Abstract
Eine elektromagnetische Kupplungseinheit mit einer solenoidbetätigten Kugelrampenbetätigungseinheit sorgt für einen reduzierten Energieverbrauch und eine verbesserte Steuerung. Die elektromagnetische Kupplungseinheit besitzt eine Primär- oder Pilotreibungskupplungspackung und eine Sekundär- oder Hauptreibungskupplungspackung. Eine ringförmige Solenoidspule wirkt mit einer ringförmigen Betätigungseinheit oder einem Plungerkolben zusammen. Wenn die Spule erregt wird, verschiebt der ringförmige Plungerkolben die Primär- oder Pilotreibungskupplungspackung und komprimiert dieselbe. Durch Aktivierung der Pilotkupplungspackung wird die Bewegung von einem der Elemente der Kugelrampenbetätigungseinheit verzögert, wodurch wiederum eine Sekundär- oder Hauptreibungskupplungspackung komprimiert wird, die zwischen den Eingangs- und Ausgangselementen angeordnet ist.
