Abstract

冷气体发生器
技术领域
本发明涉及一种如权利要求1前序部分所述的用于给气袋(安全气囊)充气的冷气体发生器。
背景技术
这种冷气体发生器用于使所存储的气体在功能状况下送入一个相连接的气袋,例如汽车中的安全气囊。
在气囊充气时产生的问题是高温效应,这种高温效应尤其是在以烟火爆发技术产生气体时出现,这除了威胁乘客以外也可能对气袋本身产生热损坏。
已知混合式气体发生器,它不仅具有烟火爆发技术上的动力火药而且具有气体储罐形式的冷气体源,烟火爆发技术动力火药的热气流烧穿一个封闭气体容器的密封部件。这种动力火药通常通过一个点火器(一种配有外罩的点火装置,它在其内部含有微量的烟火点火药,烟火点火药可以通过导入火药里面的点火针—从外部对点火针施加一个电压—点燃)点燃,这种具有约100mg烟火材料火药的点火器对气体发生器的效率不具有重大的影响。例如在EP 699 231 A1中公开了这种混合式气体发生器。
也已知许多冷气体发生器,它们不使用附加的动力火药,而仅仅使用一个点火器用以破坏密封部件。其优点是,由于不采用附加的动力火药而使气袋中气体的温度降低到气体压力容器中所使用的气体的热力学特性,从而气体基本是冷的。此外还避免产生有毒的、随着附加烟火火药的燃烧产生的剩余物质。例如在DE 100 38 673 A1中公开了这样一种冷气体发生器。其中,由点火器产生的热气流在一个小的密闭空间里直接导向密封部件,即一个膜片。通过在一个封闭的空间里点燃点火器而产生一种压力波或冲击波,它摧毁密封部件。为了加工这个其侧面由密封部件限定的小的密闭空间,由于与处于压力下的密封部件接触,对管形支承提出很高的要求,这本身带来不必要的费事的加工。此外,在流体动力学上复杂的环形泄流横截面(该横截面在密封部件损坏后产生)引起开孔特性可再现性方面的不确定性。另一缺点是,气体压力容器的充气以及检验只有在冷气体发生器完全组装之后才能够进行,因为:没有附加的支承,密封部件就不能处于气体压力容器的内压下。
发明内容
因此本发明的目的是,提供一种冷气体发生器,它具有在构造上简单的且特别可靠的开孔机构,同时对乘客提供高的安全性,并且保护性地、没有损坏危险地给气袋充气。
本发明的另一目的是提供一种冷气体发生器,它能够灵活地加工,在加工中可以在任意时刻对气体压力容器进行充气和检验,而无需事先完全组装好冷气体发生器。
按照本发明,上述目的通过权利要求1特征部分的特征得以实现。
由此,在加工冷气体发生器时没有其它部件作用于承载的膜片,这就提高了产品安全性。
通过在中心摧毁膜片,得到一个可以可靠地再现的泄流横截面。所述膜片也无需支承地处于密封并且不存在损伤并由此损坏的危险,因此,在加工冷气体发生器时,气体压力容器的充气和检验不必一定在最后才进行。
在排流口与喷嘴室出口之间的确定的距离起到在各种情况下可靠摧毁膜片的作用。

具体实施方式
图1,2,3,4示出一种具有按照本发明的开孔机构的冷气体发生器,其中,在图1和2中,所释放的气体能够在轴向上排出,而在图3和4中,这一点在径向上实现。在气体储罐的排流口1的上部设置所述开孔机构,它用于摧毁膜片2并主要由一个点火器固定体3、一个点火器4和一个喷嘴室5组成。
对于点火器4,涉及的是一个早已公知的点火装置,其主要构造是在一个外壳8里面具有微量的点火药10。从点火器4外部将可电接通的点火针9引入点火药10,该点火针在施加一个电压后将点火药10引燃(参见图5)。
如果要使气袋尤其是安全气囊充气,如同已经提到的,首先使点火器4通过施加电点火脉冲引燃。所释放的能量被集束在喷嘴室5中并作为热气流集中地导向膜片2的最高点6,所述膜片封闭着气体储罐7的排流口1。在膜片2由于充气受到压力负荷的过程中,在这个点6上产生最高的应力,由此在那里给出其最薄的位置。因为膜片2的材料在高温作用下迅速失去强度,通过集束的热气流的局部加热使得处于负荷下的膜片2在迎流点6区域被弱化并由此被摧毁。在气体储罐7中逸出的、强烈压缩的气体的动能起到使排流口1完全敞开的作用。
此时,不希望密封部件由于压力波或冲击波—为此需要一个小的密闭的空间—而被摧毁。所述热气流通过喷嘴室集束地聚焦到密封部件是完全足够的。这样,所述密封部件可以完全自由地放置。不需要一个附加的支承。密封部件的摧毁通过热削弱实现。气体压力容器的内压就使得热削弱了的密封部件摧毁。
为了进一步提高释放可靠性并由此减少失效可能性,规定:使膜片2最上点与喷嘴室5的出口13之间的距离小于或等于排流口1的直径即受压力负荷膜片2横截面。从而,通过使用一个常见的点火器也保证完全摧毁膜片,所述点火器仅能产生一微量的热气流。

Claims (4)

1.冷气体发生器,用于借助由一个气体压力容器(7)排出的气体给气袋充气,其中,所述气体压力容器(7)配有一个排流口(1),该排流口通过一个可摧毁的、相对于所存储的气体在相反方向上拱起的膜片(2)封闭,其中膜片(2)的摧毁通过一个朝向膜片(2)的热气流实现,该热气流仅仅通过一个由施加一电脉冲激活的点火器(4)的点火而产生,其特征在于,在所述气体压力容器(7)的充满状态,膜片(2)背离这个压力容器的那个表面(6a)完全地和敞露地指向一个通过至少一个出口(11)与气袋相连的空间(12),通过该空间引导经一个喷嘴室(5)聚焦到膜片(2)上的热气流。
2.如权利要求1所述的冷气体发生器,其特征在于,所述点火器(4)包括由一个外壳(8)包围的动力火药(10),所述动力火药可以通过一个导入该动力火药中的点火针(9)引燃。
3.如权利要求1或2所述的冷气体发生器,其特征在于,所述膜片由一种抗拉强度大于850N/mm2的材料制成。
4.如权利要求1至3中任一项所述的冷气体发生器,其特征在于,所述膜片(2)的最上点(6)与喷嘴室(5)的出口(13)之间的距离小于或等于排流口(1)的直径。
