Abstract
The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising a mixed extract of edible flowers used as scented tea as an active ingredient, and according to the present invention, there is provided a cosmetic composition comprising a mixed extract of saffron crocus, tropaeolum majus, caragana sinica and hibiscus as an active ingredient. The cosmetic composition comprising the above mixed extract as an active ingredient exhibits excellent effects of improving skin wrinkles and skin elasticity, skin moisturizing effect, skin regenerating effect and skin irritation relieving effect.
Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition for skin improvement comprising a mixed extract of edible flowers, and more particularly, to a cosmetic composition comprising, as an active ingredient, a mixed extract of saffron, tropaeolum, caragana, and hibiscus in edible flowers used as scented tea, thereby having an excellent skin improvement effect.
Background
Common symptoms of skin aging are wrinkle formation, reduction in skin moisture, decrease in elasticity, and the like, and particularly, skin wrinkles are an aging form that becomes a standard in measuring the degree of aging. Skin aging can be roughly classified into two types, one is endogenous skin aging that occurs naturally with age, and the other is photoaging caused by external factors such as ultraviolet rays. Endogenous aging can produce fine lines, xerosis cutis, decreased elasticity, etc., while photoaging produces coarse and deep wrinkles compared to endogenous aging, and also produces pigmentary diseases due to ultraviolet rays. Also, compared to endogenous aging, elastic fibers are severely deformed and the amount of collagen is severely reduced, resulting in the skin becoming thinner and the elasticity further decreases. The photoaging phenomenon, a disease that can be prevented and treated, requires development of a new concept of therapeutic technology based on research on the mechanism of occurrence.
The present inventors have studied the activity of a mixed extract of edible flowers used as scented tea in the process of searching for natural products having skin improvement effect, and have confirmed that the mixed extract obtained by mixing saffron, tropaeolum, gorgon and hibiscus exhibits excellent skin improvement effect by its synergistic effect, thereby completing the present invention.

Disclosure of Invention
The present invention aims to provide a cosmetic composition having an excellent skin-improving effect, which contains, as an active ingredient, a mixed extract of saffron, tropaeolum, caragana, and hibiscus.
In order to achieve the above objects, the present invention provides a cosmetic composition comprising a mixed extract of saffron, tropaeolum, caragana sinica and hibiscus as an active ingredient. In this case, the above mixed extract is contained as an effective ingredient in an amount of 0.01 to 90 wt% based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition.
The mixed extract is prepared by mixing the following components in a ratio of 1-5: 1-5: 1-5: 1-5 weight ratio of saffron, tropaeolum, caragana sinica flower and hibiscus flower, and more preferably, the weight ratio of saffron, tropaeolum, caragana sinica flower and hibiscus flower is respectively 1-2: 1-2: 1-2: 1-2 by weight ratio and extracting.
The mixed extract is hot water extract or solvent extract of more than one solvent selected from water, ethanol, methanol, butanol, n-propanol, butanediol, glycerol, chloroform, ethyl acetate, dichloromethane, hexane, acetone, acetonitrile, petroleum ether and diethyl ether.
The cosmetic composition is characterized by being used for improving skin wrinkles, improving skin elasticity, moisturizing skin, regenerating skin or relieving skin irritation.
The mixed extract of saffron, tropaeolum, gorgon fruit and hibiscus has excellent effects of improving skin wrinkles, improving skin elasticity, moisturizing skin, regenerating skin and relieving skin irritation, so that the cosmetic composition containing the same as an active ingredient has excellent skin improvement effect.
Detailed Description
The present invention is described in more detail below.
The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising, as an active ingredient, a mixed extract of saffron, tropaeolum, caragana, and hibiscus used as a scented tea.
Saffron (Crocus sativus) belongs to the family of iridaceae and is, as is well known, the most expensive spice on earth. Saffron is rich in vitamins and minerals, and also contains antioxidant components, thus is helpful for relieving asthma, insomnia, arteriosclerosis, hypertension, and hypomnesis, and also has effects of protecting brain cells, improving inflammation, removing toxic substance and activating cell function.
Tropaeolum maju (Tropaeolum maju) is a sprawling annual herbaceous plant belonging to the family Ecliptae, in Greek meaning "trophon", originating from leaves like the shield and flowers like the helmet. The flowers, leaves, fruits and seeds of the tropaeolum contain a large amount of iron and vitamin C, so that the effects of purifying blood and detoxifying are achieved if the leaves, the flowers and the fruits are eaten.
The gorse (Sarothamnus scoparia) has beautiful flowers and peculiar leaf shapes, so that the gorse is planted in a courtyard or a park, and in the traditional Chinese medicine, the gorse and the roots and the leaves are used as medicinal materials and are mainly used for relieving fever, detoxifying, treating inflammation and the like.
Hibiscus flower (hibiscus) is a natural vitamin called the flower of the god, which, because it resembles a beautiful god, has the name "roselle flower" synthesized by "Hibis" and "Isco" in beautiful poetry. The flos Hibisci Mutabilis is rich in vitamin C, and can prevent skin aging and promote skin health. And is rich in anthocyanin as antioxidant component, and can make skin bright and beautiful.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the mixed extract of saffron, tropaeolum, gorgon fruit and hibiscus flower as the effective ingredient is prepared as follows.
Respectively mixing 1-5: 1-5: 1-5: 1-5 dry weight ratio of saffron, tropaeolum, broom cypress and hibiscus to prepare a mixture. The mixed extract is prepared by extracting the mixture with at least one solvent selected from the group consisting of water, lower ethanol having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, ethyl acetate, glycerin, ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, and butylene glycol, preferably a mixed solvent of water and ethanol having 1 to 4 carbon atoms.
The above mixed extract of edible flowers prepared in the above-described manner exhibited excellent wrinkle-related factor expression increasing effects (test example 1), elasticity-related factor expression increasing effects (test example 2), moisture retention-related factor expression increasing effects (test example 3), and skin cell regeneration effects (test example 4) by their synergistic effects, as compared to each extract. Also, the cosmetic composition comprising the same exhibited excellent skin irritation relieving effects (test example 5).
In this case, when the ratio of 1-2: 1-2: 1-2: 1-2 weight ratio of saffron, tropaeolum, gorgon fruit and hibiscus flower, and shows more excellent skin improvement activity effect when the mixture is extracted.
The cosmetic composition comprises 0.01-90 wt% of the mixed extract of saffron crocus, tropaeolum majus, gorgon fruit and hibiscus flower prepared in the manner as described above as an effective component relative to the total weight of the cosmetic composition.
The cosmetic composition containing the above-described mixed extract of edible flowers of the present invention may be prepared in any of the conventionally prepared dosage forms, and the list thereof may include lotions, creams, lotions, facial cleansers, makeup removers, masks, body lotions, body oils, body gels, shampoos, conditioners, hair rinses, hair sprays, foundations, lipsticks, mascaras, makeup patches, sunscreen products, soaps, and the like.
Examples
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail by the following examples and test examples, but the present invention is not limited thereto.
Example 1: preparation method of mixed extract of stigma croci Sativi, herba Ecliptae, flos Caraganae Sinicae and flos Hibisci Mutabilis
A sample prepared by mixing 3g of dry saffron, 3g of nasturtium, 3g of maidenhair flower and 3g of hibiscus flower (dry weight ratio: 1: 1: 1) was put in 1kg of 70% aqueous ethanol, extracted after boiling at 100 ℃ for 8 hours in an extractor equipped with a cooling freezer, and filtered with Filter paper (quality Filter paper NO.2) to obtain the extract in a filtrate state.
Examples 2 to 11: preparation method of mixed extract of stigma croci Sativi, herba Ecliptae, flos Caraganae Sinicae and flos Hibisci Mutabilis
As shown in table 1 below, a mixture having a total weight of 12g was prepared using different mixing weight ratios, and extracted and filtered in the same manner as in example 1 to prepare a mixed extract.

Comparative example 1: preparation of saffron extract
12g of dried saffron was put into 1kg of 70% aqueous ethanol and boiled at a temperature of 100 ℃ for 8 hours in an extractor equipped with a cooling condenser to extract, and then filtered with Filter paper (quality Filter paper No.2) to obtain a filtrate.
Comparative example 2: preparation of Tropaeolum majus extract
12g of dried Tropaeolum majus was put into 1kg of 70% aqueous ethanol and boiled at a temperature of 100 ℃ for 8 hours in an extractor equipped with a cooling condenser to extract, and then filtered with Filter paper (quality Filter Papers NO.2) to obtain a filtrate.
Comparative example 3: preparation of the extract of broom cypress
12g of dried broom was put into 1kg of 70% aqueous ethanol and boiled at a temperature of 100 ℃ for 8 hours in an extractor equipped with a cooling condenser to extract, and then obtained in a filtrate state after filtration with Filter paper (quality Filter Papers No. 2).
Comparative example 4: preparation of Hibiscus flower extract
12g of dried hibiscus was put into 1kg of 70% aqueous ethanol and boiled at a temperature of 100 ℃ for 8 hours in an extractor equipped with a cooling condenser to extract, and then obtained in a filtrate state after filtration with Filter paper (quality Filter Papers No. 2).
Test example 1: confirming the Effect of increasing the expression of wrinkle-associated factor
Fibroblast cells (HDFa) were adjusted to 5X 10 using Medium106 Medium supplemented with Low Serum Growth Supplement (LSGS)6Cells/well (cell/well) were then seeded in 6-well plates (well plates) and incubated for 24 hours. After the incubation, the samples of the above examples and comparative examples were treated and incubated for 48 hours. Ribonucleic acid (RNA) was extracted from the cultured cells and the increased rate of expression of collagen (collagen) was confirmed by Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). The expression increase rate of collagen (collagen) was calculated by the following formula, and the results are shown in table 2 below. As a positive control group, palmitate (retinol palmate) was used.

As shown in Table 2 above, the mixed extracts of saffron, tropaeolum, caragana sinica and hibiscus show higher collagen expression rates than the extracts of comparative examples 1 to 4 when treated at the same concentration. It was thus confirmed that a synergistic effect was exhibited by mixing them. Among them, the mixed extract of example 9 exhibited the most excellent collagen expression increasing effect.
Test example 2: increased effect of expression of elasticity-related factor
Fibroblast cells (HDFa) were adjusted to 5X 10 using Medium106 Medium supplemented with Low Serum Growth Supplement (LSGS)6Cells/well (cell/well) were then seeded in 6-well plates (well plates) and incubated for 24 hours. After incubation, the samples were processed and incubated for 48 hours. Ribonucleic acid (RNA) was extracted from the cultured cells and the rate of increase in expression of tropoelastin (tropoelastin) was confirmed by Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). The increase rate of tropoelastin expression can be calculated by the following formula, and the results are shown in Table 3 below. As a positive control group, palmitate (retinol palmate) was used.

As confirmed in Table 3 above, the mixed extracts of saffron, tropaeolum, caragana sinica and hibiscus show higher tropoelastin expression rates in the above examples compared to the extracts of comparative examples 1 to 4 when treated at the same concentrations. It was thus confirmed that a synergistic effect was exhibited by mixing them.
Test example 3: moisturizing-related factor expression increasing effect
Fibroblast cells (HDFa) were adjusted to 5X 10 using Medium106 Medium supplemented with Low Serum Growth Supplement (LSGS)6Cells/well (cell/well) were then seeded in 6-well plates (well plates) and incubated for 24 hours. After incubation, the samples were processed and incubated for 48 hours. Ribonucleic acid (RNA) was extracted from the cultured cells and the rate of increase in the expression of hyaluronan synthase 2 (HAS-2) was confirmed by Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). The expression increase rate of hyaluronan synthase 2 can be calculated by the following formula, and the results are shown in Table 4 below. Hyaluronic acid (hyaluronic acid) was used as a positive control group.

As confirmed in Table 4 above, the mixed extract samples of the above examples exhibited more excellent expression rate of hyaluronan synthase 2 than comparative examples 1 to 4 when treated at the same concentration. In particular, the mixed extract of example 9 exhibited the most excellent moisturizing effect.
Test example 4: skin cell regeneration effect
In order to confirm the skin cell regeneration effect, a wound healing test (wound healing assay) was performed. By adding Human Keratinocyte growth supplements (Human Keratinocyte growth)h Supplement, HKGK) adjusted keratinocytes (HEKa) to 1X 106Cells/well (cell/well) were then seeded in 6-well plates (well plates) and incubated for 18 hours. After scraping off a part of the cells, the samples of the above examples and comparative examples were treated and cultured for 8 hours. The cell regeneration rate was calculated by measuring the wound gap (wound gap) by the following formula, and the results thereof are shown in table 5 below. Madecassoside (madecassoside) was used as a positive control group.

As shown in Table 5 above, the mixed extracts of saffron, tropaeolum, caragana sinica and hibiscus mutabilis of the present invention exhibited more excellent cell regeneration rates and thus excellent cell regeneration effects, compared to the samples of examples 1 to 11, when treated at the same concentration.
Example 12: preparing an emulsion comprising the mixed extracts
The emulsion of example 9, which contained the mixed extracts of saffron, tropaeolum, broom and hibiscus prepared in the above examples, was prepared with the composition and content shown in table 6 below and with excellent effects by a conventional method.

Test example 5: confirmation of skin irritation alleviating Effect
The degree of stimulation relief was relatively evaluated by applying the emulsion of example 12 and the emulsion of comparative example 1 after skin irritation was induced by Tape Stripping (Tape striping Method) to the medial aspect of the lower wrist of 10 men and women aged 20 to 30 or older who had no skin allergy symptoms at present. Claims (7)
1. A cosmetic composition comprises a mixed extract of saffron, tropaeolum, caragana sinica and hibiscus as an active ingredient.
2. The cosmetic composition according to claim 1, wherein the mixed extract is a mixture of 1 to 5: 1-5: 1-5: 1-5 weight ratio of saffron, tropaeolum, broom cypress and hibiscus flower.
3. The cosmetic composition according to claim 1, wherein the mixed extract is contained in an amount of 0.01 to 90 wt% based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition.
4. The cosmetic composition according to claim 1, wherein the cosmetic composition is used for improving skin wrinkles and skin elasticity.
5. The cosmetic composition of claim 1, wherein said cosmetic composition is used for skin moisturization.
6. The cosmetic composition of claim 1, wherein said cosmetic composition is used for skin cell regeneration.
7. The cosmetic composition of claim 1, wherein said cosmetic composition is for alleviating skin irritation.
