Abstract

Description
本发明涉及一种将热敏电阻固定到待检测温度的滚筒上或其它具有弯曲表面的部件上的组件。
在常规的电子照相打印工艺中,着色剂被熔融到纸或其它接收最后象的介质上。在台式打印机中,通常的做法是通过将被着色介质压过与介质的着色侧接触的加热辊和软背侧辊的间隙。上述加热辊一般是带有粉末聚合物(flouropolymer)外层的铝感光鼓。加热、加压和在间隙中的停留时间的共同作用使上述热塑性着色剂软化后在纸的纤维间流动或聚结在透明体的表面上。一旦冷却,着色剂则固化并粘附在介质上。
这种定影的关键是维持对加热辊表面温度的控制。传统的温度检测器组件是一个热敏电阻和一个将热敏电阻主体紧紧地固定在金属表面上的泡沫材料件或橡胶件,上述金属表面粘贴在聚酰亚胺薄膜或带上。聚酰亚胺是与加热辊接触的材料。将此组件固定在一个具有中心压缩弹簧的悬臂支架上,通过上述弹簧的作用使由上述泡沫材料或橡胶件、热敏电阻、金属层和聚酰亚胺层组成的组件可移动到与加热辊接触的位置。
这种加载方法将在加热辊上引起相当高的法向力,这将加剧加热辊的粉末聚合物表面的磨损。由于与熔融辊为线或点接触,上述泡沫材料或橡胶件具有的硬度可形成高接触应力区。另外,在进行正常温度检测之前,必须将包括响应慢的泡沫或橡胶件的整个热敏电阻组件加热到工作温度。
授权于Headrick的美国专利4672177号公开了一种通过温度检测器的电引线固定在辊上的温度检测器。
根据本发明,将一条柔性材料制成的耐热带包绕在加热辊的扇形段上。至少带的一端保持在可控制的压力下。用一根从热敏体连到上述带上的金属丝固定热敏电阻的热敏体。金属丝的位于热敏电阻上的中段是弯曲的,从而可将压力加在与上述带贴紧的热敏体上。
最好在靠近上述带的一端处有一个孔,在转动件上有一个与孔啮合的钩。弹簧使转动件偏置,将带拉成与辊接触。
借此,带与辊上相当大的面积接触,所测得的温度与较小面积相比更能反应辊的温度。由于上述带与辊直接接触,而且该带是可迅速加热的薄固体,实际上组件可无延时地达到工作温度。这种带的法向力很小,与传统热敏电阻组件相比可减小表面磨损。
显然,还可以采用具有固态检测体的任何形式的温度检测器,例如可以采用热电偶。
下面结合附图详细说明本发明,图1为本发明的温度检测组件透视图,该图是从紧靠组件前面剖切的视图;图2是上述组件的侧视图。
参见图1,热辊1固定在靠近固定架3之处,架3是成象装置如激光打印机(未示出)的一个部件,辊1是激光打印机中的一个常规的固定辊,该辊跨过打印机的成象区。
聚酰亚胺片或带5的上端由一个穿过片5的配合孔的螺栓(未示出)或卡环或其它保持件不动地安装在架3上,片5的下端可弯曲地通过片5的孔7固定。
孔7容纳件9上的臂9a,件9以其轴9b为枢轴转动。轴9b由架伸出部分3a和3b保持并以枢轴式支承在这两部分中。绕在轴9上的螺旋弹簧13有一个柄舌13a和柄舌13b,柄舌13a由架3保持以防弹簧退绕,柄舌13b与件9啮合。
将弹簧13缠绕成顺时针方向将力施加在图中所示的部件9上。这样便可使臂9a对着孔7拉紧带5,使带5贴着辊1表面的弯曲扇形段包绕。
带5的相对两侧各有一个铜导轨15a、15b。如传统做法那样,通过直接接触,上述导轨通过金属引线17a和17b接收电功率。热敏电阻有一个固态热敏体19和两根金属丝21a和21b。金属丝21a通过焊点23a固定到导轨15a上,金属丝21b通过焊点23b固定到导轨15b上。(因为导轨15a,15b牢固地固定在带5上,因此,金属丝21a,21b也牢固地固定在带5上)。
薄金属方块25固定在中心位于热敏体19下方的带5上。金属块25的尺寸比热敏体19的尺寸大得多,因此可通过热敏体19有效地检测出与至少为金属块25下方区域大致重合的区域的整体温度。
当金属丝21a,21b由弹性金属制成时,可使金属丝21a和21b弯曲,从而将热敏体19固定在压力接触区25上。
操作仍和原来一样,由带5、金属方块25、热敏体19及金属丝21a和21b组成的组件基本不动。辊1转动并与带5接触,使其表面的不同区域处于热敏体19的下方。
由于带5和辊1之间的接触区既长又宽,可减小过大的压力。再者,由部件9施加在带5上的载荷几乎与作用在热辊1上的法间力垂直,因此法向力比沿带5施加的力小得多。结果使磨损大大减小,并使操作平稳。
显然,作出各种变型都是很容易的。
Claims (5)
1、一种用于检测具有伸展,弯曲表面的部件的表面温度的组件,包括:
一根柔性耐热带,该带的一端为第一端,带的相对端为第二端;
在上述第一端和第二端处将带固定,使带包绕在至少部分弯曲表面上并与该部分紧密接触,至少上述第一端和第二端中之一端在可控制的压力下固定;以及
一个包括固态热敏体和至少一根从热敏体伸出并具有一段弯曲部分的弹性金属丝的温度检测器;
上述至少一根弹性金属丝固定在带上,以便通过带的弯曲部分使热敏体与带接触,并朝带的方向对热敏体施加压力。
2、如权利要求1所述的组件,其中上述带由聚酰亚胺材料制成,在靠近带的第一端和第二端中的至少一端上有一个孔,还包括一个可转动件和一根弹簧,该部件有一伸进上述孔中的臂,上述弹簧使该转动件偏置以便将带拉紧成紧贴在上述部附的弯曲表面上。
3、如权利要求1所述的组件,其中至少上述一根弹性金属丝是电引线,以便为所述热敏体执行温度检测提供电连接。
4、如权利要求3所述的组件,其中所述的带由聚酰亚胺制成,在靠近带的第一端和第二端中的至少一端上有一个孔,还包括一个可转动件和一根弹簧,该部件有一个伸进上述孔中的臂,上述弹簧使转动件偏置,以便将带拉紧成紧贴在上述部件的弯曲表面上。
5、如权利要求4所述的组件,其中所述的带具有涂敷在带上的导电叠层,上述两根电引线分别焊在上述导电叠层的不同层上。
