Abstract

En un aspecto, la presente invención se refiere a artículosabsorbentes que mantienen o aumentan las velocidades de adquisición de fluido cuando se someten a cargas sucesivas de fluido. Un método de prueba se describe para medir las velocidades de adquisición de fluido. En otro aspecto, la invención se refiere a un artículo absorbente útil para absorber fluidos corporales acuosos descargados que comprenden: A) una hoja superior permeable al fluido; B) una hoja posterior; y C) un núcleo absorbente colocado entre la hoja superior y la hoja posterior, el núcleo absorbente comprende: 1) por lo menos un componente superior de almacenamiento de fluidos capaz de expandirse en la dirección Z cuando entra en contacto con los fluidos corporales acuosos para formar una zona de adquisición, por lo menos un componente superior de almacenamiento de fluidos antes mencionado está en comunicación directa por fluido con la hoja superior: 2) una zona de adquisición de fluidos capaz de recibir fluidos corporales acuosos, la zona de adquisición de fluidos está rodeada por lo menos parcialmente por lo menos por un componente superior de almacenamiento de fluidos antes mencionado y colocado por lo menos parcialmente debajo de la región de descarga de fluidos del núcleo absorbente; 3) un componente de adquisición/distribución de fluidos capaz de adquirir y transportar fluidos corporales acuosos, por lo menos una porción de este componente de adquisición/distribución de fluidos está colocado por debajo y en comunicación por fluido con por lo menos un componente de almacenamiento de fluidos antes mencionado y por lo menos una porción del componente de adquisición/distribución de fluidos está colocado debajo, y en comunicación por fluido con la zona de adquisición de fluidos del núcleo absorbente; y 4) preferiblemente, por lo menos un componente inferior de almacenamiento de fluidos colocado debajo del componente de adquisición/distribución de fluidos y en comunicación por fluido con éste, por lo menos una porción de este componente inferior de almacenamiento está colocado debajo de la zona de adquisición de fluidos.
