Orientierte Verwachsungen von makromolekularen Verbindungen.
Orientierte Verwachsungen zwischen makromolekularen Verbindungen und niedermolekularen Verbindungen sind bekannt, so z.B. die
orientierte Aufwaohsung (Epitaxie) von Pentachlorphenol auf orientiertem Polyäthylen und Polyamid sowie die orientierte
Aufwachsung der letztgenannten^makromolekularen Stoffe auf (100) von Steinsalz. In diesen Fällen tritt der makromolekulare·
Stoff also entweder als Gast- oder als Wirtsgitter auf. Dabei ist die eine Verwachsungskomponente, nämlich die niedermolekulare,
vollständig kristallisiert, während die makromolekulare Komponente nur teilweise kristallisiert mit einem je nach der Art des makromolekularen
Stoffes verschieden hohen Grad der Kristallinitat. j
Es wurde nun überraschenderweise gefunden, daß auch zwei verschiedene
hochmolekulare Stoffe, d.h. zwei nur teilweise ! kristallisierte Stoffe, miteinander zu orientierten Verwachsungen |
gebracht werden können. :
Die Verwachsungen lassen sioh in an sich bekannter Weise, so z.B. durch Aufbringen einer Lösung der Gastsubstanz in geeigneten, j
vorzugsweise unpolaren Lösungsmitteln auf die orientierte Wirts- ;
substanz, erhalten. Durch Variation der Versuchsbedingungen, namentlich der auf der Wirtsubstanz aufgebrachten Menge Gastsubstanz,
kann die Grüße der Gastkristalle vom submikroskopischen
Bereich bis zu: lückenlosen Schichten dar Gastkristalle variiert
werden. Durch wechselseitiges Aufbringen von Gast- und Wirtskrietall
lassen sioh auf diese Welse auch "Sonicrttkrlstalle"
und "anomale Mischkristalle" erhalte«.
Als Beispiel sei die duroh Aufbringen einer Lösung von PoIyäthylen
in p-Xylol auf orientierte» Polyoxymethylen leicht zu
erhaltene Aufwaohsung erwähnt.

KrefeldIn orientiert verwachsenem Zustand sind die Eigenschaften der hochmolekularen Stoffe in technisch vorteilhafter Weise abgevrandelt. So lassen sich z.B. die Oberflächen des Wirtsstoffes durch Aufbringen eines orientiert verwachsenen Gaststoffes vergüten.Die orientiert verwachsenen hochmolekularen Stoffe können mit Vorteil auf den verschiedensten Anwendungsgebieten der Kunststoffe eingesetzt werden.BeispielKörner des unter dem Warenzeichen "Delrin" im Handel befindlichen Polyoxymethylens werden zu dünnen, runden Scheibchen verpreßt. Auf der Oberfläche dieser Scheibchen verwachsen geeignete niedermolekulare Stoffe orientiert auf; so scheidet sich z.B. aufsublirniertes Pentachlorphenol in nadeiförmigen Kristallen mit der Nadellängsachse parallel dem Radius der Scheibchen orientiert ab.Auf die Oberfläche der auf 120° erhitzten Scheibchen wird eine etwa 0,2#ige Lösung des unter dem Warenzeichen "Marlex"(M=105000) im Handel befindlichen Polyäthylens in p-Xylol aufgebracht.Das Polyäthylen kristallisiert in Nadelform bzw. fibrillären,häufig Krümmungen aufweisenden Kristalliten mit den Nadellängsachsen in einer Stellung, und zwar senkrecht zum Radius der kreisförmigen Teilchen, d.h. also in tangentialer Richtung, aus.F a tentanapruohOrientierte Verwachsungen makromolekularer Stoffe.109832/1634
