Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Thiol- bzw. Thionothiolphosphor-(-phosphon-,
-phosphin-)-säureestern der allgemeinen Formel

Ri darüber hinaus auch einen gegebenenfalls halogen- und/oder alkylsubstituierten Aryl-,
bevorzugt Phenylrest und X ein Sauerstoff- oder Schwefelatom bedeuten, welches dadurch gekennzeichnet
ist, daß man /S-Chloräthylthiomethyläther
mit Chlorierungsmitteln, z. B. Sulfurylchlorid oder elementarem Chlor, behandelt und den entstandenen
/S-Chloräthylthiochlormethyläther (/S-Chloräthylmercaptomethylchlorid)
mit Salzen, bevorzugt den Alkali- oder Ammoniumsalzen, von Thiol- bzw. Thionothiolphosphor-C-phosphon-,
-phosphin-)-säuren der allgemeinen Formel

Die erfindungsgemäße Reaktion sei an Hand des nachfolgenden Formelschemas näher erläutert:

In letztgenannten Formeln haben Ri, R2 und X
die vorstehend angegebene Bedeutung, während Me für ein einwertiges Metalläquivalent, bevorzugt ein
Alkalimetallion oder die Ammoniumgruppe steht.
Die Chlorierung des /3-Chloräthylthiomethyläthers
geht bereits in der Kälte mit ausreichender Geschwindigkeit vor sich, so daß die erste Stufe des
erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens bevorzugt bei tiefen Temperaturen (—20 bis +100C) durchgeführt wird.
In dem als Zwischenprodukt anfallenden ß-Chloräthylthiochlormethyläther
ist das α-ständige Chloratom wesentlich reaktionsfähiger als das in /9-Stellung
befindliche. Daher reagiert die genannte Verbindung glatt und ohne Nebenreaktion bereits bei Zimmertemperatur
im Sinne der obigen Gleichung unter Austausch des a-Chloratoms gegen die Reste der
genannten Thiol- bzw. Thionothiolphosphor-(-phosphon-, -phosphin-)-säuren.
Bei der Durchführung des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens ist es nicht notwendig, die in der ersten
Stufe entstehenden Zwischenprodukte zu isolieren; vielmehr kann das durch Chlorierung des /3-Chloräthylthiomethyläthers
erhältliche Reaktionsgemisch sofort mit den entsprechenden thiol- bzw. thionothiolphosphor-(-phosphon-,
-phosphinsäuren Salzen umgesetzt werden.
Die verfahrensgemäße Reaktion wird bevorzugt in Gegenwart inerter organischer Lösungsmittel durchgeführt. Als solche haben sich besonders halogenierte aliphatische Kohlenwasserstoffe, wie Methy-

lenchlorid, Chloroform oder Tetrachlorkohlenstoff,
sowie niedrigsiedende Nitrile, ζ. B. Aceto- und Propionitril, bewährt.
Die gemäß der Erfindung herstellbaren Thiol- bzw. Thionothiolphosphor-(-phosphon-, -phosphin-)-
säureester stellen meist farblose bis schwachgelb- gefärbte wasserunlösliche Öle dar, die sich unter
stark vermindertem Druck ohne Zersetzung destillieren lassen.
Die Verfahrensprodukte zeichnen sich durch
hervorragende pestizide, insbesondere insektizide Eigenschaften aus und besitzen vor allem eine starke
systemische Wirksamkeit. Sie finden daher als Schädlingsbekämpfungsmittel, besonders im Pflanzenschutz,
Verwendung.
Die folgenden Beispiele vermitteln einen Überblick über das beanspruchte Verfahren:

56 g (0,5 Mol) ^-Chloräthylthiomethyläther (Kp.23
= 44°C) werden in 400 cm3 Methylenchlorid gelöst.
Zu dieser Lösung tropft man unter Rühren bei -100C im Verlaufe von einer halben Stunde 68 g
Sulfurylchlorid. Anschließend wird das Methylenchlorid im Vakuum entfernt und der Rückstand unter
Rühren zu einer Lösung von 112 g O,O-diäthylthionothiolphosphorsaurem Kalium in 300 cm3 Acetonitril getropft. Danach "rührt man das Reaktionsgemisch 2 Stunden bei 20 bis 300C und gießt es dann
in 11 Eiswasser. Das ausgeschiedene öl wird in
500 cm* Benzol aufgenommen, die Benzollösung abgetrennt, mit einer 3%igen Natriumbikarbonat
lösung entsäuert und schließlich über Natriumsulfat getrocknet Bei der folgenden fraktionierten Destil
lation erhält man nach Verdampfen des Lösungs mittels 117 g (entsprechend 79% der Theorie) des
O,O - Diäthylthionothiolphosphorsäure - S - (ß - chlor-
äthylrnercaptc-methyl)-esters in Form eines schwachgelben, wasserunlöslichen Öles vom Kp.0,01=1050C.
Die mittlere Toxizität der Verbindung beträgt an der Ratte per os 50 mg je Kilogramm Tier. Spinn-
milben werden von 0,004%igen Lösungen zu 80, Fliegen von 0,0008%igen Lösungen des Präparats
noch zu 60% abgetötet.

Man löst 56 g (0,5 Mol) ^-Chloräthylthiomethyl-
äther in 400 cm8 Methylenchlorid, tropft in diese Lösung bei — 100C unter Rühren 68 g Sulfuryl
chlorid, rührt die Mischung anschließend 1 Stunde bei —10°C, und zieht dann das Lösungsmittel im
- Vakuum ab. Der Rückstand wird unter Rühren zu einer Lösung von 105 g äthyl-O-äthylthionothiol-
phosphonsaurem Kalium in 300 cm3 Acetonitril getropft. Danach rührt man das Reaktionsgemisch
noch 1 Stunde bei 20 bis 3O0C und arbeitet es dann
wie im vorherigen Beispiel beschrieben auf. Es werden 97 g (entsprechend 70% der Theorie) des Äthylthionothiolphosphonsäure-O-äthyl-S-^-chloräthylmercapto-
methyl)-esters vom Kp.0,01 = 1020C erhalten.
(C2H5O)2P-S-CH2-S-CH2-CH2-Cl
Zu einer Lösung von 56 g (0,5 Mol) /J-Chloräthylthiomethyläther
in 400 cm3 Methylenchlorid werden unter Rühren bei -1O0C 68 g Sulfurylchlorid getropft.
Nach Beendigung der Zugabe rührt man die Mischung noch 1 Stunde und zieht dann das Lösungsmittel
im Vakuum ab. Der Rückstand wird unter Rühren bei Zimmertemperatur zu einer Lösung von
94 g 0,0-diäthylthiolphosphorsaurem Ammonium in 300 cm3 Acetonitril getropft. Anschließend rührt man
das Reaktionsgemisch noch* 1 Stunde bei 300C und
arbeitet es dann wie im Beispiel 1 beschrieben auf. Es werden 107 g (entsprechend 77% der Theorie)
des 0,0 - Diäthylthiolphosphorsäure - S - (ß - chloräthylmercapto-methyl)-esters
vom Kp.0,01 = 1080C erhalten.
Die mittlere Toxizität der Verbindung an der Ratte per os beträgt 10 mg je Kilogramm Tier.
Raupen werden von 0,01%igen Lösungen des Präparats vollständig vernichtet. Die systemische
Wirkung 0,l%iger Lösungen ist bei der Anwendung gegen Haferläuse 100%ig.
(CHs)2P-S-CH2-S-CH2-CH2-Cl
56 g (0,5MoI) /S-Chloräthylthiomethyläther werden
in 400 cm3 Methylenchlorid gelöst. Zu dieser Lösung fügt man bei — 100C unter Rühren 68 g
Sulfurylchlorid und rührt die Mischung anschließend noch 1Jz Stunde nach. Dann wird bei tiefer Temperatur
das Lösungsmittel abgedampft und der Rückstand unter weiterem Rühren bei 20 bis 300C zu
einer Lösung aus 82 g dimethylthionothiolphosphinsaurem Kalium in 300 cm3 Acetonitril getropft.
Schließlich rührt man das Reaktionsgemisch noch 1 Stunde und arbeitet es dann wie im Beispiel 1
beschrieben auf. Es werden 96 g (entsprech nd 82% der Theorie) des Dimethylthionothiolphosphinsäure-S-(jS-chloräthylmercapto-methyl)-esters
in Form eines farblosen, wasserunlöslichen Öles erhalten.

1. Verfahren zur Herstellung von Thiolphosphor-(-phosphon-, -phosphin-) bzw. Thionothiolphosphor-(-phosphon-,
-phosphin-)-säureestern, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man /S-Chloräthylthiomethyläther mit Chlorierungsmitteln behandelt und den entstandenen /?-Chloräthylthiochlormethyläther
mit Salzen von Thiol- bzw. Thionothiolphosphor - (- phosphon-, - phosphin-)-säuren
der allgemeinen Formel

umsetzt, in der Ri und R2 für niedermolekulare
Alkyl- oder Alkoxyreste stehen, Ri darüber hinaus auch einen gegebenenfalls halogen- und/oder
alkylsubstituierten Aryl-, bevorzugt Phenylrest

bedeutet und X ein Sauerstoff- oder Schwefelatom bei Temperaturen von —10 bis 00C und die zweite
darstellt. bei +20 bis +3O0C durchführt.
