3. Test sample and method of use
The test samples prepared by adding the compositions of examples 1 to 11 and comparative examples 1 to 5 to a conventional cream base for external use contain a plant essential oil composition having the effects of removing dark circles, moisturizing and repairing 5% by mass of the total mass of the cream. 160 subjects were divided into 16 groups of 10 persons, and the samples prepared in examples 1 to 11 and comparative examples 1 to 5 were used once in the morning and once in the evening, respectively.
4. Subject information
Selecting 160 suitable subjects, wherein 100 women and 60 men, all subjects in the group meet the following inclusion and exclusion criteria:

4.2.11. participation in other clinical trial investigators;
4.2.12. those with high constitutional sensitivity;
4.2.13. non-volunteer participants or those who cannot complete the prescribed content as required by the trial.

7. Test environment
The test has environment temperature of 20.0-22.0 deg.c and environment humidity of 40.0-60.0%. The subject could not use any cosmetics and skin care products on the day of testing and should be allowed to rest in the test environment for at least 30 minutes before testing.
8. Test flow
Eligible subjects were selected according to the 4.1 inclusion criteria and 4.2 exclusion criteria and signed an informed consent form. Before the test, the face is cleaned by clean water, then the face is rested in a test environment for at least 30 minutes, then VISIA shooting, the water content of the skin stratum corneum and the skin percutaneous water loss basic value are measured, the sample is continuously used for 28 days, and the sample returns to a laboratory for repeated index measurement after being used for 14 days and 28 days respectively.
9. Data analysis
And counting the measured values of each measuring area, wherein the measured values comprise quantity, mean value, standard deviation and the like.
The difference between the base value (D0) of each test area and the return visit values (D14 and D28) is calculated.
If the test data is normal distribution, performing statistical analysis by adopting a t test method; and if the test data is in abnormal distribution, performing statistical analysis by adopting a rank sum test method.
The statistical methods all adopt a two-tail test, and the test level a =0.05.
Data analysis was performed using SPSS26 statistical software. The basis values (D0) and the return visit values (D14 and D28) of the parameters are differentially analyzed using repeated measures analysis of variance or generalized estimation equations. Statistical significance differences were labeled with p <0.05, p <0.01, p <0.001 (p <0.05 indicates significant differences, p <0.01 indicates very significant differences, and p <0.001 indicates very significant differences).

As can be seen from the results of table 4: the black eye lightening effect of the embodiment 1-11 is obviously better than that of the comparative example 1-5, although the comparative example is effective, the effect of the comparative example is far less than that of the embodiment, the highest difference value of the comparative example can reach 6.88 and 7.66, the ITA DEG value of the comparative example is increased along with the increase of time, and the black eye lightening effect of the composition is obvious when the composition is kept for long time use. And statistical analysis was performed using SPSS to determine that there was a significant difference between the baseline value (D0) and each of the revisit values (D14 and D28) of examples 1-11, P <0.01. This demonstrates that the continuous use of the samples prepared in examples 1 to 11 has a significant effect on lightening dark circles.

As can be seen from the results of table 5: the improvement effect of the water content of the stratum corneum of examples 1 to 11 was significantly better than that of comparative examples 1 to 5, and statistical analysis using SPSS showed a very significant difference between the basal value (D0) and each return visit value (D14 and D28) of examples 1 to 11, P <0.001. This shows that the samples prepared in examples 1 to 11 were continuously used to significantly improve the water content of the stratum corneum of the skin and have moisturizing effect. As can be seen from the difference (D28-D0), the difference between examples 10 and 11 reaches 19.52 and 14.52, which is the example with the highest rate of change, and also indicates that the moisturizing effect is the best. Comparative examples (except comparative example 4) also had moisturizing effects, but the moisturizing effects were 2.29 at the highest rate of change compared to the examples, and were 8.5 times worse than the highest example, and the long-lasting moisturizing efficacy of the examples was also demonstrated.

As can be seen from the results of table 6: all examples had different degrees of skin barrier efficacy from all comparative examples (except comparative example 4), but examples 1 to 11 all had better improvement effects on the skin transdermal water loss value than comparative examples 1 to 5, and statistical analysis using SPSS showed a significant difference between the base value (D0) and each of the revisit values (D14 and D28) of examples 1 to 11, P <0.01. This indicates that the samples prepared by using examples 1-11 continuously have significant efficacy in repairing the skin barrier, and example 11 works best, changing from the initial 17.87 to the final 8.00, with a difference of 9.87, and a significant reduction in the TEWL value of the skin transepidermal water loss, and also indicates that the best repairing efficacy is achieved when the components of the composition work in combination.
