Claims (6)

1. Implantat zur Stabiliserung der Vertebrae cervicales, bestehend aus einem metallischen Körper mit einem im wesentlichen U-förmigen Querschnitt, wobei in den Schenkeln eine Vielzahl von Ausnehmungen eingebracht ist und die oberen und unteren Endflächen des metallischen Körpers Arretierungsvorsprünge oder -zacken aufweisen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der metallische Implantatkörper über seine Längsachse eine ventralkonvexe Krümmung besitzt, wobei Abschnitte der seitlichen Schenkel nach außen gerichtete Befestigungs­ krallen umfassen und am Implantatkörper Solltrennstellen zum bedarfsweisen Anpassen oder Kürzen vorgesehen sind.
2. Implantat nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Befestigungskrallen durch Ausstanzen oder Fräsen ausgebildet sind und die Form einer Zunge aufweisen, wobei die Zungenspitze nach außen gekröpft ist und eine Schnei­ denform besitzt.
3. Implantat nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Befestigungskrallen in den seitlichen Schenkeln jeweils gegenüberliegend oder versetzt gegenüberliegend angeordnet sind.
4. Implantat nach Anspruch 2 oder 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Zungen sich in Richtung der Öffnung des U-förmigen Querschnitts erstrecken und mittels eines geeigneten Werkzeugs um einen vorgegebenen Betrag so nach außen biegbar sind, daß die Zungenspitze die Umhüllende des metallischen Körpers nach außen durchdringt.
5. Implantat nach einem der vorangegangenen Ansprüche, gekennzeichnet durch ein Verhältnis der Breite der seitlichen Schenkel zur Breite des Schenkelverbindungsabschnitts von im wesent­ lichen 1, 3 zu 1 bis 2 zu 1.
6. Implantat nach einem der vorangegangenen Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Arretierungsvorsprünge eine Bogenspitzenform besitzen.
