背景技术
已经在热灌装应用中采用了塑料吹塑制成的容器、尤其是那些用PET吹塑成的容器,在热灌装中,容器被灌装加热到超过180°F(82℃)的温度的液体产品,并在灌装后立即封盖,并使其冷却到室温。在加热杀菌/蒸馏处理中也采用了塑料吹塑容器,在加热杀菌/蒸馏处理中,灌装和密封好的容器经受加热处理,然后冷却到室温。在这两种情况下,容器通常设有真空吸收板,以在密封容器的内容物加热和/或在密封容器内的内容物冷却时适应容器中的容积的变化。

发明内容
针对前面的叙述,本发明的一个主要目的是提供一种商业上令人满意的广口吹塑容器,它能被应用于包装流质、粘稠的及固体食品的热灌装以及加热杀菌或蒸馏中。
本发明的另一个目的是提供一种底部结构,它能在密封容器承受热处理时适应容器内部压力的上升,并能在冷却的过程中适应真空。
本发明的另一个目的是提供一种可热灌装和可加热杀菌的容器,它具有可适应内部压力和容积变化并防止不希望的倒置和其它变形的底部。
本发明还有一个目的是提供一种用于广口塑料容器的结构,这种容器可以一个在另一个顶部上地与类似的容器有效地叠置,并且可以借助于高速制造设备以保证质量和性能恒定的、经济的方式制造。
更具体地说,本发明提供一种用于吹塑塑料容器的多功能底部。该底部有不连续地凹入的外环形壁,所述外环形壁带有在其间形成一站立环的一外壁部和一内壁部。该底部还有一内环形壁,它从外环形壁的内壁部向内向上延伸,并具有一内周缘和一外周缘。内环形壁的外周缘有在站立环上方的一高度处向外延伸的多个径向辐部,并且内环形壁的内周缘连接至一防倒置的、向上凸出的拱顶。功能上,内环形壁能响应在灌装和密封好的容器中压力的变化而向上和向下弯曲,且不会发生不想要的永久变形。此外,较佳地是,一肩部在外环形壁的内壁部上且在站立环的一水平面的上方径向向内延伸,以方便具有类似底部的容器的竖向叠置。

具体实施方式
本发明提供一种尤为适合于用作一包装食品的广口瓶的容器10。例如,容器10可以用来包装诸如苹果酱、空心粉的调味汁、开胃的调味品、泡菜、婴幼儿食品以及类似的流质或半流质食品。它也可以用来包装悬浮在盐水中的诸如腌制品之类的固体食品。因此,容器10可以用来包装各种食品,并且可以经受各种灌装和处理操作,如下文所述。
如图1所示,在本发明的一个较佳实施例中,一容器10设置成具有一底部12、一大致呈圆筒形的侧壁14以及一广口带螺纹的结束部分16,该结束部分经由一肩部18从侧壁14的上端凸伸出。较佳地,如图所示,上和下标签挡部20和22定位成分别与肩部18和底部12邻接,并在侧壁14上大致围成一圆筒形的标签区域24。这样,一标签(未示出)可以附着在侧壁14上并完整地延伸一圈。此外,较佳地是,侧壁14具有一系列的周向凹槽26,这些凹槽26对侧壁14的圆筒形形状进行加强,并防止侧壁14发生嵌入、下凹和其它所不希望发生的变形。

结构上,底部12包括一不连续地凹入的外环形壁28,该环形壁28包括多个与底部12的外周缘32相邻的、间隔开的弧形支承部30。如图所示,在该较佳的实施例中采用了四个支承部30;但也可以采用三个、五个或更多个支承部30。每一支承部30有朝下标签挡部22向上延伸的一外壁部34和向上向内延伸入其余的底部结构的一内壁部36,如下文将述。在外和内壁部34和36接合处形成一站立面38,借此来形成容器10的一不连续的支承环。
一内环形壁40在不连续地凹入外环形壁28内延伸,并较佳地是相对水平面稍稍倾斜。较佳地,倾斜的内环形壁40在从其外周缘42向其内周缘44延伸时相对水平面向上和向内倾斜一角度“A”。例如,内环形壁40可以相对延伸穿过站立面38的一水平面“P”倾斜一在约5°至约6°的范围内的角度“A”。或者,内环形壁40可以大致形成为是平面的,并平行于一延伸穿过站立面38的水平面“P”。

防倒置的拱顶48、诸支承部30以及诸径向辐部46支承内环形壁40,并使其能仅在一想要的运动范围内弯曲,如虚线“B”和“C”所示。例如,内环形壁40由于容器内压力的增加而向下弯曲,但通过防倒置的拱顶48来防止其完全地倒置和失效,该防倒置的拱顶48随着内环形壁40一起运动,但不管容器内所经受的内部压力如何,它都大致保持一不变的形状。
本发明的底部12的另一特征是,各弧形支承部30的内壁部36有形成于其中的一弧形肩部或支承肩部56,所述弧形肩部或支承肩部在高度上与支承表面38和内环形壁40都间隔开,以便于类似的容器10竖向地叠置。例如,如图5所示,一上容器10a叠置在在一下容器10b上。上容器10a的底部12中的支承肩部56安置在下容器10b的盖子62的上表面60的外边缘58上,以使延伸穿过上容器10a的站立面38的水平面“Pa”在下容器10b的盖子62顶表面60下方一间隔开的距离处延伸。
以举例的方式,而非以限制的方式,根据本发明的容器10较佳地具有一约5.8英寸的高度“H”、一约4.2英寸的容器外径“D”,并具有约32液量盎司的容积。由站立面38所形成的不连续的站立环的直径约为3.6英寸,并且底部12的内环形壁40具有一直径约1.6英寸的内周缘44和一直径约2.2英寸的外周缘42。诸径向辐部46均匀地间隔开,并分隔各个支承部30,以使每个支承部30至少为约0.8弧度。此外,每一支承部30的弧形延伸程度比各径向辐部46的弧形稍大。
较佳地,容器10是用PET、PEN或其混合物制成的注模预制件吹塑成的,或者是用PP制成的吹塑挤出件。此外,容器10可以是包括一层隔气材料或一层碎屑材料的多层结构。较佳地,容器的结束部分16是带有螺纹的、吹塑制成的,并且对上述形成的适应特征是密封的。
上述容器10能使用在灌装温度高至205°F的热灌装操作中。它也可以用在加热杀菌的处理中,其中,在容器10内诸如腌制品之类的一冷的固体食品与120至140°F的中度加热的盐水结合。在容器10封盖之后,可以穿过一加热杀菌槽来对灌装好的容器进行处理,在该槽中温度接近约212°F,以使在密封容器中的固体产品加热到大致175°F并持续15分钟,然后灌装和密封好的容器冷却到室温。
尽管已经详细地描述了一较佳的容器和底部结构,但是不超出所附权利要求书中所定义的本发明原理和保护范围,还可以作出各种修改、替代和改变。

Claims (20)

1.一种用于吹塑塑料容器(10)的多功能底部(12),它包括:
一不连续地凹入的外环形壁(28),它有在其间形成一站立环的一外壁部(34)和一内壁部(36);
一内环形壁(40),它从所述外环形壁(28)的所述内壁部(36)向内向上延伸,所述内环形壁(40)具有一内周缘(44)和一外周缘(42),所述外周缘(42)有在所述站立环(38)上方的一高度处向外延伸的多个径向辐部(46);以及
一从所述内环形壁(40)的所述内周缘(44)向上凸出的防倒置拱顶(48);
从而,所述内环形壁(40)能响应在容器(10)中压力的变化而向上和向下弯曲,且不会发生不想要的、低至站立环水平面下方的永久变形。
2.如权利要求1所述的多功能底部(12),其特征在于,还包括:在所述外环形壁(28)的所述内壁部(36)上且在所述站立环(38)的一水平面的上方径向向内延伸的一肩部(56),以方便具有类似底部(12,12a)的容器(10,10a)的竖向叠置。
3.如权利要求1所述的多功能底部(12),其特征在于,处于如形成时的状态的所述内环形壁(40)以相对于延伸穿过所述站立环(38)的一水平面(P)成一在约5°至6°的范围内的角度(A)向上倾斜。
4.如权利要求1所述的多功能底部(12),其特征在于,所述防倒置的拱顶(48)有一圆锥形的下部(52)和一凸起的上部(54)。
5.如权利要求1所述的多功能底部(12),其特征在于,还包括从所述外环形壁(28)向上延伸的一薄壁体(14),且在所述薄壁体(14)的一上端(18)处有一吹塑的、广口、带螺纹的结束部分(16)。
6.如权利要求1所述的多功能底部(12),其特征在于,还包括将所述防倒置的拱顶(48)连接至所述内环形壁(40)的所述内周缘(44)的一环形铰接部(50)。
7.如权利要求1所述的多功能底部(12),其特征在于,所述底部(12)是用PET制成的。
8.如权利要求1所述的多功能底部(12),其特征在于,所述站立环(38)的直径约为3.6英寸,所述内环形壁(40)的所述内周缘(44)的直径约1.6英寸,以及所述内环形壁(40)的所述外周缘(42)的直径约2.2英寸。
9.如权利要求1所述的多功能底部(12),其特征在于,诸所述径向辐部(46)是均匀地间隔开的,并且将所述外环形壁(28)分隔成每一个至少约0.8弧度的诸段(30)。
10.一种容器(10),它包括:

所述底部(12)有一从所述内环形壁(40)的所述内周缘(44)向上凸出的防倒置拱顶(48);以及
所述底部(12)的所述内环形壁(40)能响应在容器(10)中压力的变化而向上和向下弯曲,且不会发生不想要的永久变形。
11.如权利要求10所述的容器(10),其特征在于,所述外环形壁(28)的内壁部(34)有形成在其中且在所述容器的站立面(38)的水平面上方的一支承肩部(56),以便于具有类似底部(12,12a)的容器(10a,10b)的竖向叠置。
12.如权利要求11所述的容器(10),其特征在于,还包括用于密封所述结束部分(16)的一盖子(62),所述盖子(62)有带一外边缘(58)的一顶面(60),且所述盖子(62)的所述外边缘(58)可与形成在具有一类似底部(12,12a)的容器(10a,10b)上的所述支承肩部接合,以便于竖向叠置。

19.如权利要求18所述的容器(10),其特征在于,所述底部(12)的所述不连续的外环形壁(28)形成四个相同的、等间隔开的弧形支承部分(30)。
