Abstract

Se proporciona un método de mejora de los rendimientos de aceite de palma, comprendiendo dicho método: mezclar una composición de enzimas que comprende actividad celulasa con un fruto de palma o una parte del mismo o un líquido de fruto de palma, donde dicho fruto de palma o parte del mismo o líquido de fruto de palma, cuando se mezcla, comprende como mucho un 40% de contenido de agua p/p; incubar la mezcla durante 0.5 a 8 horas (preferiblemente 4-8 horas) a una temperatura entre 50ºC y 95ºC; y separar el aceite de los otros componentes de la mezcla. Las reivindicaciones también se refieren a una fase de aceite de palma, una fase de suspensión o una fase acuosa que puede obtenerse por el método. Las reivindicaciones también se refieren al uso de la fase acuosa como medio de fermentación, o a un método para producir un producto de fermentación, que comprende fermentar una materia prima que comprende dicha fase acuosa y recuperar dicho producto de fermentación, por ejemplo, biocombustible.
