Has the effects of dispelling wind, removing dampness, killing parasites and relieving itching. It can be used for treating scabies, eczema, and neurodermatitis.
Scorpio has pungent taste and mild nature, enters liver meridian, has effects of calming endogenous wind and relieving spasm, dredging collaterals and relieving pain, and removing toxic substance and resolving hard mass, and can be used for treating endogenous liver wind, spasm and convulsion, infantile convulsion, and apoplexyHemiplegia, tetanus, rheumatism, headache, sore, ulcer, scrofula, etc. The Scorpio is dried body of Buthus martensii Karsch of Buthidae. Catching in spring to autumn, removing silt, decocting in boiling water or boiling saline water until the whole body is stiff, taking out, placing in ventilated place, and drying in shade.
Squama Manis is salty in taste and cool in nature, has effects of relieving swelling, ulcerating carbuncle, dispelling pathogenic wind, activating collaterals, dredging channels, and promoting lactation, and can be used for treating carbuncle, cellulitis, sore, swelling, arthralgia due to wind-cold-dampness, amenorrhea, galactostasis, and hematochezia. The squama Manis has effects of reducing blood viscosity, relieving inflammation, improving anoxia tolerance, and inhibiting hepatic fibrosis. The squama Manis is prepared from Manidae (squama Manis) and is used after processing. The processing method comprises decocting, crisp-frying, vinegar-frying, urina hominis-frying, frying with oil, parching with earth, and parching with clam powder. Radix Sophorae Flavescentis is bitter in taste and cold in nature, and has effects of clearing heat, eliminating dampness, killing parasite and promoting urination, and can be used for treating dysentery, hematochezia, jaundice, anuresis, leucorrhea with red and white discharge, pudendal swelling, pruritus vulvae, eczema, skin pruritus, scabies, leprosy, and trichomonas vaginitis. The radix Sophorae Flavescentis is dried root of radix Sophorae Flavescentis of Leguminosae, collected in spring and autumn, removed root head and branch root, cleaned, dried, or sliced and dried. It is bitter and cold. Has the functions of clearing heat, drying dampness, killing parasites and promoting urination. Radix Angelicae Dahuricae is pungent in flavor and warm in nature, enters lung, spleen and stomach channels, has effects of relieving exterior syndrome, dispelling cold, dispelling pathogenic wind, relieving pain, dredging nasal orifice, eliminating dampness, relieving leukorrhagia, relieving swelling, expelling pus, dispelling pathogenic wind and relieving itching, and is used for treating wind-cold type common cold, headache, toothache, rheumatalgia, nasosinusitis, leukorrhagia, sore and carbuncle toxic swelling.
