Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Frontsicht-Überwachungsvorrichtung, und es ist eine Aufgabe der Erfindung, ein sich näherndes Objekt, das in seitlichen Bereichen relativ zu einem Frontabschnitt eines Fahrzeugs vorhanden ist, zur Meldung der Information über das sich nähernde Objekt an einen Insassen mit hoher Genauigkeit zu detektieren. Die Frontsicht-Überwachungsvorrichtung weist auf: eine Bildaufnahmeeinheit, die zur Aufnahme eines Seitensichtbildes bezüglich des Fahrzeugs an einer Frontpartie des Fahrzeugs vorgesehen ist, eine Einheit zur Berechnung eines optischen Flußvektors zur Berechnung eines optischen Flußvektors auf der Grundlage des Bildes, eine Einheit zur Detektion eines sich nähernden Objekts zur Detektion des sich nähernden Objekts auf der Grundlage der optischen Flußvektoren, die durch die Einheit zur Berechnung eines optischen Flußvektors berechnet werden, wobei ein optischer Flußvektor eine Vektorkomponente längs einer Bewegungsrichtung des Fahrzeugs im Bild aufweist, und eine Meldeeinheit zur Anzeige des Bildes und ferner zur Meldung der Tatsache der Detektion des sich nähernden Objekts.
