Die vorliegende Erfindung "bezieht sich auf einen ülzusatz zur
Übertragung von Kehrzweckei^enschaften toif ein Schmieröl.
Der Zusatz wird aus dem lieaktionsprodukt eines einwertigen
Alkohols, welcher 12 bis 22 Kohlenstoffatome im Molekül aufweist,
und einem "Unisetzungsprodukt aus Polybuten und Phosphorpentasulfid
gewonnen. ■
Es ist bereits ein lieaktionsprodukt aus einem mit Pp S1- behandelten
und mit einem ein- oder mehrwertigen Alkohol umgesetzten Polyolefin bekannt. Dabei weist jedoch der verwendete
Alkohol vorzugsweise 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatome auf. Verwendung
soll der bekannte Stoff als Schmierölzusatz finden, da er besonders
die schlammbildenden Eigenschaften des Öls fördert. ,Mehrzweckeigenschaften werden mit dem Zusatz nicht erreicht.
Bekannt iat auch ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von. phosphorgeschwefelten
Kohlenwasserstoffen, bei welchem organische Hydroxy!verbindungen, u.a. einwertige aliphatische Alkohole
mit 4 bis p2 Kohlenstoffatomen, eingesetzt werden. Sie finden
dort jedoch nicht als' Eeaktionskomponente, sondern lediglich
als Katalysatoren in-Mengen von 0,001 bis 0,9 Gewichtsprozent,
bezogen auf die Gesamtmenge der äeaktionsteilnehmer, zur Beschleunigung
der Phosphorschwefelungsreaktion Verwendung.

Es wurde auch schon ein SehmierÖlzusatz beschrieben, der das

und einem Alkyl enoxyd ist. üiin xiinweis auf die Ver-' :
wendung von einwertigen Alkoholen findet sich dort jedoch nicht.
irfindungsgemäß wird nun das eingangs dargestellte Jieaktionsprodukt
außerdem noch mit einem Polyamin umgesetzt.
Vorzugsweise ist der erfindungsgeiuiäße Öl zusatz das iie-aktions.-produkt
eines ungesättigten Alkohols mit denweiteren iieaktionsteilnehmern,
wobei das mit Phosphorpentasulfid umgesetzte Polybuten
ein läolekulargewicht von 500 - 200G aufweisen soll.
Das üeaktionsprodukt soll dabei in erster Linie mit Dipropylentriamin
oder Tetraäthylenpentamin umgesetzt v/eruen.
Der erfindungsgemäße Zusatz soll' Vorzugsweise das ileaktions—
produkt von Oleylalkoliol mit den weiteren jieaktionsteilnehmern
sein. ' .
Seine optimale .Virkung erreicht der Zusatz, v/enn er nach der
Erfindung in Lengen von 1 bis 20 Gew.-/ü, vorzüglich von
3 bis 5 Gew.-70, dem öl zugesetzt wird."

folgendermaßen durchgeführt werden:
Ein mit Phospho.rpentasulfid umgesetztes Polybuten (Molekular- :
gewicht i?0ü bis 2ÜÜ0) mit einem Phosphorgehalt von 2 bis 8
Gew.-> und einem dchwefelgehalt von 4- bis 16 Gew.-'/<? wird 1 Stunde
bei 130 bis 2000G mit 15 bis 50 Gew.-%, vorzugsweise
25 Grew.-/ö," bezogen auf das phosphorgeschwefelte Polybuten,
eines einwertigen, hochmolekularen, vorzugsweise ungesättigten tfettalkohols zur .Reaktion gebracht.
Das hierbei erhaltene iieaktionsprodukt kann gegebenenfalls in
einer zweiten Verfahrensstufe 1/2 stunde bei 80 bis 1500C mit
1 bis 20 Gew.-^ Polyamin (bezogen auf das in der ersten· Stufe
erhaltene iieaktionsprodukt) umgesetzt werden.
Ein üchmierölzusatz gemäß der Erfindung wird folgendermaßen
hergestellt: ■
75 6 eines Umsetzungsproduktes von PqSc und Polybuten (mittleres
Molekulargewicht etwa 700, Phosphorgehalt 5»85 Grew»-/s,
Schwefelgehalt 6,4 Qew.-%) werden 1 Stunde bei 175°O mit 25 g
teclinischem Oleylalkohol gerührt. Bei der Umsetzung entweicht
Schwefelwasserstoff, und die Alkoholkonzentration nimmt ab, was aus einer Abnahme der OH-Konzentration im Ultrarotspektrum
festgestellt wird. Nach 1 Stunde ist die Umsetzung beendet,
was sich aus dem völligen Verschwinden der OH-Gruppe im Ultrarotspektrum ergibt.
Nach dem Abkühlen des Produktes auf 1300G werden 3 Gew.-%
Dipropylentriamin zugesetzt, worauf das Gemisch 30 Minuten gerührt
wird. Das Ende der Reaktion ist an dem völligen Verschwinden
der KHp-Gruppe im Ultrarotspektrum zu erkennen. Die
Umsetzung erfolgt zu etwa 100>b.

Das Reaktionsprodukt ist eine dunkelrote, viskose Flüssigkeit, die keiner weiteren Reinigung mehr bedarf· Es ist mit Mineralölen
wie mit aliphatischen, aromatischen und naphthanischen Kohlenwasserstoffen in Jedem Verhältnis mischbar.
Ein Korrosionstest wird folgendermaßen durchgeführtι
Je 95 Gew»-% eines Mineralschmieröls (Viskosität etwa 50 -cSt
bei 500O) werden mit je 3 Gew.-% der folgenden Zusätze vermischtt
· '·
(1) mit Fhosphorpentasulfid behandeltes Polybuten
(Molekulargewicht 700),
(2) Unisetzungsprodukt von (1) mit Oleylalkohol,
(3) Umsetzungsprodukt von (2) mit Dipropylentriamin.
Je 98 ml des mit dem Jeweiligen Zusatz vermischten Öls werden
mit je 2 ml Wasser verrührt. In jedes dieser Gemische wird ein
Kupferstreifen und ein Lagersegment (Kugellagerschale) eingebracht
und 4-8 Stunden bei 1000O darin "belassen. Die Ergebnisse
sind die folgenden:

Auch bei Anwendung höherer Konzentrationen liefern die Zusätze
gemäß der.Erfindung in dieser Beziehung befriedigende Ergebnisse.

97 Gew.-% eines Mineralöles SÄE 20 werden mit 3 Gew.-% des
oben beschriebenen Reaktionsproduktes aus mit Po^5 behandeltem
Polybuten, .Oleylalkohol und Dipropylentriamin vermischt.
Dieses Schmierölgemisch wird 50 Stunden in einem Einzylinder-Dieselmotor
unter Vollast geprüft, wobei der Kraftstoff 1 Gew.-% Schwefel enthält. Ein Vergleichsversuch wird mit einem
handelsüblichen HD-Öl durchgeführt, welches ein aschehaltiges
Detergens enthält. Die Ergebnisse sind die folgenden?

Der Yergleich zeigtj daß die reinigende Wirkung im Motor für ein
aschefreies Produkt, ausgesprochen günstig ist.

In Kombination mit aschehaltigen.Detergenten zeigt der oben beschriebene
Zusatz gemäß der Erfindung in einer sich über 50
Stünden erstreckenden Prüfung in eia&m 4-Zylinder-Dieselmotor
ein ähnlichesErgebnis wie die bisher üblichen aschefreien
Dispergiermititel, die jedoch zum Unterschied von dem Zusatz gemäß
der Erfindung nur eine dispergierende Wirkung und keine
sonstigen» die Eigenschaften des Schmieröls verbessernden Wirkungen aufweisen. Die. Ergebnisse dieser Versuche sind die folgenden:

Die Dispergierwirkung, die für den motorischen und ifaydraulischen
Betrieb von großer Bedeutung ist, wird in folgender Weise untersucht:

In eine Lösung von 1,0 g Schmierölzusatz in 100 ml Iformalbenzin
wird 0,1 g Standardruß eingerührt. Das Gemisch wird in einen —
100 ml-Meßzylinder überführt und im Verlaufe von 14 Sagen auf .
etwaige Sedimentation geprüft.

Auch nach mehrmonatigem Stehen zeigte der Zusatz gemäß der Erfindung noch ausgezeichnetes Dispergiervermögen, welches somit
ein einwandfreies schlammdispergierendes Verhalten im Motor
gewährleistet.
Die Hochdruckeigenschaften der Schmiermittel gemäß der Erfindung werden im Vierkügelgerät, im FZGr-Ge triebeprüf stand und in
einer Mercedes-Hinterachse geprüft·
Der oben beschriebene Zusatz gemäß der Erfindung wird in einem
Mineralöl SAE JO in einer Konzentration von 6 G-ew.-% gelöst.
Die öle werden dann nach den oben angegebenen Methoden mit den
folgenden Ergebnissen untersucht»

Das Verhalten gegenüber Dichtungsmaterial wird duroh Versuche
ermittelt, bei denen ein "Simmering-Material" der Firma
L· Freudenberg, Weinheim, ■1QO Stunden bei 15O0O mit der ülbasis

Sehr hoch ist auch die Wärmebeständigkeit des Zusatzes der Erfindung sowie der damit hergestellten ßehmieyöle.
Dies geht aus den folgenden Versuchsergebnissen hervor:

- MUPatentansprüche;1» Ülzusatz zur "Übertragung von Mehrzweckeigenschaften auf ein Schmieröl, bestehend aus dem Reaktionsprodukt eines einwertigen Alkohols, welcher 12 bis 22 Kohlenstoffatome im Molekül aufweist, und einem Umsetzungsprodukt aus Polybuten und Phos-.phorpentasulfid, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Reaktionsprodukt außerdem noch mit einem Polyaminvtunges et zt worden ist.2,# ülzusatz nach Anspruch i, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß er das Beaktipnsprodukt eines ungesättigten Alkohols mit den weiteren Reaktionsteilnehmern ist, wobei das ϊβΙ* Phosphorpentasulfid umgesetzte Polybuten ein Molekulargewicht von 500 bis 2QO aufweisen soll. - __..
