Description
- Verfahren zum Hydrieren von Nitro-, Nitroso-r Isonitroso-, Cyan- und/oder aromatisch gebundene Aminogruppen enthaltenden Kohlenstoffverbindungen Es ist bekannt, daß sich Kohlenstoffverbindungen, die Nitro-, Nitroso-, Isonitroso-, Cyan- oder aromatisch gebundene Aminogruppen enthalten, mittels Wasserstoff bei erhöhter Temperatur und gegebenenfalls unter erhöhtem Druck in Gegenwart schwefelempfindlicher Schwermetalle, wie Kupfer, Eisen, Kobalt und Nickel, hydrieren lassen. Die Katalysatoren werden im allgemeinen durch Reduktion von Sauerstoffverbindungen der genannten Metalle gewonnen und gepreßt, in Pulverform oder auf Trägern niedergeschlagen angewandt. Die Wirksamkeit dieser Katalysatoren ist zwar recht gut, doch haben sie den Nachteil, daß ihre Aktivität rasch absinkt, so daß sie bald ersetzt oder regeneriert werden müssen.
- Es wurde nun gefunden, daß sich Nitro-, Nitroso-, Isonitroso-, Cyan- und/oder aromatisch gebundene Aminogruppen enthaltende Kohlenstoffverbindungen bei erhöhter Temperatur und gegebenenfalls unter erhöhtem Druck mittels Wasserstoff in Gegenwart eines Katalysators in vorteilhafter Weise hydrieren lassen, wenn man einen durch Sintern hergestellten, mindestens ein schwefelempfindliches Metall enthaltenden Katalysator verwendet.
- Es war überraschend, daß die nach dem Verfahren anzuwendenden Katalysatoren mindestens ebenso aktiv sind wie die obenerwähnten, obwohl sie infolge des Sintervorganges bedeutend oberflächenärmer sind. Ebenso überraschend war es, daß die Lebensdauer dieser Katalysatoren ein mehrfaches der Lebensdauer der bekannten Katalysatoren beträgt.
- Als Ausgangsstoffe seien beispielsweise Nitrobenzol, m-Dinitrobenzol, o- und p-Nitrotoluol, Dinitrotoluol, p,pl-Dinitrodiphenyl, p-Nitrochlorbenzol, m-Nitrobenzaldehyd, Nitrosobenzol, p-Nitrosodimethylanilin, Acetonoxim, Methyläthylketoxim, Cyclohexanonoxim, Cyclooctanonoxim, Methyl-phenylnitrosamin, Dimethylnitrosamin, Benzylcyanid, Benzonitril, Acetonitril, Aminoacetonitril, a-Amino-propionitril, Isobutyronitril, Adipinsäuredinitril, y-Cyanbuttersäure, Anilin, die Toluidine, m-Nitroanilin und die Naphthylamine erwähnt.
- Man führt das Verfahren bei Temperaturen zwischen etwa 40 und 250° C, vorzugsweise zwischen 70 und 1500 C, durch. Wenn man Verbindungen hydriert, die am Stickstoffatom ungesättigt sind, wendet man in der Regel niedrigere Temperaturen an, während es zur Hydrierung aromatischer Ringsysteme energischerer Bedingungen bedarf.
- Das Verfahren kann bei Atmosphärendruck ausgeführt werden, vorteilhaft wendet man jedoch erhöhte Drücke, z. B. 5 bis 500 at, an. Druck und Temperatur werden zweckmäßig so aufeinander abgestimmt, daß im Reaktionsraum flüssige Phase vorliegt.
- In der Regel benutzt man reinen oder technisch reinen Wasserstoff, jedoch ist es auch möglich, wasserstoff- reiche Gase, wie Koksofengas, Wassergas oder Stadtgas, zu verwenden.
- Die bevorzugten Katalysatoren enthalten Eisen, Silber, Mangan oder insbesondere Kupfer, Kobalt oder Nickel.
- In manchen Fällen ist es empfehlenswert, Katalysatoren, die mehrere der genannten Metalle enthalten, zu benutzen.
- Man kann die Katalysatoren beispielsweise durch Sintern der pulverförmigen Metalle, gegebenenfalls im Gemisch mit Trägerstoffen, wie Bimsstein, Tonerde, Kieselgur, künstlichen oder natürlichen Silikaten, Porzellan oder Quarz, bei Temperaturen, die vorteilhaft nur wenig unterhalb des Schmelzpunktes des betreffenden Metalls liegen, herstellen. Bei dieser Arbeitsweise wird Sauerstoff zweckmäßig ferngehalten oder der Katalysator vor Gebrauch noch einmal reduziert.
- Besonders günstige Ergebnisse erzielt man, wenn man von Sauerstoffverbindungen der genannten Metalle ausgeht. Man erhitzt die Oxyde der genannten Metalle oder andere Sauerstoffverbindungen, die spätestens bei der Sintertemperatur in die Oxyde übergehen, wie Hydroxyde Carbonate, Nitrate und Nitrite, zweckmäßig in Gegenwart von Luftsauerstoff, auf Temperaturen oberhalb 600" C, zweckmäßig oberhalb 800" C. Obwohl die Ausgangsstoffe für die Herstellung der Katalysatoren auch bis zum Schmelzpunkt erhitzt werden können, bevorzugt man im allgemeinen eine Temperatur, die unterhalb des Schmelzpunktes der betreffenden Metallverbindung liegt.
- Die obenerwähnten Trägerstoffe können auch bei dieser Herstellungsweise zugemischt werden. Ebenso ist in manchen Fällen der Zusatz von Promotoren, wie Alkali-oder Erdalkaliverbindungen, Titandioxyd oder Verbindungen der Metalle der 5. oder 6. Gruppe des Periodensystems, empfehlenswert.
- Die Dauer des Sinterns hängt von der gewählten Temperatur ab, sie beträgt im allgemeinen mindestens 1/2 Stunde, zweckmäßig 1 bis 5 Stunden. Die gesinterten Oxyde werden dann bei Temperaturen unterhalb 600" C, vorteilhaft zwischen etwa 350 und 400" C, so lange mit Wasserstoff behandelt, bis das Oxyd praktisch vollständig zum Metall reduziert ist. Wenn man die Wasserstoffbehandlung unter Druck durchführt, sind im allgemeinen nur geringere Temperaturen, z. B. 250 bis 3700 C, erforderlich. In manchen Fällen ist es von Vorteil, die Reduktion in dem Reaktionsgefäß vorzunehmen, in dem die Hydrierung der Kohlenstoffverbindung durchgeführt werden soll, damit der Katalysator nicht mehr mit Luftsauerstoff in Berührung kommt.
- Man führt das Verfahren zweckmäßig kontinuierlich durch. Da die Katalysatoren eine sehr gute mechanische Festigkeit besitzen, eignen sie sich besonders für die Verwendung beim Rieselverfahren, bei dem der Ausgangsstoff, gegebenenfalls im Gemisch mit einem Lösungsmittel, wie Wasser, Tetrahydrofuran, Ammoniak, Methanol, oder dem entstehenden Reaktionsprodukt, zusammen mit Wasserstoff von oben nach unten über den in einem Reaktionsrohr angeordneten Katalysator geführt wird. Die hohe mechanische Festigkeit der Katalysatoren gestattet jedoch auch solche Ausführungsformen des Verfahrens, bei denen im Reaktionsraum lebhafte Bewegung herrscht.
- Die in den Beispielen genannten Teile sind Gewichtsteile.
Claims (2)
- Beispiel 1 Durch Kalzinieren erhaltenes Kobaltoxydpulver wird mit Wasser befeuchtet und in einer Strangpresse zu Zylindern von 10 mm Durchmesser geformt. Man trocknet die Formlinge bei 1050 G und erhitzt sie unter Luftzutritt 3 Stunden auf 10500 C. 840Teile der gesinterten Formkörper werden in ein senkrechtes Druckrohr gefüllt. Man erhitzt auf 400" C und leitet so lange Wasserstoff durch das Hochdruckrohr, bis kein Wasser mehr entsteht, was etwa 48 Stunden in Anspruch nimmt.Man mischt 105 Teile 450/0ige wäßrige Aminoacetonitrillösung und 600 Teile flüssiges Ammoniak und leitet das Gemisch zusammen mit Wasserstoff unter einem Druck von 280 at bei 105° C von oben über den Katalysator.Aus dem Reaktionsprodukt erhält man durch Destillation stündlich 48 Teile Äthylendiamin, entsprechend 950in der Theorie. Der Katalysator besitzt nach 4000 Betriebsstunden noch die gleiche Aktivität.Beispiel 2 Zur Herstellung des Katalysators preßt man mit Wasser angeteigtes Nickeloxydpulver (hergestellt durch Erhitzen von Nickelhydroxyd) in einer Strangpresse zu Zylindern von 8 mm Durchmesser, trocknet sie bei 110° C und erhitzt sie 3 Stunden unter Luftzutritt auf 1050° C. 1080 Teile der gesinterten Formstücke werden in ein Hochdruckrohr gefüllt und durch Überleiten von Wasserstoff unter einem Druck von 20at bei 3000 C reduziert. Nach etwa 50 Stunden wird kein Wasser mehr gebildet.Über den Katalysator leitet man von oben bei 210° C stündlich ein Gemisch aus 31 Teilen Anilin und 25 Teilen des entstehenden Reaktionsproduktes zusammen mit Wasserstoff unter einem Druck von 70 at. Man erhält auf diese Weise 57 Teile eines Gemisches von Cyclohexylamin und Dicyclohexylamin, das weniger als 1 0/0 Anilin enthält.Beispiel 3 Durch Erhitzen von Nickelnitrat hergestelltes Nickeloxydpulver wird mit Wasser angefeuchtet und mittels einer Presse zu Pillen von 6 mm Durchmesser geformt.Diese werden bei 105° C getrocknet und darauf 2 Stunden lang unter Luftzutritt auf 12000 C erhitzt. Man füllt 1050 Teile der so erhaltenen Nickeloxydpillen in ein Hochdruckrohr und behandelt sie bei 3000 C unter einem Druck von 25 at so lange mit Wasserstoff, bis kein Wasser mehr entsteht.Über den auf 140° C erhitzten Katalysator leitet man stündlich von oben eine Lösung von 60 Teilen Dinitrotoluol in 600 Teilen Tetrahydrofuran und Wasserstoff unter einem Druck von 300 at. Man erhält stündlich 34 Teile, entsprechend 850in der Theorie, Toluylendiamin.Beispiel 4 Man mischt 80 Gewichtsteile Kobaltoxydpulver, das durch Kalzinieren von Kobaltcarbonat erhalten wurde, und 20 Teile feines Aluminiumoxydpulver, feuchtet das Gemisch mit etwas Wasser an und formt aus ihm in einer Strangpresse Zylinder von 6 mm Durchmesser, die bei 105° C getrocknet und anschließend 3 Stunden lang unter Zutritt von Luft bei 1050° C gesintert werden. 720 Teile der gesinterten Formkörper werden in ein senkrechtes Hochdruckrohr gefüllt und bei 3500 C durch Überleiten von Wasserstoff unter Normaldruck reduziert. Nach 48 Stunden ist die Reduktion beendet.Über den Katalysator leitet man von oben stündlich 70 Teile einer 400/0eigen wäßrigen Lösung von Dimethylnitrosamin zusammen mit Wasserstoff unter einem Druck von 280 at. Die Temperatur beträgt 90" C. Man erhält stündlich 15 Teile, entsprechend 6601o der Theorie, Dimethylhydrazin.PTENTANSPRCHE: 1. Verfahren zum Hydrieren von Nitro-, Nitroso-, Isonitroso-, Cyan- und/oder aromatisch gebundene Aminogruppen enthaltenden Kohlenstoffverbindungen bei erhöhter Temperatur und gegebenenfalls unter erhöhtem Druck mittels Wasserstoff in Gegenwart eines Katalysators, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man einen durch Sintern hergestellten, mindestens ein schwefelempfindliches Metall enthaltenden Katalysator verwendet.

Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man einen Katalysator verwendet, der durch Sintern eines Oxyds eines schwefelempfindlichen Metalls oder einer anderen Sauerstoffverbindung dieses Metalls, die spätestens unter den Bedingungen des Sinterns in das Oxyd übergeht, zweckmäßig in Gegenwart von Luftsauerstoff, und durch Behandeln des gesinterten Oxyds mit Wasserstoff bei erhöhter Temperatur hergestellt wurde.
