Abstract
The present invention provides a sap preparation method that can be appropriately used for a medium that is suitable for microorganism culture using sap obtained from oil palm stems and petioles as a raw material. The sap preparation method of the present invention is characterized in that it includes one, or two or more step(s) selected from the group consisting of steps in which a fem1entation inhibiting substance of sap obtained from oil palm stems and petioles is deactivated, separated, and removed. The sap is used to promote good fem1entation by microorganisms, and production of a useful substance is possible with high efficiency. In the present invention, as the microorganism fermentation inhibiting substance, a phenolic substance or a substance including the phenolic substance is exemplified. FIG. 3
