Abstract

Se ha descubierto ahora que el color, brillo y apariencia de la superficie de laminados hechos con superficies de prensado recubiertas con diburos seleccionados del grupo que comprende diboruro de hafnio, diboruro de molibdeno, diboruro de tantalio, diboruro de tungsteno, diboruro de vanadio o diboruro de zirconio, o mezclas de los mismos son sustancialmente los mismos que el color y el brillo del laminado hecho con superficies prensadas antes de que se le aplique el revestimiento. Los diboruros preferidos para revestir superficies para prensado de laminados son diboruro de titanio o el diboruro de zirconio. Se cree que el diboruro de titanio se utiliza más comúnmente en el comercio para recubrir superficies que otros miembros de diboruros de este invento porque puede recubrirse por rociado con magnetrón a una tasa más alta de reposición.El recubrimiento de diboruro de este invento puede aplicarse a superficies para prensado de laminados para que obtengan un dureza Vickners de por lo menos 2000 y preferiblemente de por lo menos 2200, suficiente para prensar laminados con partículas de alúmina de 25-60 micrones o más grandes en la superficie de prensa del laminado sin ser rayadas. Un recubrimiento de aproximadamente 3 micrones tiene suficiente dureza para resistir los rayones de las partículas de alúmina sobre la superficie de prensado de laminado. La dureza de recubrimiento puede controlarse en un sistema de recubrimiento plano por rociado con magnetrón por la personas que tienen experiencia el uso de estos sistemas.Se ha descubierto que el recubrimiento con diboruro de este intento puede usarse para recubrir una superficie de prensado con suficiente adherencia para utilizarlo en el prensado de laminados de alta presión. Una fuerza mínima de adherencia de 1.6 y preferiblemente una fuerza de 1.8 (kgf) determinada por medio de la prueba de rayones de diamante. Los recubrimientos de diboruro de más de 6 micrones pueden tener menos resistencia a la adherencia debido a la fuerza producida durante el recubrimiento.En este invento la adherencia del revestimiento de diboruro a la superficie de prensado se aumenta limpiando muy bien la superficie de prensado antes de someter la superficie de prensado a un sistema de recubrimiento por rociado con magnetrón. La adherencia se aumenta más mediante grabado de la superficie de prensado con el sistema de recubrimiento de rociado con magnetrón aplicando el revestimiento de diboruro de titano.
