在这方面,通常10至50 μm的层厚度被认为是薄层。
已经发现,通过在各个电池组件中使用不同的阴离子,固体电极和固体电解质之间的界面处的接触通常未被设置为最佳,因为嵌入材料的体积膨胀取决于材料的各自阴离子结构。
此外,由于固体蓄电池的充电和放电时的不同膨胀,通常不利地出现电极层之间的接触的损失。
目的和实现
本发明的目的是提供有效且成本有利的锂离子固体蓄电池,它克服了现有技术的迄今为止的缺点。
此外,本发明的目的是提供用于制造这种固体蓄电池,特别是锂离子固体蓄电池的简单且成本有利的方法。
本发明的目的通过具有主要权利要求的特征的制造锂离子固体蓄电池的方法,以及通过具有次要权利要求的特征的制造这类锂离子固体蓄电池的方法来实现。
所述蓄电池和制造方法的有利实施方式由各自引用其的从属权利要求得出。
发明内容
在本发明的范围内已经发现,固体蓄电池的制造,特别是锂离子固体蓄电池的制造可以有利地基于固体电解质而不是如迄今为止从电极侧之一进行。因此,固体电解质在电化学电池的制造中承担机械支承作用。
这意味着根据本发明制成的固体蓄电池的结构可以以电解质侧的方式,即从制造几乎致密烧结的电解质开始进行,随后可以在该电解质的两侧上布置两个电极。
下面将术语蓄电池用于可再充电的电池组。
根据本发明设置,首先将相应的粉末材料压制成致密的电解质层并随后烧结。然后电解质作为几乎致密烧结的电解质存在。几乎致密被理解为是指电解质具有相当于理论密度的大于85%的密度。同时,电解质的孔隙率应不大于20体积%,优选不大于15体积%。为了使其具有必要的机械稳定性,本发明的电解质层具有至少100 μm的层厚度。
在这种情况下,本发明的电解质既可以通过液相合成(溶胶凝胶或热液),也可以通过所谓的“固体氧化物”合成来制备。在“固体氧化物”合成的情况下,将氧化物前体紧密研磨并随后煅烧。随后将电解质以电解质丸粒的形式在大于10 kN下单轴预压,随后在大于1200kN下等静压(isostatisch)致密和烧结。
为此合适的电解质粉末一方面包含诸如氧化物、磷酸盐或甚至硅酸盐之类的化合物,但另一方面包含磷硫化物。既可以使用单独的这些化合物或磷硫化物,也可以使用不同的这类化合物或磷硫化物的混合物。
下面示例性地说明一些具体化合物,其适合作为上述意义上的电解质粉末,但不应理解为限于这些:
- 氧化物,例如Li7-xLa3Zr2AlxO12,其中x = 0至0.5,或Li7La3Zr2-xTaxO12,其中x = 0至0.5,
- 磷酸钛铝锂,例如Li1+xMxTi2-x(PO4)3,其中x = 0至7且M = AI (LATP)、Fe、Y或Ge,
- 锆酸镧锂,其中可以另外使用钽、铝和铁的掺杂,
- 磷硫化锂,其中可以掺入锗和硒,例如Li7P3S11、Li10P3S12、Li10MxP3-xS12,其中M = Ge、Se且x = 0至1;其中M = AyBz,其中A = Si、Ge且B = Sn、Si且其中y = 0至0.5且z = 1 - y。
在本发明的一个优选实施方案中,在本发明的方法中优选使用不同磷酸盐化合物的混合物。
用于制备本发明的固体电解质的特别有利的粉末混合物在此包含例如磷酸钒锂(LVP)、磷酸钛铝锂(LATP)和磷酸钛锂(LTP)。因为LATP是实际传导离子的电解质材料,它过量存在并且通常被添加到阳极和阴极两者中以实现更好的电导率。
该优选电解质粉末中LVP与LTP的比率为例如1.2:1。它是阴极限制(kathodischlimitiert)的电池,其中阴极具有相比于阳极能接收而言更多的锂作为活性组分。
用于制备固体电解质的粉末应具有100 nm至800 nm,优选200 nm至650 nm的平均粒度,以在致密和烧结后实现理论密度的至少85%的密度。
已经证明,所用电解质粉末在上述相关范围内的粒度的双峰或宽分布对于实现高理论密度是有利的和有希望的。太低的密度不太有利于固体电解质,因为对于离子传导而言的限制因素是晶界电导率。
在此,所用粉末的平均粒度(d50)一方面通过扫描电子显微镜(REM)测定,另一方面也通过静态光散射的测量方法测定。
通过适当选择粉末化合物或这些化合物的混合物用于电解质,可以有利地利用电解质的稳定性窗口或使蓄电池的整体结构尽可能最好地与电解质匹配。
作为对此的具体实例,可提及LTP和LVP的组合,其以特殊方式利用电解质的电化学稳定性窗口。然而在这种情况下暴露出相对低的电池电压作为缺点,因为阳极(LTP)的电压相对于Li/Li*为2.5 V并且因此阴极的高电压通常不能完全用于实现高能量密度。
由此制成的固体电解质优选在烧结步骤之后具有100 μm至800 μm,优选200 μm至500 μm,特别有利地200 μm至300 μm的层厚度。超过500 μm的层厚度已经可导致电池内部电阻的限制。100 μm的下限通常指出该层在其功能方面可作为机械稳定载体存在的下限。
在进一步的步骤中,各个电极层可以直接施加到之前烧结的电解质层的两侧上。作为对此合适的方法,特别应提及丝网印刷。通常适用的是,所有印刷方法,例如胶版印刷、辊到辊、浸渍床或喷墨印刷适合于该体系。
在这种情况下,可以使用所有标准电极材料,其中所用的电极材料应该取决于电解质的稳定性窗口。
作为氧化电极材料,对于阴极合适的例如是:
LiNiCoAlO2、LiNiCoMnO2 (NMC)、LiMn2-xMxO4,其中M = Ni、Fe、Co或Ru且其中x = 0至0.5,以及LiCoO2 (LCO)。
作为阳极,例如下列材料是合适的:
V2O5、LiVO3、U3VO4和Li4Ti5O12 (LTP)。
包含磷酸盐的化合物也适合作为电极材料,例如Li3V2(PO4)3或LiMPO4,其中M = ¼(Fe、Co、Ni、Mn)用于阴极,或LiM2(PO4)3,其中M = Zr、Ti、Hf或其混合物用于阳极。
根据本发明制造的蓄电池具有跨阳极、电解质和阴极的聚阴离子(PO4)3-的统一结构作为特别特征。在使用磷酸盐、磷硫化物和硅酸盐时,也出现这种结构特征。
根据本发明制造的固体蓄电池的稳定性在此特别地通过结构——即在其分子结构中——相互匹配的化合物来实现。该体系的结构完整性通过相互匹配的、在其晶体结构和体积膨胀中相互协调的电极和电解质组合来确保。
本发明的一个有利的实施方案设定,另外通过微-和/或纳米结构以特别的程度来匹配电极和之前制成的固体电解质之间的至少一个界面。
例如,为了实现两个电极与电解质的还更好的结构匹配,由电解质材料和阳极材料或电解质材料和阴极材料制成的复合层可任选地用作“增粘”层。在所述层中,除了纯电解质材料外也还含有纳米结构化的阳极颗粒或阴极颗粒作为活性组分。
所述中间层通常以1至10 μm,特别是1至5 μm的层厚度施加到固体电解质上。在此之后,施加相应的电极层。
所述纳米结构化可以例如通过使用溶剂热合成在添加合适的表面活性剂,例如TritonX100®的情况下来实现。由此可以确保固有粗糙度的补偿和两个层的材料与彼此的良好粘合。
所述固体蓄电池的所有其它层,即电极层和任选中间层的处理可以有利地通过常见的标准印刷方法,例如丝网印刷、胶版印刷或喷墨进行。

另外,以若干实施例和若干附图更详细地解释本发明,而这不应导致限制宽泛的保护范围。

其没有(a)和具有(b)任选的中间层,其具有集流体(1)、阳极(2)、本发明的固体电解质(3)、阴极(4)和电触点(5)和蓄电池壳体(6)。在图3b中,另外绘制了阳极中间层(7)和阴极中间层(8)。
制备本发明的固体电解质及其涂层的实施例:
预煅烧的磷酸钛铝锂(LATP)粉末在球磨机中研磨后(在研磨后的平均粒度,d50 <1 μm)在单轴活塞压机中压制(40kN)成直径为11 mm的丸粒。
随后,将所述丸粒在表面上抛光并在1100℃(加热速率2 K/min)下以30小时的保持时间在粉末床中烧结。烧结的电解质丸粒的密度为理论密度的约90%且厚度为约400 μm。在此,直径通常仅最小地收缩至约11.5 mm。
为了制备用于电极的浆料,LVP(用于阴极)或LTP(用于阳极)以及LATP、碳粉末(Super-P®)和乙基纤维素在研钵中搅拌,然后通过NMP(1-甲基吡咯烷酮)以9 : 5 : 3 : 3(重量%)的比率在转筒混合器中混合30分钟。这些浆料通过丝网印刷以每层70 μm的湿层厚度成层地印刷到电解质丸粒上。在涂层之间,将丸粒分别在真空中在110 ℃下干燥过夜。
干燥的阳极层具有60 μm的层厚度(相当于三个涂层)以平衡容量,阴极层具有90μm的厚度(相当于五个涂层)。然后在电池组壳体中在约1 t的按压力(Anpresskraft)下测量该蓄电池。
Claims (15)
1.制造包括阳极、阴极和固体电解质的锂离子固体蓄电池的方法,
其特征在于,
- 将预煅烧的电解质粉末压制并烧结成电解质层,
- 将第一电极施加在烧结的电解质层的第一表面上并烧结,和
- 将第二电极施加在烧结的电解质层的与第一表面相对的第二表面上并烧结。
2.根据权利要求1的方法,
其中使用包含至少一种磷酸盐化合物、至少一种硅化物化合物或至少一种磷硫化物的电解质粉末。
3.根据权利要求1至2任一项的方法,
其中使用包含磷酸钒锂(LVP)、磷酸钛铝锂(LATP)和磷酸钛锂(LTP)的混合物作为电解质粉末。
4.根据前一权利要求的方法,
其中在所述电解质粉末混合物中,磷酸钒锂(LVP)的含量为60至80重量%,磷酸钛铝锂(LATP)的含量为5至30重量%,磷酸钛锂(LTP)的含量为60至80重量%。
5.根据权利要求1至4任一项的方法,其中使用平均粒度为1至2000 nm,特别是10至200nm的电解质粉末。
6.根据权利要求1至5任一项的方法,其中至少一个电极通过丝网印刷、胶版印刷、辊到辊、浸渍床或喷墨印刷施加。
7.根据权利要求1至6任一项的方法,
其中在烧结之后,制造密度为理论密度的大于85%或孔隙率为小于20体积%,有利地小于15体积%的电解质层。
8.根据权利要求1至7任一项的方法,
其中制造层厚度为100 μm至800 μm,有利地200 μm至500 μm,特别是200 μm至300 μm的电解质层。
9.根据权利要求1至8任一项的方法,
其中在将至少一个电极层施加到烧结的电解质层的表面上之前,首先施加至少一个中间层,然后将电极层施加到所述中间层上。
10.根据前述权利要求9的方法,
其中在将两个电极层施加到烧结的电解质层的两个表面上之前,首先施加各一个中间层,然后将各自的电极层施加到所述中间层上。
11.根据前述权利要求9至10任一项的方法,
其中施加至少一个包含磷酸钛铝锂(LATP)和阳极材料或阴极材料的中间层。
12.根据前述权利要求9至11任一项的方法,
其中施加至少一个层厚度为1至10 μm,特别是1 μm至5 μm的中间层。
13.可根据权利要求1至12任一项制造的包括阳极、阴极和固体电解质的锂离子固体蓄电池,
其特征在于,
所述固体电解质的层厚度为100 μm至800 μm,优选200 μm至500 μm,特别有利地200 μm至300 μm。
14.根据权利要求13的锂离子固体蓄电池,
其中所述固体电解质包含磷酸钒锂(LVP)、磷酸钛铝锂(LATP)和磷酸钛锂(LTP)的混合物。
15.根据权利要求13至14的锂离子固体蓄电池,
其中所述固体电解质的磷酸钒锂(LVP)含量为60至80重量%,磷酸钛铝锂(LATP)含量为5至30重量%,磷酸钛锂(LTP)含量为60至80重量%。
