Die Erfindung betrifft Schmiermittel auf Basiö von Hineralodor
Syntheceöl bzw. Sehnieriaittelkonzentrate mit wesentlich
verbesserten Eigenschaften.
Kit dor Intv/ieklung dar Technik" nehmen auch die Anforderungen
EU, welche an Schmiermittel gestellt werden· Seit langem, werden daher die G-rundsehmierstoffe, wie Mineral- oder Syntheseöle
sowie halbfeste und feste Schmierstoffe durch Zusatz von
Yerbesserungß-.iitteln den erhöhten Beanspruchungen angepaßt.
Die hierfür entwickelten Zusatzmittel verbesserten Kwar die
&:<nmdschmiermittel hinsichtlich der gewünschten Eigenschaften
wie ·ζ. B* Verminderung des Abriebs, Verbesserung der Schmiermittelhaitung,
Erhöhung der Oxydationsbeständigkeit, Eorabsetzimg
der bei der Reibung auftretenden Temperaturen und dörg
genügen jedoch den in neuerer Zeit auftretenden Anforderungen
nicht mehr in allen Pällen.
Ziel der Erfindung ist daher die Schaffung eines neuen Schmier
mittels» welches die Eigenschaften von Schmierölen und anderan
Schmierstoffen weiter verbessert und damit auch den höchsten gestellten Anforderungen gerecht wird.

Dieses Ziel wird. erriiiciungögeiBäS erreicht durch ein Schmiermittel
auf Easis von Mineral- oder Synthessöl bzw« ein Schiaie:cmittelkonaenbrat,
welches durch einen Gehalt an uindesten.3
einer scliwermetallorganischen Verbindung in Koab.ina.tion mit
mindestens einer Scliwefel-Phosphor-Vorbindung gekennzeichnet
ist.
Normalerweise besteht das erfindungsgemäßs Schmiermittel aus
dem Grundöl, also einem Mineral- oder Syntheseöl» und mindestens einer schwermetallorganischen Verbindung sowie mindestens einer
Schwefel-Phosphor-Verbindung. Das erfindungsgemäße Schmierraii;-tel
kann jedoch außer der erfindungsgemäßon, eyaorgistischen
Kombination der beiden genannten Zusätse noch weitere, in der
Schiiiieraiittelherstellung übliche Zusätze enthalten.
Das erfindtingsgemäße Schmiermittel enthält normalerweise "Ewi&clien
etwa 0,1 und 20 Gew.-$ me tall organ! sehe Verbindung und Sehv/efel-■
Phosphor-Verbindung, bezogen auf das Grandöl, Die unsere G??onse
gilt für normale Schmiermittel mit verhältnismäßig geringer Beanspruchung, die obere Grenze für Schiö.iermittelkonsenti-o.te.
Der bevorzugte Bereich für gewöhnliche Schmiermittel, wie Motorenöle,
Getriebeöle und dergl., liegt zwischen 1 und 12 Gew.~$«,
Als metallorganisch^ Verbindungen werden diejenigen mit Zink,
Blei, Zinn, Wolfram, Molybdän, Niob, Lanthan, Antimon, tfisrautli,
Chrom, Vanadium und Cadmium als Metallkouiponente bevoraugt.
Die organische Komponente der metallorganischen Verbindxingen
enthält vorzugsweise neben dem eigentlichen organischen Rest, insbesondere einem Alkylrest, auch Schwefel und/oder Phosphor.
Besonders bevorzugt werden die Dialkyldithiocarbamate sowie
die AkIy1-, Aryl~ oder Aralkyldithiophosphate der oben genann-*
ten Schv/criüetalle.

Die Herstellung dieser Schwermetalldithiophosphate und -dithiocarbamate
ist bekannt. Eine große Zahl dieser Verbindungen ist .im Handel erhältlich, beispielsweise von der Pirma R. T. Vanderbilt
Corp., Inc., N. Y., USA.
Beispiele der oben erwähnten Schwermetalldithiocarbaiaate und

Antimon-0,0-di-p-hesylpheny'ldithiophosphat; die entsprechenden
Wiamuth- und lanthaii-Verbindungen mit ζ = 3» w = 1,
χ und y = 0; dia entsprechenden 0,0-Diürganodithiophosphate
von Blei, Zink, Sinn und Cadmium, in denen ζ = 2, χι = 1, χ und
y = 0 sind} die entsprechenden 0,0-Diorganodithiophosphate von
Molybdän, Wolfram, Clixom, Vanadium und Niob, in denen ζ = 2,
w = 2, χ = 2 und y = 2 sind.
Die sohwerastailorganisehen Verbindungen sind im erfindungsgemäßen
Schmiermittel vorzugsweise»in einer Menga zwischen 0,5
und 4 G-ew.-?o bei gebrauchsfertigen Schmiermitteln und biß zu
etwa 15 Gev,'*-$ bei Konzentraten enthalten.
Beispiele für geeignete Schwefel-Phosphor-Verbindiingen, die kein
Metall enthalten,sind smlfidierter oder polysulfidierter Phosphor,
£hiophosphate und dergl. In diesen Verbindungen kann der
Schwefel teilweioe oder gana durch Selen oder Tellur ersetzt
sein. Bevorzugt werden geschwefeltes und mit Dithiophosphat
verestertes Spermöl, geschwefeltes und mit Dithiophoophat verestortes
!f'erpen und geschwefeltes und phosphoriertes Spermöl
(mit P2Op phosphoriert). Auoh diese Verbindungen sind bekannt
und werden beispielsweise in Eons eiües Gemisches mit einem
Schwefelgehalt von etwa 31»5 % und einem Phosphorgehalt von
etwa 1*75 i» unter der Bezeichnung "Anglamol 99" von der Firma
Lubriaol, USA vertrieben. Die laetallfreien Schwefel und Phosphor
enthaltenden Verbindungen sind im erfindu^gsgemußen Schmier-

mittel in den gleichen Mengen enthalten, wie die schwermetallorganischen
Verbindungen. Auch die bevorzugten Bereiche sind gleich. Besonders günstige Ergebnisse werden jedoch erhalten, ■
wenn die Schwefel-Phosphor-Verbindung in etwa der 2- bis öfacher:
Gewichtsmenge, bezogen auf die schwermetallorganiscbe Verbindung'
vorliegt.
Geeignet für das erfinaungsgemäße Schmiermittel sind die üblicherweise
zur SehMiermitteiherstellung verwendeten Natur- und
Syntheseöle. Gute Ergebnisse wurden in einem großen Viskositätsbereich erhalten, der beispielsweise bei Naturölen zwischen
1,8° E (Engler) bei 20° C bis 35° E bei 50° C liegt, sowie bei
Syntheseölen, wie Diisodecylphthalat, !Erimethylsdipat oder
Sebaainsäuredioctylcster bei Viskositäten zwischen 1,8° E bei 20° C bis etwa 6,5° E bei 50° G.
.Die erfindungsgemäßen Schmiermittel besitzen gegenüber bekannten Schmiermitteln wesentlich verbesserte Eigenschaften. Insbesondere
wird durch den erfindungsgemäßen Schmierstoff der Verschleiß lierabge setäst, die Haftfestigkeit dee Grenz Schmierfilmes
verbeesert, die Oxydationsbeständigkeit und damit die
Lebensdauer des Schmiermittels deutlieh erhöht und der !Reibungskoeffizient
und damit auch die Betriebstemperatur erniedrigt. Besonders"vorteilhaft ist, daß diese Verbesserungen in einem
sehr weiten Viskositätsbereich erhalten werden, worauf oben bereits hingewiesen wurde. Infolgedessen können nunmehr Öle
niedriger Viskosität auch dort verwendet werden, wo bisher hohe Viskositätsgrade unbedingt erforderlich waren, beispielsweise
bei Getrieben und Differentialgetrieben. Das erfindungsgemäße Schmiermittel macht es möglich, daß beispielsweise in
einem Kraftfahrzeug im Getriebe und Differentialgetriebe das
gleiche Öl wie im Motor verwendet werden kann. Durch geeignete Abstimmung der Komponenten des erfindungsgeraäßen Schmiermittels
läßt sich dieses den verschiedenen Anforderungen und Spesialfällen
ohne weiteres anpassen und zur Auffindung eigner h

ders geeignete Zusammensetzung für einen besonderen Zweck sind
lediglieh einige Vorversuche erforderlich.
Die folgenden 3eispiele erläutern die Erfindung weiter.
Beist?iel 1
Es wurde eine Sehmierol-'festvorrichtung verwendet, bei der ein
Kolbenbolzen von 2 Röllchen beaufschlagt wird. An Röllchen uii.d
Kolbenbolzen wird der aufgetretene Verschleiß unter den verschiedenen
Versuclisbedingungen bestimmt. Die verwendete Vorrichtung basiert auf dem unter der Bezeichnung "Lubrirceter"
von der Eirma Sommer und Runge in Berlin hergestellten Gerät
in der verbesserten Bauart Lohmaier. Heben Verschleiß werden Reibbeivier-t und !Temperatur, Flächenpressung bei Testende sowie
Zustand der Lauf spur und besondere Veränderungen an den Röllchen festgestellt.
JLuf dem Tiubrimeter wurde unter den unten angegebenen Bedingungen
ein erfiriduugsgemäßes Schmiermittel, welches in einem Grundöl
von Viskositätsgrad 90 SÄE 1,5 Gew.-^ Molybdändithiophosphat
und 6,5 Gew«-$ einer metallfreien Schwefel-Phosphor-Verbindung
(Anglsffiol 99), die aus einer Mischung von geschwefeitern und mit
Dithiopiiosphat verestertem Spermöl bzw. Terpen bestand, enthielt,
mit 2 verbesserten Schmiermitteln außerhalb der Erfindung verglichen,
velche in einer Menge von jeweils 8 Gew.-% nur einen
der beiden Zusätze, also schwermetallorganische Verbindung oder inetallfreie Schwefel-Phosphor-Verbindung im selben Grundöl enthielten.
Die Yersiichsergebnisse und Bedingungen zeigt die nachstehende
Zusammenstellung:

Die obigen V/erte zeigen, daß das erfindungsgemäße Schmiermittel
trotz wesentlich geringerem Gehalt an metallorganischer Verbindung hinsichtlich Zustand der Laufspur und Schmantbildung weit
überlegen ist. Diese Überlegenheit geht auch daraus hervor, daß der Abrieb beim erfindungsgemäßen Schmiermittel nur etwa 5 $
bzw. etwa 11 $> der Vergleichsproben beträgt. Entsprechend ist
die Flächenpressung bei Versuchsende beim erfindungsgemäßen ' Schmiermittel ausgeprägt höher als bei den Vergleichsproben
und die Reibbeiwerte entsprechen trotz des niedrigen Gehaltes

an inetaliorganischer Verbindung denen der Vergleichsprobe mit
vielfach höherem Gehalt an metallorganischer Verbindung.
Die Versuche wurden wie in Beispiel 1 beschrieben und unter gleichen Versuchsbedingungen durchgeführt. Das erfindungcjgemäße
Schmiermittel enthielt jedoch anstelle von 1,5 Gew.-^ Molybdändithiophosphat
in diesem Falle 1,5 Gew.-$ Zinkdithiophosphat und die Vergleichsprobe enthielt 8 Gew.-$ Zinkdithiophosphat.
Folgende Ergebnisse wurden erhalten:

Claims (6)
- -- 14P A T E Π !Γ Α ίί S P R ϋ C H 31i) Schmiermittel auf der Basis von Mineral- oder Syntheseol bjawo Schmiermittelkonzentrat, gekenn se lehnet durch einen Gehalt an· mindestens einer schwermetallorganisehen Verbindung in Kombination mit mindestens einer Schwefel-Phosphor-Yerbindung.
- 2.) Schmiermittel nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die schvermetallorganiBehe Verbindimg ein Dialkjldithiocarbamat oder ein mit Alkyl-, Aryl- oder Aralkylgruppen verestertes Dithiophosphat ist.
- 3.) Schmiermittel nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die schv/ermetallorganische Verbindung als Metallkomponente Zink, Blei, Zinn, Wolfram, Molybdän, Niob, Lanthan, Antimon, Wismuth, Chrom, Vanadium oder/und Cadmium enthält.
- 4.) Schmiermittel nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Schwefel-Fhosphor-Verbindung geschwefeltes und mit Dithiophosphat verestertes Speraöl bsw. Terpen oder geschwefeltes und phosphoriertes Spermöl ist.
- 5.) Schmiermittel nach Anspruch 2 oder 3, dadurch gekenniseich*- net». daß das Dithiocarbamate bzw. Dithiophosphat Alkylgruppen mit 2 bis 10 Kohlenstoffatomen bzw. gegebenenfalls durch niedrige Alkylreste in o- und p-Stellung substituierte Phenylreste enthält.
- 6.) Schmiermittel nach einem der Ansprüche 1,2, 3 oder 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß'die Schwefel—Phosphor-Verbindung ein polysulfidierter Phosphor ist.209844/0921
