Description

将盘件粘在一起的方法及装置
本发明涉及一种将两个盘件粘在一起的方法,尤其涉及将如数字录像盘(DVDs)那样的数字录像、录音盘或计算机软盘用的基片粘在一起的方法。
在制作具有一个或多个资料层的如DVDs那样的资料贮存盘时,通常将两个0.6mm厚的聚炭酸酯基片盘粘在一起,资料层与将这些盘连接的粘接层邻接。
在一种合适的粘接方法中,将粘接剂用印刷方法,例如用网版印刷施加于基盘中的一个上,然后将这些盘粘接在一起。此方法不浪费粘接剂,而且使用十分快捷。但是在将盘放在一起时会有在盘间夹带空气的危险,而且这些会使印刷系统失效的危险能使网版印刷涂覆中断。
也有人建议一种采用双面粘接带将两个盘件粘接的方法,但这方法会引起夹带空气,因而使连接的强度及热稳定性不可靠。没有人能将这方法用于“SD9”型DVDs,在此数DVDs中两个盘件均有资料层,这资料会被激光束读取,这些激光束必须正确折射(defraction)穿过盘件间的连接层。
本发明的目的是提出一种粘接方法,它能防止在盘件间粘接层中出现空气。
为此,本发明的方法具有以下特征性步骤:
a)以此种方式将两个盘件彼此同轴地放在一起,从而使在盘件之间
留有一间隙;
b)以此种方式在间隙内部区域中施加液体粘度剂,从而使粘接剂会
基本上同时与两个盘件相对的侧面接触;以及
c)使盘件相互靠近,从而在盘件之间形成一个正确限定的、均匀的
粘接剂填充层。
现已发现,用具有良好毛细管填充能力的、容易流动的粘接剂同时或大体上同时润湿相对的间隙表面,是使所施加的粘接剂充满并均匀地分布于盘件内外边缘间的整个表面而不夹带空气的基本条件,这是因为盘件只是借助于重力及粘结剂的毛细管作用力的“吸合作用”被靠置在一起。用这种方法不需加力挤压盘件就可以获得不夹带空气的十分均匀、纯净的粘接剂层。
在施加粘接剂期间,盘件可保持在侧面相互平行的状态,或者它们可被保持在如此方式:在盘件之间的至少径向外部部分中构成一个径向往外扩大的间隙。
通过相对另一个以凸曲线方式弯曲两个或其中一个盘件,并最好通过在背离此间隙的盘件侧面上形成负压可以获得上述的扩张间隙。
最好用一个可在这些盘件旋转期间同时插入此间隙中的喷嘴以注射方式施加粘接剂,由此而使一粘性粘接剂的环状带涂置在盘件间的间隙中。
在施加粘接剂带后,使喷嘴缩回,并使两个盘件各自沿相反方向转动,每个盘件至少转半圈,最好转动约半圈至一圈,以便使粘接剂带沿周向的分布通过盘件在粘接剂中产生剪切作用将任何不均匀变得均匀。结果就形成一纯净、均匀的粘接剂环,这为下一个步骤中使粘接剂均匀分布于整个盘提供了基本条件。
本发明也涉及一种用于将上述盘件粘在一起的装置,它具有一下夹持器并用于承载一个盘件;一上夹持器并用于承载另一个盘件,它们使上、下盘件相互同轴并在两盘件间形成一间隙;以及一个将液体粘接施加于间隙内部区域的装置。
为了建立一个扩张的间隙以便利于粘接剂施加装置插入盘件之间,还设置一夹持器,其有一个面向盘件为基本凸弯曲的表面。此凸表面用于与盘件及密封件一起确定一个空间,此空间可被施加负压。作为一种替换,各夹持器可被设置得将盘件夹持在侧面相互平行的状态。
施加粘接剂的装置可具有一喷嘴,它被设置得使粘接剂流可从外部或从里边沿径向导入间隙,依此使粘接剂流基本上同时撞击盘件的相对表面。该喷嘴可以插入间隙并可从间隙中撤回,从而使它的开口可接近间隙内部的相面对的间隙表面。

图1示意性表示一种称为“SD9”型数字录像盘10那样的CD形式的数字资料贮存盘。此软盘10含有两个盘基片12,14,每个盘基片厚0.6mm,直径约120mm,它们均是由聚碳酸酯那样的透明塑料制作的。每个盘基片12,14各有一个资料层16、18,其分别位于含有深约0.1μm的长和短凹槽的侧表面上。在下盘基片12上的资料层16上涂有一层如Al,Au或SiN,此涂层可半反射激光,同时在上盘基片14上的资料层18被制成全反射的。两个盘基片12,14用薄的粘接剂层((Cirka)约14-70μm)连接在一起,而粘接剂层的折射系数应是与基片(聚炭酸酯)的反射系数互补的,以便避免当激光读取上资料层18时发生任何折射错误。在图1中表示出的光束26聚焦在下、半反射层16上。
对于如图1所示那样的具有双资料层的DVDs10来说,为了在资料层18上提供不受干扰的激光束聚焦,最重要的是粘接剂层24应是均匀的和完全不夹带空气的。但是,这个问题在单层DVD(“SDS”)中不是关键性的,在此类DVD中,上盘基片可以是一个空白资料盘,亦即是说,在此DVD中只有一个下全反射层可被读取。
图2示意性地表示本发明的用于将两个盘基片12,14粘接在一起的装置28。该装置28包括一个上基片夹持器32及一个下基片夹持器30。上、下夹持器匀可绕一中心轴34转动,它们可是基本上一样的,每一个均有各自的外、内密封环36、38,它们被制成有较厚的轮毂部分40及较薄的周边部分42,以便在夹持器30、32之间形成一沿径向向外扩大的空间44(见图3),从而使得可将盘基片12,14保持在凸弯曲状态,以便于如图2所示那样施加粘接剂。
为了牢固地将各自的盘基片12,14保持在凸弯曲状态,以便形成一用于导入粘接剂的中间沿径向向外扩大的间隙,每个夹持器30,32均有一个在其内、外密封环38、36间的表面部分,这些表面形成于两环之间并与盘件构成一个空间48,该空间48与一未示出的真空源连通。在将盘基片12、14放置于各自的夹持器30、32上并连接上未示出的真空源后,这些基片就能被弯曲成如图2所示的形状或类似的形状,这样就可能将粘接剂注入喷嘴50插入间隙46的外部最宽大部分中,以便将可流动的粘接剂之仔细计量过的量朝间隙的狭窄部分注入,从而使粘接剂基本上同时与盘基片相对的表面接触。通过在注射粘接剂的同时使两夹持器30,32回转一圈,就在基片间隙内产生一环状粘接剂带52。在施加了环状粘接剂带52之后,就将喷嘴50从间隙46中抽出。为了消除在环状粘接剂带上的粘接剂分布出现不均匀性,此两个夹持器也可以相对转动,从而使粘接剂带能受到剪切作用,因而在盘基片被放在一起前就使粘接剂变得更加均匀。相对转动可适当地使两个夹持器沿相反方向转动半圈至一整圈来实现。然后使在空间48中的真空消除,使盘基片12,14从各自的夹持器上松开而依靠弹性恢复到如图3所示的通常的平面状态。在这种状态下,由于盘基片靠在一起及粘接剂的毛细管作用力,使带52上的粘接剂均匀地分布在盘基片12,14之间的空间内。于是,在盘基片之间的可能存在的空气就被从中部的空间中沿径向向内和向外两个方向挤走,从而形成不夹带空气的均匀的薄粘接剂层。
图4表示本发明盘粘接装置的另一个简化实施例,它与上述装置不同之处仅在于下夹持架30'被制成平坦的,而且它没有使相关配合用的盘基片弯曲用的装置。因而只是上夹持器32'被设置得产生一粘接剂导入间隙46,为此,必须将相应配合的盘基片14弯曲得比图2,3所示实施例中更多些,以便允许粘接剂注入喷嘴50插入。
图5表示在图4所示实施例中施加粘接剂后的处于其平整状态的盘件12,14,这时粘接剂已涂覆并注入盘基片12,14之间的间隙中达到所要求的程度。
另一个本发明装置的可行实施例表示于图6中。其中,在加粘接剂时的盘件12、14通过上、下平面夹持器32″、30″大体上保持在侧面平行地分隔开的状态。粘接剂用一粘接剂注入喷嘴50'注入到盘件之间的间隙46中,喷嘴50'可以从内部沿径向插入间隙。在通过使上、下夹持器32″、30″在施加粘接剂期间转动一周施加上一圆环带52之后,喷嘴50'就被抽出,而且在为使粘接剂带均匀分布而相对转动夹持器以后,上盘件14就如图7所示那样从夹持器32″上松开,盘件12、14靠上盘件重力及粘接剂内的毛细管作用力作用而被靠在一起,随着粘接剂在盘件之间的间隙中涂敷及充注并竭力将两个盘件彼此朝对方拽拉,从而形成一均匀的不含带空气的粘接剂层。
在本发明的基本构思范围内,也可以想到通过一个或多个固定喷嘴将粘接剂注入间隙,而喷嘴无需插入间隙内。只要能将正确限定的粘接剂流朝间隙46之最好成锥形的部分中注入、并使粘接剂同时与盘基片的两相对表面接触就足够了。
当使用图6和7中所示那种粘接剂导入喷嘴时,也可能想到以这样的方式制造粘接装置,从而使盘件形成沿径向向内扩大的间隙。
在本发明基本构思范围内,也可以想到以这种方式制作基片夹持器,从而使得在施加粘接剂后,夹持器还可对盘件12,14施加一压力,以便使粘接剂加快充满间隙。

Claims (21)

1.一种将两个盘件(12,14),尤其是将用于如数字录像盘那样的数字录像盘、录音盘或计算机软盘的基片粘接在一起的方法,其特征在于有如下步骤:
a)以一种方式将两个盘件(12,14)彼此同轴地放在一起,从而使
盘件之间留有一间隙;
b)以一种方式在间隙(46)内部区域内施加流体粘接剂,从而使粘
接剂基本上同时与两个盘件(12,14)的相对侧表面接触;以及
c)使盘件(12,14)彼此相对地靠近,以便在两盘件间形成正确限
定的均匀充满的粘接剂。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,在施加粘接剂期间,盘件(12,14)彼此保持在相互平行的关系。
3.如权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,在施加粘接剂期间,盘件(12,14)相互间保持相对关系,从而使在两盘件(12,14)间的至少径向外部部分上形成一个沿径向往外扩大的间隙(46)。
4.如权利要求3所述的方法,其特征在于,盘件中的至少一个(14)在向盘件(12,14)间施加粘接剂期间,被相对另一个盘件(12)保持在凸弯曲的形状中。
5.如权利要求1-4之一所述的方法,其特征在于,粘接剂(52)是随着盘件(12,14)转动的同时被注入间隙(46)中的。
6.如权利要求3所述的方法,其特征在于,在施加粘接剂之前,至少将一个粘接剂喷嘴(50)插入间隙(46)中。
7.如权利要求6所述的方法,其特征在于,喷嘴(50)是沿径向从外面插入间隙(46)的。
8.如权利要求6所述的方法,其特征在于,喷嘴(50)是沿径向从里面插入间隙(46)的。
9.如权利要求3-7之一所述的方法,其特征在于,通过在盘件面向夹持器的侧面上产生负压,使盘件(12,14)或盘件之一弯曲地靠到各自成型的夹持器(30,32;30',32″)上。
10.如权利要求1-9之一所述的方法,其特征在于,将粘接剂以一个环绕着盘件的圆环状(52)施加。
11.如权利要求10所述的方法,其特征在于,使盘件(12,14)之每个至少沿相反方向转动半圈,最好转动一整圈。
12.如权利要求1-11之一所述的方法,其特征在于,在施加粘接剂后,盘件通过一个盘件(14)的重力及粘接剂的毛细管力作用被彼此相对地拉近。
13.用于将两个盘件,尤其是如数字录像盘那样的数字录音、录像或计算机软盘的基片粘接在一起的装置,其特征在于,该装置具有一个承载一盘件(12)的下夹持器(30,30',30″),一个承载另一盘件(14)的上夹持器(32,32″,32'),并使盘件(14)与下盘件同轴安置,用以在盘件(12,14)之间形成一间隙(46);以及一个将液体粘接剂施加到间隙(46)内部区域的装置(50,50')。
14.如权利要求13所述的装置,其特征在于,至少一个夹持器(32')具有一个面对盘件(14)的、大体上被设置成凸弯曲的表面,此表面与盘件和密封件(35,38)一起构成一个可被施加负压的空间(48)。
15.如权利要求13所述的装置,其特征在于,两个夹持器(30″,32″)各有一个面向各自盘件(12,14)的大体平坦的表面,这平表面与盘件和密封件(36、38)一起确定一个可旋转负压的空间(48)。
16.如权利要求13-15之一所述的装置,其特征在于,用于施加粘接剂的装置包括一个喷嘴(50;50″)其被设置得将粘接剂流导入间隙(46)中,从而使粘接剂流大体上同时撞击盘件(12,14)的相对侧面。
17.如权利要求16所述的装置,其特征在于,喷嘴(50)可以沿径向从外面插入间隙(46)并可从间隙沿径向撤回。
18.如权利要求16所述的装置,其特征在于,喷嘴(50')可以沿径向从里面插入间隙(46)并可以从间隙中撤出。
19.如权利要求13-18之一所述的装置,其特征在于,夹持器(30,32;30',32';30″,32″)可以沿相同方向转动,以便环绕盘件(12,14)施加一粘接剂环状带(52)。
20.如权利要求19所述的装置,其特征在于,夹持器(30,32;30',32';30″,32″)可在施加环状粘接剂带(52)后沿彼此相反的方向转动。
21.如权利要求13-20之一所述的装置,其特征在于,下夹持器(30',30″)具有一个大体平坦的盘承载表面。
