Abstract

EPG检索系统包括数据服务器、客户机和词典数据库。数据服务器储存EPG节目信息。客户机包括用于访问数据服务器的访问单元和用于输入进行节目信息检索的检索关键词的输入单元。词典数据库储存检索关键词和与检索关键词相关的关键词。客户机输入任意的关键词并且提取与输入关键词相关的关键词。被提取的关键词和被输入的关键词被用来进行节目信息检索。

Description

电子节目指南检索方法和 电子节目指南检索系统
本发明涉及用于从电子节目指南(EPG)(electronic-program-guide，电子节目指南)中检索节目信息的EPG检索方法和系统。更具体讲，本发明涉及一种EPG检索方法和EPG检索系统，其中，通过从数据库中提取与由客户机输入的检索关键词相关的关键词并利用被提取的关键词和输入的检索关键词，从EPG中检索节目信息。
按照惯例，当使用EPG检索节目信息时，由用户输入检索关键词，检索出与检索关键词完全对应的节目信息或者检索出与在意思上和检索关键词相似或相关的词相对应的节目信息。
这些检索关键词和与检索关键词相似或相关的词由EPG提供商(provider)简单或机械地确定。这样，也许使用用户输入的关键词不能检索出所需的节目信息。例如，用人名作为关键词进行检索就会有这样的问题，即，由于通常在检索时不考虑所使用的名字(仅有的姓(family name)、仅有的教名(givenname)或昵称等)是代表一个人、一个人所属的团体或其它等等，因而就不能进行正确的检索。
因此，本发明的一个目的是提供一种EPG检索方法和EPG检索系统，其中，通过使用与由用户输入的检索关键词相关的关键词选取储存在EPG数据库中的节目信息，来检索所需的节目信息。
为此，按照本发明的一个方面，通过提供电子节目指南检索方法可以达到上述目的，该方法包括如下步骤：当通过访问储存有电子节目指南数据的电子节目指南数据库进行基于输入的检索关键词的检索时，从词典数据库中提取与输入的检索关键词相关的相关关键词(relevant-keyword)，并且根据提取的相关关键词信息，从储存在电子节目指南数据库中的电子节目指南数据中提取必要的电子节目指南数据。
最好，词典数据库储存被用做检索关键词的词和与被用做检索关键词的词相关的相关关键词。
当检索关键词是一个人的名字时，相关关键词信息可能是这个人的昵称、这个人的全名、这个人的教名、与这个人相关的团体名以及这个人的其它众所周知的名字中的一个或是它们的组合。
当检索关键词是一个以书写日语时所使用的平假名字符和/或片假名字符写成的词时，相关关键词信息包括用书写日语时所使用的日语汉字(kanji)字符写成的或用与日语汉字字符相关的字符写成的词。
当可能的输入失误造成检索关键词对应一个储存在误用关键词数据库中的误用字符关键词时，只有相关关键词信息可以用来进行检索。
检索关键词和相关关键词信息可以是彼此有关的。
当将被用做关键词的词的一部分输入时，可以从储存有预先按预定顺序输入的关键词的检索关键词数据库中提取被用做检索关键词的词和相关关键词信息。
当检索关键词属于特殊类型时，相关关键词信息可能属于不同于该特殊类型的类型。
当特殊类型与烹饪有关时，不同的类型可能与厨师有关。
当特殊类型与地名有关时，不同的类型可能与邻近的城市名、国名和地区名中的一个或它们的组合有关。
按照本发明的另一方面，通过提供一个电子节目指南检索系统达到上述目的，该系统包括：一个包含储存有电子节目指南节目信息的电子节目指南数据库的数据服务器；一个包含用于访问电子节目指南数据库的访问装置和一个用于输入检索节目信息的检索关键词的输入装置的客户机；和一个用于储存检索关键词和与检索关键词相关的相关关键词的词典数据库。与由客户机输入的检索关键词相关的相关关键词信息从词典数据库中提取，根据提取的相关关键词信息和输入的检索关键词进行访问节目信息的检索。
最好，客户机方提供词典数据库。
服务器方可以提供词典数据库。
客户机可以下载和储存节目信息。
客户机可以通过路由服务器访问数据服务器的必要部分，路由服务器储存有到达数据服务器该部分的路由信息。
词典数据库可以储存由可能的输入失误造成的误用关键词，并且当输入关键词对应于误用关键词之一时，只有相关关键词信息可以被用来进行检索。
当检索关键词是一个以书写日语时所使用的平假名字符和/或片假名字符写成的词时，相关关键词信息包括用书写日语时所使用的日语汉字字符写成的词或以与日语汉字字符相关的字符写成的词。
词典数据库可以储存以前输入的关键词，因而在相关关键词信息中包含这个输入的关键词，并且被储存的关键词按照使用频率的顺序排列。
节目信息可以包括与电影信息有关的数据。
节目信息可以包括与戏剧信息有关的数据。
节目信息可以包括与地名有关的数据。
节目信息可以包括与碟片(dishes)名有关的数据。
按照本发明，通过提取与输入的检索关键词相关的相关关键词信息并利用被提取的相关关键词信息和输入的检索关键词进行检索，可以提高检索的速度，原因在于不检索不相关的电子节目指南数据。此外，检索是通过利用电子节目指南数据和输入的检索关键词进行的，能够有效地检索出所需的电子节目指南数据，由此可以进行有效的检索。此外，通过对电子节目指南数据增加如电影信息和戏剧信息等信息，能够提供具有高附加值的信息。词典数据库既可以由数据服务器方也可以由客户机方提供。因此，可以根据使用环境提供词典数据库。
图1示出了按照本发明第一实施例的EPG检索系统的结构；
图2示出了在图1所示的EPG检索系统检索一个人名的情况下，图1所示的词典数据库300A的例子；

下面参照附图对按照本发明实施例的EPG检索方法和系统进行描述。
参照图1，根据本发明的第一实施例的EPG检索系统包括一个储存EPG数据的数据服务器100A(用“EPG DB”表示)和一个家用服务器200A，家用服务器200A包含用于访问数据服务器100A的访问单元(没有示出)、用于输入进行EPG数据检索的检索关键词的输入单元(没有示出)以及储存有检索关键词和与检索关键词相关的关键词的词典数据库(用“DICTIONARY DB”表示)300A。
下面描述用以上EPG检索系统检索EPG数据的情况。
如图2所示，从链接到家用服务器200A(见图1)的终端(没有示出)输入用于检索所需EPG数据的检索关键词210。通过作为输入单元的搜索引擎220，将输入的检索关键词210传输到词典数据库300A。当接收到检索关键词210时，词典数据库300A提取与检索关键词210相关的关键词。例如，当输入的检索关键词210是人名时，词典数据库300A查阅人物词典，并且提取人名310的读物321、昵称/非正式名322如广为人知的名字、别名323和这个人所属的团体324等，作为与对应于检索关键词210的人名310相关的关键词320。全名及其它等等很可能被用误用的日文汉字字符输入。因此，在词典数据库300A中预先储存被频繁错误输入的字符及其它等等作为可能误用字符311，可以在用正确的名字作为人名310取代了错误的全名之后提取相关关键词。
用被提取的相关关键词320和输入的检索关键词210从数据服务器100A(见图1)中的EPG数据中检索所需的节目信息110。除了相关关键词320之外，通过储存以前使用过的检索关键词并且按照使用频率的顺序排列储存的关键词，可以提高检索速度。
下面参照附图3描述一个具体例子。
首先，将“K-mu-T-ku”作为检索关键词210输入。根据这个检索关键词，作为相关关键词320，词典数据库300A提取：作为正确的人名310的“K-mura-T-ya”，它与作为昵称/非正式名322的“K-mu-T-ku”有关；作为对应于读物321(见图2)的读物的“Kemuratekuya”；以及作为这个人所属团体324的“SPAM”等等。如果输入的检索关键词210是一个对应于误用字符311的词(见图2)，将检索关键词210改正并提取相关关键词320。
利用被提取的相关关键词320和检索关键词210进行数据服务器100A中的EPG数据检索，与作为人名310的“K-mura-T-ya”和作为团体324的“SPAM”相关的节目信息110被作为相关关键词320提取。如果输入的检索关键词210是一个包含误用字符的词，则不使用检索关键词210而单独用相关关键词320进行检索。
上述的各个名是如此的相互关联，以至当作为团体324的“SPAM”被用做检索关键词210时，作为人名310的“K-mura-T-ya”、作为读物321的“Kemuratekuya”和作为昵称/非正式名322的“K-mu-T-ku”被作为相关关键词320提取。此外，如图4所示，在用与国名相关的检索关键词330进行检索的情况下，可以将相关的地区名和人名作为相关关键词340储存，并且可以另外储存与一个地区的碟片专辑名有关的类型。很明显，相关关键词340之间是彼此有关的。
参照图5，对应本发明第二实施例的EPG检索系统包括一个储存EPG数据的数据服务器100B(用“EPG DB”表示)和一个家用服务器200B，家用服务器200B包含用于访问数据服务器100B的访问单元、用于输入进行EPG数据检索的检索关键词的输入单元、一个储存有检索关键词和与检索关键词相关的关键词的词典数据库300B以及一个用于从数据服务器100B下载和存储EPG数据的EPG数据库(用“EPG DB”表示)100B′。
当按照第二实施例的EPG检索系统进行EPG数据检索时，通过从数据服务器100B下载EPG数据并将下载的数据储存在家用服务器200B的数据库100B′中，从EPG数据中检索到所需的节目信息。通过从数据服务器100B下载EPG数据，可以按照需要更新EPG数据库100B′中的数据，并且能够进行高速检索，不用每次都访问数据服务器100B。
参照图6，对应本发明第三实施例的EPG检索系统包括数据服务器100C、家用服务器200C和硬盘驱动器(HDD)记录器400或个人计算机(PC)500，其中，数据服务器100C储存EPG数据并且包含储存有检索关键词和与检索关键词相关的词的词典数据库300C；家用服务器200C包含用于访问数据服务器100C的访问单元和用于输入进行EPG数据检索的检索关键词的输入单元；硬盘驱动器(HDD)记录器400或个人计算机500包含用于访问数据服务器100C的访问单元和用于输入进行EPG数据检索的检索关键词的输入单元。
当按照第三实施例的EPG检索系统进行EPG数据检索时，从家用服务器200C、HDD记录器400或PC 500输入的检索关键词被发送到数据服务器100C，利用从数据服务器100C中的词典数据库300C中提取的相关关键词进行EPG数据检索并且由家用服务器200C、HDD记录器400或PC 500接收检索的结果。如上所述，通过在数据服务器100C方提供词典数据库300C，词典数据库300C可以被公共使用。因此，对于设备的数据存储容量较小的客户机如家用服务器200C、HDD记录器400或PC 500，其存储容量不会被词典数据库300C所占据，因此，如果要更新词典数据库300C的内容，不需要进行不同数据的维护。
参照图7，对应本发明第四实施例的EPG检索系统包括一个数据服务器100D和一个家用服务器200D，其中，数据服务器100D包含用于储存EPG数据的EPG数据库101、用于储存电影信息的电影信息数据库102以及用于储存戏剧信息的戏剧信息数据库103；家用服务器200D包含用于输入进行EPG数据检索的检索关键词的输入单元(没有示出)、储存有检索关键词和与检索关键词相关的词的词典数据库300D以及具有到达数据库101至103的路径信息和用于访问数据库101至103的访问单元的路由服务器600。
在按照第四实施例的EPG检索系统进行检索的情况下，当输入检索关键词时，词典数据库300D提取并向路由服务器600发送相关关键词，路由服务器600通过选择到达数据库的路由访问数据服务器100D的数据库101至103中具有所需数据的数据库，并且从该数据库得到所需数据。可以在不同地点分布式布置的不同数据服务器中提供EPG数据库101、电影信息数据库102和戏剧信息数据库103。
参照图8，在按照第四实施例的EPG检索系统中，当输入检索关键词时，从EPG数据库101、电影信息数据库102和戏剧信息数据库103当中预先指定一个特定的数据库。相关关键词由词典数据库300D提取并被发送到路由服务器600。通过选择到达指定数据库的路由，路由服务器600访问指定数据库，由此得到所需的数据。
图9示出了按照第四实施例的EPG检索系统的情况，在家用服务器200D之外提供具有到达数据库101至103的路径信息和用于访问数据库101至103的访问单元的路由服务器600。当输入检索关键词时，由词典数据库300D提取的相关关键词被发送到路由服务器600，路由服务器600通过选择到达数据服务器的路由访问数据服务器100D的数据库101至103中具有所需数据的数据库，由此得到所需的数据。利用这种结构，家用服务器200D本身不必具有路由信息，因而可以节省存储容量并免除维护之不便。

Claims (22)

1.一种电子节目指南检索方法，包括如下步骤：
当通过访问储存有电子节目指南数据的电子节目指南数据库进行基于输入的检索关键词的检索时，
从词典数据库中提取与所述输入的检索关键词相关的相关关键词信息；并且
根据被提取的相关关键词信息，从储存在所述电子节目指南数据库中的电子节目指南数据中提取必要的电子节目指南数据。
2.如权利要求1所述的电子节目指南检索方法，其中所述词典数据库储存有被用做检索关键词的词和与所述被用做检索关键词的词相关的相关关键词。
3.如权利要求1所述的电子节目指南检索方法，其中，当检索关键词是人名时，相关关键词信息是所述人的绰号、所述人的全名、所述人的教名、与所述人有关的团体名以及所述人的其它广为人知的名中的一个或它们的组合。
4.如权利要求1所述的电子节目指南检索方法，其中，当检索关键词是以书写日语时所使用的平假名字符和/或片假名字符写成的词时，检索关键词信息包括用书写日语时所使用的日语汉字字符写成的或用与所述日语汉字字符有关的字符写成的词。

18.如权利要求11所述的电子节目指南检索系统，其中，所述词典数据库储存以前输入的关键词，因而在相关关键词信息中包括输入的关键词，并且将被储存的关键词按照使用频率的顺序排列。
19.如权利要求11所述的电子节目指南检索系统，其中，节目信息包括与电影信息有关的数据。
20.如权利要求11所述的电子节目指南检索系统，其中，节目信息包括与戏剧信息有关的数据。
21.如权利要求11所述的电子节目指南检索系统，其中，节目信息包括与地名有关的数据。
22.如权利要求11所述的电子节目指南检索系统，其中，节目信息包括与碟片名有关的数据。
