Claims (6)

10 Patentansprüche
1. Verfahren zur Alkoxylierung fluorierter Alkohole durch Kontaktieren der Alkohole mit einem Alkoxylierungsmittel in Gegenwart eines Katalysators bei Temperaturen von etwa 90 bis etwa 260° C, dadurch gekennzeichnet , daß man als Katalysator mindestens eine Verbindung einer allgemeinen Formel, gewählt aus der folgenden Gruppe, verwendet:

und
SiF4/M(R)(
worin bedeuten:
M ein Metall, gewählt aus der Gruppe Gallium,
Indium, Thallium, Zirkon, Hafnium, Aluminium und Titan,
ν 1 bis q- 1 ,
η 1 bis 22,
q entspricht der Wertigkeit von M,
R unabhängig Wasserstoff, Fluor, Alkylgruppen mit 1 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen, Alkoxidgruppen mit 1 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen,
R unabhängig Wasserstoff oder Fluor und
X Halogen.
2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß es bei Temperaturen von etwa 100 bis etwa 200° C durchgeführt wird.
3- Verfahren nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet , daß das Molverhältnis von HF, BF^ oder SiF1. zu M im Bereich von etwa 0,1 bis etwa 5,0 liegt.
4. Verfahren nach Anspruch 3, dadurch g e k e η η -
zeichnet, daß der Katalysator aus der Gruppe HF/Al(OCnR1 2n+1)3 ; HF/Ti(OCnR1 2n+1)^

1sns20 und R Wasserstoff oder Fluor bedeuten, gewählt wird.
5. Verfahren nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet , daß der Katalysator in situ aus den gleichen Alkoholen, die alkoxyliert werden, bei der Umsetzung mit Metallalkylen gebildet wird.
6. Verfahren nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet , daß die fluorierten Alkohole aus der Gruppe CF- ..(CHp) OH, worin m 3 oder mehr und
a 1 bis 12 bedeuten, gewählt werden.
