本发明涉及一种用于粉末冶金学的润滑剂组合物和该润滑剂组合物的制备方法和用途。具体地说,本发明是关于一种包括至少两种润滑剂的的润滑剂组合物。
粉状金属如粉状铁,被用来制备小的、精确复杂部件如齿轮。采用粉状金属工艺的这类金属部件的制造,包含下述步骤:
使所述粉状金属与润滑剂和其它添加剂混合得到一种混合物,
将所得到的混合物倒入到一个模具中,进行压紧以形成部件,通常是采用200-1000MPa的高压,
从所述模具中顶出部件,
对所述部件进行高温处理以分解和除去所述润滑剂,并使所述部件中的所有金属颗粒烧结在一起,
和对所述部件进行冷却,之后,就可以进行使用。
润滑剂加入到金属粉末中有多个原因。一个原因是它们在压紧过程中通过润滑所述粉末的内部,而有利于用于烧结的压紧物的制备。通过选择合适的润滑剂,可以获得经常需要的较高密度。而且,所述润滑剂可提供必需的润滑作用,它对于从模具中顶出所述压紧部件是必需的。不充分的润滑使得在顶出过程中将会由于过分的摩擦而在所述模具表面发生磨损和碰擦,从而导致过早的模具不合格。不充分润滑所带来的问题,可采用两种方法来解决:一种方法是提高所述润滑剂的用量,另一种方法是选择更有效的润滑剂。不过,采用提高润滑剂用量的方法,会遇到人们所不希望的副作用,因为通过更好的“内部润滑”得到的密度增加,会被润滑剂体积的增加所削弱。因此,更好的选择应是选择更为有效的润滑剂。但是,已经发现这种方法存在一个困难的问题,由于有效的润滑剂对所述混合物的粉末性能有产生负作用的趋向。

所述第一润滑剂的主要目的是赋予粉末良好的润滑性能,它将给出较高密度和低的顶出力,而所述第二润滑剂的主要目的是提供一种具有良好粉末性能的金属粉末混合物,如高流动速率和模具的均匀填充,它同样也给出高的生产率和在压紧部件中有均匀的密度分布。
第一润滑剂的实例为脂肪酸双酰胺如亚乙基-双-棕榈酸酰胺(palmitinamide)、亚乙基-双-硬脂酰胺、亚乙基-双-花生酸酰胺(arachinamide)、亚乙基-双-山萮酸酰胺、亚己基-双-棕榈酸酰胺、亚己基-双-硬脂酰胺、亚己基-双-花生酸酰胺、亚己基-双-山萮酸酰胺、亚乙基-双-12-羟基硬脂酰胺、二硬脂酰基己二酰二胺等和脂肪酸单酰胺如棕榈酸酰胺、硬脂酰胺、花生酸酰胺、山萮酸酰胺、油酸酰胺。另外,所述第一润滑剂可包括由两种或多种润滑剂组成的固体混合物。
所述第二润滑剂可选自金属皂如硬脂酸锌、硬脂酸锂。
优选地,所述润滑剂颗粒是尽可能地接近球形,因为球形会导致最大的流动速率和表观密度。
更优选地,所述第一润滑剂具有的平均颗粒尺寸大于第二润滑剂的颗粒尺寸。特别优选地,所述第一润滑剂的平均颗粒尺寸是第二润滑剂颗粒尺寸的2-3倍,最优选地,所述第一润滑剂的平均颗粒尺寸至少为15μm,而所述第二润滑剂的平均颗粒尺寸至多为6μm。此外,还发现所述第一润滑剂的数量优选应该在总润滑剂组合物重量的60-90%之间。
为粘结润滑剂颗粒提供条件的第一种方法包括在一定温度下和足以在第一润滑剂和第二润滑剂的颗粒间形成物理粘合的时间间隔内对第一润滑剂和/或第二润滑剂的颗粒进行加热。
在与金属粉末进行混合时,所述润滑剂组合物加上任选的常规固体润滑剂的浓度,其合适范围为0.1-5重量%,优选为0.3-1%。
感兴趣的金属粉末优选为铁基粉末。铁基粉末的实例是合金化的铁基粉末,如预合金化的铁粉或具有扩散粘合到所述铁颗粒上的合金元素的铁粉。所述铁基粉末也可为基本纯的铁粉和合金元素(例如,它例如选自Ni,Cu,Cr,Mo,Mn,P,Si,V和W)的混合物。不同的合金元素的各种不同含量如下:Ni为0-10重量%,优选为1-6重量%;Cu为0-8重量%,优选为1-5重量%;Cr为0-25重量%,优选为0-12重量%;Mo为0-5重量%,优选为0-3重量%;P为0-1重量%,优选为0-0.6重量%;Si为0-5重量%,优选为0-2重量%;V为0-3重量%,优选为0-1重量%;W为0-10重量%,优选为0-4重量%。
所述铁基粉末可为原子化粉末或海绵体铁粉。
所述铁基粉末的颗粒尺寸根据烧结产品的最终用途进行选择。
因此,本发明的润滑剂组合物是一种具有第一润滑剂核的表面改性的润滑剂,其中所述核表面被第二润滑剂的颗粒所包覆。这种润滑剂组合物与相同润滑剂的机械混合物的对比表明,所述润滑剂组合物的性能是更为良好的。对于相同润滑剂的熔化和接着固化的混合物的情形也是如此。
下述的非限定性实施例将对本发明作详细说明。
实施例
铁粉组合物是通过采用由不同方法制备的润滑剂组合物制备得到的。所述润滑剂由以下常用配方组成:80%的熔点约145℃的亚乙基-双-硬脂酰胺(EBS,可自Clariant AG的Hoechst Wachs,Germany得到),和20%的熔点约130℃的硬脂酸锌(可自Megret,UK得到)。在所有的情形中,总润滑剂含量为0.8重量%。所述铁粉为ASC 100.29(可自Hgans AB,Sweden得到),且将0.5重量%的石墨与所述铁粉和润滑剂进行混合。
第一种润滑剂组合物是通过使所述两种成分单独微粉化至平均颗粒尺寸小于30μm且接着混合到所述铁粉混合物之中而制备得到的。
第二种润滑剂组合物是通过先一起熔化和固化所述润滑剂,接着进行微粉化并混合到所述铁粉混合物之中而制备得到的,如上所述。
第三种润滑剂是通过加热EBS颗粒到加入的硬脂酸锌颗粒发生部分熔化的温度,使硬脂酸锌颗粒粘结到EBS表面上而制备得到的。这样就可在所述颗粒之间得到一种稳定的机械粘合,较大的EBS颗粒基本上被较小的硬脂酸锌颗粒所包裹。而且,在这种情况中,所述颗粒尺寸低于约30μm。
在混合之后,对所述铁粉组合物的粉末性能进行表征,包括Hall流率、表观密度和填充指数。所述填充指数是在两个不同几何形状内腔中的填充密度(FD)的相对差值的量度;而所述内腔的长度和深度是相同的(各自分别为30mm和30mm),一个内腔的宽度为13mm,而另一个内腔的宽度为2mm。较宽内腔具有较大填充密度,所述填充指数定义如下:
填充指数(%)=(FDmax-FDmin)/FDmax
理论上,所述填充指数与将粉末挤压在具有与上述内腔相同几何形状的内腔中所得到的未处理密度(green density)的相对差值是大约相同的,即,具有不同的隙缝宽度的部分,例如,13mm和2mm。

从表1的结果可以清楚地看出,根据本发明采用硬脂酸锌对所述EBS润滑剂的改性,与物理混合单独组分得到粉末混合物或通过加入一起熔化和微粉化的润滑剂组合物的常规方法相比,具有更好的粉末性能。所述流动速率增大,表观密度提高。而且,具有更为均匀的填充,它预期比由含有EBS或其它粘结润滑剂作为主要成分的常规润滑剂所制成的混合物,在复杂的挤压部件中具有更为均匀的密度分布。
Claims (10)
1.一种用于制备润滑剂组合物的方法,包括如下步骤:
选择第一润滑剂粉末和第二润滑剂粉末,
混合该润滑剂粉末,和
使所述混合物经受可粘结所述第二润滑剂颗粒到第一润滑剂颗粒上以形成具有第一润滑剂核的聚集颗粒的润滑剂组合物的条件的处理,所述核的表面被第二润滑剂颗粒所包覆。
2.如权利要求1的方法,其特征在于所述用于润滑剂颗粒相互粘结的条件包括在一定温度下和足以在第一润滑剂和第二润滑剂的颗粒间形成物理粘合的时间间隔内对第一润滑剂和/或第二润滑剂的颗粒进行加热。
3.如权利要求1或2的方法,其特征在于所述第一润滑剂和第二润滑剂的颗粒基本为球形。
4.如权利要求1-3中任一项的方法,其中所述第一润滑剂具有的平均颗粒尺寸至少为15μm,而所述第二润滑剂的平均颗粒尺寸至多为6μm。
5.如权利要求1的方法,其中所述第一润滑剂占润滑剂组合物重量的约60-90%。
6.如权利要求1-5中任一项的方法,其特征在于所述第一润滑剂包括两种或多种润滑剂的固体混合物。
7.如权利要求1的方法,其特征在于所述第一润滑剂选自脂肪酸双酰胺和脂肪酸单酰胺,而所述第二润滑剂选自金属皂。
8.如权利要求7的方法,其特征在于所述第一润滑剂是亚乙基-双棕榈酸酰胺、亚乙基-双-硬脂酰胺、亚乙基-双-花生酸酰胺、亚乙基-双-山萮酸酰胺、亚己基-双-棕榈酸酰胺、亚己基-双-硬脂酰胺、亚己基-双-花生酸酰胺、亚己基-双-山萮酸酰胺、亚乙基-双-12-羟基硬脂酰胺、二硬脂酰基己二酰二胺、棕榈酸酰胺、硬脂酰胺、花生酸酰胺、山萮酸酰胺、油酸酰胺或其组合。
9.如权利要求7的方法,其特征在于所述第二润滑剂为硬脂酸锌或硬脂酸锂。
10.一种聚集润滑剂颗粒的润滑剂组合物,其中所述组合物具有第一润滑剂核,所述核表面被第二润滑剂颗粒所包覆。
