Trockenapparat.
Patentirt im Deutschen Reiche vom 17. September 1880 ab.
Der auf beiliegender Zeichnung dargestellte Trockenapparat unterscheidet sich von allen bis jetzt gebräuchlichen hauptsächlich dadurch, dafs nicht allein die in dem Cylinder befindliche Transportschnecke, sondern auch der Cylinder selbst in Rotation versetzt wird, wodurch ein fortwährendes Umschütten des zu trocknenden Materials, Kohle, Malz etc., erzielt wird.
Der Apparat besteht aus einer Anzahl über einander liegender Cylinder α, welche im Innern mit den Transportschnecken c versehen sind und sich mit diesen drehen. Zur Ueberführung des Materials von einem Cylinder zum andern dienen die Trichter d. Für gewisse Stoffe wird es sich empfehlen, den eigentlichen Trockencylinder α noch in einen gröfseren b einzuschliefsen, damit die von den Feuerungen hergeleitete Hitze nicht direct an den Trockencylinder gelangt, wodurch eine Feuersgefahr gänzlich vermieden wird.

  1. PATENT-Anspruch:
    Ein Apparat zum Trocknen von Kohle, Malz etc. mit Trockencylindern, die sich gleichzeitig mit der in ihnen enthaltenen Transportschnecke drehen.
