Die Erfindung befaßt sich mit einem Verfahren zur Herstellung von neuen 1,1,1 -Trichlor- bzw. -bromphospholinen.
Bekanntlich können Phospholine, auch als Phosphacyclopentenverbindungen
bekannt, durch Reaktion von Dihalogenhydrocarbyl- oder Dihalogenalkoxy- oder -aroxyphosphinen mit konjungierten Dienen bei
einer Temperatur zwischen 0 und 100° C oder mehr hergestellt werden. Hierfür wurde folgendes Reaktionsschema vorgeschlagen:

in welchem X Halogen und R einen organischen Rest darstellen. Für dieses Syntheseverfahren ist somit die
Verwendung eines organischen Dihalogenphosphins erforderlich, das im allgemeinen in nur niedriger Ausbeute
durch Reaktion von beispielsweise PCl3 mit Olefinen erhalten werden kann. Darüber hinaus
können die auf diese Weise hergestellten Dihalogenphospholine nicht ohne weiteres durch Austausch der
aus dem ursprünglichen Dihalogenphosphin stammenden organischen Gruppe durch andere Gruppen
modifiziert werden.
Wegen der starken Ringspannung von 1,1,1 -Trichlor- bzw. bromphospholinen war nicht zu erwarten,
daß diese Verbindungen darzustellen sind. Tatsächlich führt gemäß UlIm a η η, Enzyklopädie der technischen
Chemie, 3. Auflage, Bd. 13, S. 575 unten, die Umsetzung von PCl3 bzw. PCl5 mit Olefinen zu einer
Anlagerung von Chlor und PCl2 bzw. PCl4 an die
Doppelbindung. Auch Butadien lagert PCl5 an die olefinischen Doppelbindungen an, ohne daß ein
Ringschluß erfolgt, wie aus Houben — Weyl, Bd. 12/1, S. 394 unten, hervorgeht. Danach mußte
bei Verwendung von PCl3 an Stelle von PCl5 als
analoge Reaktion allenfalls die Bildung eines chlorsubstituierten Dichlorphosphins erwartet werden,
aber nicht die Bildung eines 1,1,1-Trichlorphospholins.
Außerdem geht aus einem Referat in Chemical Abstracts, 1950, Spalten 1401 h bis 1402 e, hervor,
daß in Abwesenheit von Sauerstoff unter 350 bis 4000C keine Reaktion zwischen Olefinen und PCl3
stattfindet, bei Sauerstoffanwesenheit sich dagegen Additionsprodukte der erwähnten Art bilden. Styrol
wird polymerisiert.

Erfindungsgemäß werden diese Schwierigkeiten dadurch überwunden, daß man zur Herstellung von
1,1,1-Trichlor- bzw. -bromphospholinen Butadien, das gegebenenfalls durch Methyl-, Phenyl-, Methoxy-,
Acetoxy-, Carbäthoxyreste oder Chloratome substtiuiert ist oder die in 1- und 2-Stellung und die in 3- und
4-Stellung befindlichen Kohlenstoffatome miteinander durch Tetramethylenbrücken verbunden sein können,
mit Phosphortrichlorid oder Phosphortribromid, gegebenenfalls in Anwesenheit eines Polymerisationsinhibitors, bei einer Temperatur nicht mehr als 40° C
umsetzt.
Erfindungsgemäß als Ausgangssubstanz geeignete Diene sind: 1,3-Butadien, Isopren, Chloropren, 2,3-Dimethylbutadien,
1,1,3 - Trimethyl - 1,3 - butadien, - Phenyl - 1,3 - butadien, 1 -Methoxy -1,3 - butadien,
Diäthylester von l,3-Butadien-l,4-dicarboxylsäure, 1-Acetoxy-1,3-butadien, 2,3-Diphenyl-1,3-butadien,
Ι,Γ-Bis-cyclohexenyl. Bevorzugte Ausgangssubstanzen
sind: 1,3-Butadien, Isopren, 2,3-Dimethyl-l, 3-butadien
und Ι,Γ-Bis-cyclohexenyl einerseits sowie PCl3 andererseits.
Die beiden Reaktionsteilnehmer können in äquimolarer Menge oder auch in einem molaren Überschuß
bis zu 200 % oder noch mehr verwendet werden.

Oft eignet sich ein Überschuß an dem Dien, das dann gleichzeitig als Reaktionsmedium dient. Die Reaktion
kann ebenfalls in einem reaktionsneutralen Lösungsmittel wie Petroläther, Cyclohexan, Benzol, CCl4,
CHCl3 und CH2Cl2 zur Durchführung gelangen. Das
Reaktionsgemisch muß wasserfrei sein.
Die Reaktion wird bei einer Temperatur von nicht mehr als 400C und gewöhnlich bei Zimmertemperatur
durchgeführt.
Um eine zufriedenstellende Ausbeute an 1,1,1-Trichlor-
bzw. -bromphospholin zu erhalten, setzt man bevorzugt eine geringe Menge eines Polymerisationsinhibitors, insbesondere 0,1 bis 2,0 Gewichtsprozent,
bezogen auf das Reaktionsgemisch, zu.
Geeignete Inhibitoren sind Kupfersalze wie CuCl, CuJ, Kupfer(I)-stearat oder -naphthenat, Dinitrobenzol
und Hydrochinon. Besitzt das Dien, beispielsweise 2,3-Dimethylbutadien, eine geringere Neigung
zur Polymerisation, so können auch in Abwesenheit eines Inhibitors zufriedenstellende Ausbeuten erreicht
werden.
Die Reaktion wird vorzugsweise unter Ausschluß von Licht durchgeführt, insbesondere unter Ausschluß
von UV-Licht und Strahlungen kürzerer Wellenlänge, wie auch in Abwesenheit von freie Radikale enthaltenden
oder solche erzeugenden Verbindungen.
Die Reaktionsdauer hängt von den Reaktionsbedingungen und den Ausgangssubstanzen ab. Wie
aus den folgenden Beispielen hervorgeht, kann sie von einigen Stunden bis zu einigen Wochen variieren.
Die Abtrennung der 1,1,1-Trichlor- bzw. -bromphospholine
aus dem Reaktionsgemisch geschieht beispielsweise durch Trennung des ausgefallenen
kristallinen oder ölartigen Produkts und Auswaschen dieses Produkts mit Petroläther bei einer Temperatur
von weniger als 2O0C, wobei zur Vermeidung einer
Hydrolyse unter Feuchtigkeitsausschluß gearbeitet werden muß.
Aus den kernmagnetischen Resonanzwerten könnte geschlossen werden, daß in den erfindungsgemäß hergestellten
1,1,1-TnChIOr- bzw. -bromphospholinen die
olefinische Doppelbindung hauptsächlich in /^-Stellung liegt. Diese Doppelbindung besitzt jedoch eine
ausgesprochene Tendenz, in die α,/3-Stellung überzuwechseln,
was insbesondere während der Herstellung der Phospholinderivate zutrifft.
Die erfindungsgemäß hergestellten 1,1,1-Trichlor- bzw. -bromphospholine sind wertvolle Zwischenprodukte
für weitere chemische Synthesen und besitzen ebenfalls eine Bedeutung als Bioeide sowie als
Zusatzstoffe für Erdöl- und Polymerzubereitungen.
In einem Autoklav aus Glas wurde aus 2,1 Mol PCl3, 2,15 Mol Butadien und 1 g Kupfer(I)-chlorid
unter Kühlen ein Reaktionsgemisch hergestellt, das während 60 Tagen bei Zimmertemperatur stehengelassen
wurde. In der ursprünglich farblosen Lösung bildete sich ein dicker, brauner kristalliner Niederschlag
aus. Nach Öffnen des Autoklavs wurde trockener Petroläther zugesetzt und das gebildete Produkt
viermal damit gewaschen und anschließend im Vakuum bei 2O0C getrocknet. Die Ausbeute an 1,1,1-Trichlorphospholin
betrug 294 g oder 75% der Theorie. Zur Bestimmung der Reinheit und zur Bestätigung der
Struktur der erhaltenen Verbindung wurde eine Probe des nicht umkristallisierten Produkts durch Lösen in
Wasser hydrolysiert, wobei die am Phosphoratom befindlichen Chloratome unter Bildung von 3 Äquivalenten
Salzsäure abgespalten werden. Die Titration der Salzsäure mit 0,1 n-NaOH in Gegenwart von
Methylorange als Indikator ergab 94% der Theorie an Wasserstoffionen der Salzsäure. Durch Titration
mit 0,0In-AgNO3 wurden 98,95% der Theorie an
Chlorionen gefunden.

Claims (4)
1. Verfahren zur Herstellung von 1,1,1 -Trichlor- bzw. -bromphospholinen, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß man Butadien, das gegebenenfalls durch Methyl-, Phenyl-, Methoxy-,
Acetoxy-, Carbäthoxyreste oder Chloratome substituiert ist oder die in 1- und 2-Stellung und
die in 3- und 4-Stellung befindlichen Kohlenstoffatome miteinander durch Tetramethylenbrücken
verbunden sein können, mit Phosphortrichlorid oder Phosphortribromid, gegebenenfalls in Anwesenheit
eines Polymerisationsinhibitors, bei einer Temperatur nicht mehr als 400C umsetzt.
2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man das Dien mit dem Phosphortrihalogenid
im molaren Verhältnis von 1:3 bis 3:1 umsetzt.
3. Verfahren nach den Ansprüchen 1 und 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man die Umsetzung
mit Butadien oder Isopren durchführt.
4. Verfahren nach den Ansprüchen 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man die Umsetzung
mit Kupfersalzen, Nitrobenzolen oder alkylsubstituierten
Phenolen als Polymerisationsinhibitor durchführt.
