Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von 1,3» 1I-Diazaphospholanen
durch Umsetzung von N-Methylol- bzw. N-Mercaptomethyl-harnstoffverbindungen
und Phosphortrihalogeniden.
Es wurde gefunden, daß man 1,3,^-Diazaphospholane der allgemeinen

sein können und jeweils einen aliphatischen, cycloaliphatischen, araliphatischen oder aromatischen Rest bezeichnen, R, ein Halogenatom
bedeutet und X für ein Sauerstoffatom oder ein Schwefelatom steht, vorteilhaft erhält, wenn man N-Methylol- oder N-Alkoxymethylharnstoffe
der allgemeinen Formel

Die Umsetzung läßt sich für den Fall der Verwendung von N,N1-Dimethyl-N-methoxymethyl-harnstoff
und Phosphortrichlorid durch folgende Formeln wiedergeben;

Das Verfahren nach der Erfindung liefert auf einfachem Wege eine
große Zahl von 1,3,^-Diaaaphospholanen in guter Ausbeute und Reinheit.
Als Ausgangsstoffe werden N-Methylol- und N-Alkoxymethy!verbindungen von disubstituierten Harnstoffen und Thioharnstoffen der
allgemeinen Formel II verwendet. Bevorsagte Ausgangsstoffe II
und dementsprechend bevorsugte Endstoffe I sind solche, in deren
Formeln R^ und Rg gleich oäer verschieden sein können und jeweils
einen Alkylreat mit 1 bis 7 Kohlenstoffatomen, einen Gycloalkylrest
mit 5 bis 10 Kohlenstoffatomen» einen Aralkylrest mit 7 bis
12 Kohlenstoffatomen, einen Arylreat mit 6 bis 10 Kohlenstoffatomen
bezeichnen, X für ein Sauerstoffatom oder ein Schwefelatom
steht und R11 ein Wasser stoff atom oder einen Alkylreet mit
1 bis 5 Kohlenstoffatomen bedeutet, Di® genannten Resto können
noch durch unter den Reaktionibedingungm- Inerta Gruppen und/oder
Atome, a. B. Xther- oder Halogenalkylgruppen mit t bis 4 Kohlenstoffatomen

Die Umsetzung wird in ätr Regel bei einer temperatur strisohtn
-10° und *1OO°C| voreugeiftise Etlichen tpr und 500C, drucklos oder
unter Druck, kontinuierlich oder diskontinuierlich durohgeführt.
Zweckmäßig verwendet man unter den Reaktioneneflingungen inerte«

Tetrachlorkohlenstoff, Trichloräthaft; Xther, «, B. Oioxan,

mit einem geeigneten Lösungsmittel wife Aceton öder Trichlorftthan,
abgetrennt.
Die nach dem Verfahren der Erfindung herstellbaren neuen 1*3»4~
DiataphoBpholane sind Plawßichuteeittei «rtd wertvolle Ausgangsstoffe für die Herstellung von Plannechut«mitteln, insbesondere
für Textilien, Lacke und Kunststoffe. So kann nan aus innen durch
Umsetzung mit Ammoniak entsprechende aminierte Verbindungen herstellen und mit diesen, e. B. in einer Menge von BO bis 150
Gramm je Kilogramm Fasermateriai, Baumwollgewebe in wäßriger Lösung imprägnieren, trocknen und somit flammfest ausrüsten.
Ebenfalls kann man die genannten Aminoverbindungen zusammen mit bekannten Knitterfest-, Quellfest- oder Krumpffesthilfsmitteln
für die Herstellung von entsprechenden flammfesten Ausrüstungen
auf Zellulose enthaltenden Geweben verwenden. In entsprechender

Weise können die durch Hydrolyse mit Wasser oder Alkali gewonnenen
Üreidomethy!phosphonsäuren verwendet werden.
Besonders wertvolle Endstoffe des Verfahrens sind 1,3,4-Diazaphospholane
der allgemeinen Formel

jeweils einen Alkylrest mit 1 bis 7 Kohlenstoffatomen, einen Cycloalkylrest

7 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen, einen Arylrest mit 6 bis 10 Kohlenstoffatomen bezeichnen, X für ein Sauerstoffatom oder ein Schwefelatom
steht und R- ein Chlor- oder Bromatom bedeutet. Solche Endstoffe sind z. B. 2,4-Dioxo-l,3-dimethyl-4-chlor-l,3,4-diazaphospholan,
2-Thiono~4-oxo-l,3-diäthyl-4-chlor-l,3,4-diazaphOBpholan,
2,4-Dioxo-l,3-diphenyl-4-c"hlor-l,3,4-diazaphospholan,
2,4-Dioxo-l,3-dibuty1-4-brora-l,3 >4-diazaphospholan.

In einer Rührapparatur werden zu 6QO Teilen Phosphortrichlorid
unter Rühren 396 Teile Ν,Ν'-Dimethyl-N-methoxymethyl-harnstoff

langsam zugegeben. Die Reaktionswärme wird durch Kühlen so
abgeführt, daß das Reaktionsgemisch eine Temperatur von 45 bis 500C aufweist, wobei das entstehende Methylchlorid entweicht.
Nach einstündigem Rühren bei 500C wird das überschüssige Phosphortrichlorid
unter vermindertem Druck abdestilliert. Der Rückstand kristallisiert beim Abkühlen. Es werden 480 Teile
l,3-Dimethyl-2,1l-dioxo-4-chlor-l,3»4-diazaphospholan erhalten.
Das entspricht einer Ausbeute von 88 % der Theorie. Zur Reinigung kann das Produkt aus Aceton umkristallisiert werden. Fp: 112 ll6°C
unter Zersetzung.

Zur Lösung von 135,5 Teilen Phosphortribromld in 300 Teilen Trichloräthan
werden unter Rühren und Kühlen in einer Rührapparatur mit Rückflußkühlung und Ableitungsrohr bei 30 bis 350C 66 Teile
Ν,Ν'-Dimethyl-N-methoxymethyl-harnstoff langsam zugegeben. Das
l,3~Dimethyl-2,4-dioxo-4-brom-l,3,4-diazaphospholan fällt aus dem Gemisch kristallin aus. Nach einstündigem Rühren wird das Gemisch
unter Feuchtigkeitsausschluß abgesaugt, das Filtergut wird dann mit etwas Trichloräthan gewaschen und getrocknet. Es v/erden
99 Teile l,3-Dimethyl-2,4-dioxo-4~brom-l,3,4-diazaphospholan
erhalten; das entspricht einer Ausbeute von 87 % der Theorie.

In einer Rührapparatur werden zur Lösung von 148 Teilen N,N'-Dimethyl-N~methoxymethyl-thioharnstoff
in 500 Teilen Dioxan langsam 200 Teile Phosphortrichlorid zugegeben. Durch Kühlen
wird das Reaktionsgemisch bei einer Temperatur von 50 bis 6O0C
gehalten. Nach Zugabe des Phosphortrichlorids-wird das Reaktionsgemisöh
eine Stunde bei 500G gerührt. Anschließend wird das
überschüssige Phosphortrichlorid zusammen mit dem Lösungsmittel unter vermindertem Druck abdestilliert. Der Rückstand kristallisiert
beim Abkühlen. Es werden ΙβΟ Teile ls3~Dimethyl-2-thiono-4-oxo~4-chlor-ls3,4--diazaphospholan
erhalten. Das entspricht einer Ausbeute von 80,5 % der Theorie. Zur Reinigung kann das
Produkt aus Dioxan umkristallisiert werden. Pp. 88 - 920C unter Zersetzung

Zu einer Lösung von 200 Teilen Phosphortrichlorid in 500 Teilen Toluol werden unter Rühren in kleinen Anteilen 2Ί2 Teile Ν,Ν1-Diphenyl-N-methylol-harnstoff
eingetragen. Das Reaktionsgemisch wird anschließend eine Stunde bei 500C erwärmt und unter Peuchtigkeitsausschluß
abfiltriert. Das Filtergut wird getrocknet. Es werden 2*10 Teile l,3-Diphenyl-2,it-dioxo-1}-chlor-l,3,1*-diazaphospholan
erhalten. Das entspricht einer Ausbeute von 78 % der Theorie. Pp. 105 - HO0C unter Zersetzung.
