Abstract
用于传真系统中的广播发送装置和方法。该装置包括:存储器用于把传送广播发送失败的电话号码及其它相关数据作为发送信息存储在存储器的一个区中的控制器;把所述传送失败通知用户的单元以及用于根据按动一定键的数据所得的重新发送信息而将相应的号码进行拨号和重新发送的单元;对具有一个显示单元和一个存入存储器的挂起的作业表的传真系统中进行发送的方法由各相应步骤所组成。
Description
本发明涉及一种传真系统中的广播发送装置和方法。更具体地说,本发明涉及一种可在广播发送过程失败时自动重发电话号码的装置和方法。
发展高科技和加速工业化要求各种办公设备要向用户们提供更加方便而多种多样的功能。为此,人们已开发出一种配备在传真系统中的广播发送功能。
图2示出一个传统的传真系统中控制发送步骤的程序框图。在该传真系统中,一个用于控制该传统传真系统中的全部操作的控制单元(即微处理器)执行以下操作。即:当某一发送作业按用户的指令启动时,该控制单元在步骤100从某一数据库读出发送的电话号码。可以把各发送的电话号码键入发送作业或相应不同的实际电话号码数据库中。在步骤101中,该控制单元从数据库中读出一个最终地址的电话号码。该最终地址的电话号码就是所要拨号和发送的最后一个电话号码。控制单元在步骤102中对该最终地址的电话号码进行实际拨号。拨号以后,在步骤103中核对接收方在该传真系统中的应答(即线路接通)。如果核对中没有应答,则该控制单元就进行到步骤107。反之,如果核对中有应答(即该电话线路被成功地接通了),则在步骤104中把预先存储在某一数据存储器中的信息发送到接收方的传真系统。该信息也可能是由多页组成的。在步骤105中,核对该发送过程是否已成功地完成。如在该多页信息发送过程中产生差错,则在步骤106中就把剩下各页信息存储在存储器中。这信息就作为在下次再拨号时所要发送的页面的参考。在步骤107中核对该电话号码是否相当于该发送的最后一个电话号码。如果有下一个电话号码,则在步骤112中对该下一个电话号码指定索引,于是就再执行步骤101。
同时,如果步骤107中的电话号码是相当于广播发送的最后一个电话号码,则在步骤108中就核对该发送过程是否成功地完成了。如果该发送过程是失败的,则在步骤109中核对预置重发计数器是否超出计数范围。如果没有超出,则对该预置重发计数器就在步骤111中加一个单一数,于是就再执行步骤101。反之,如果该预置重发计数器超出计数范围,则在步骤110中输出一个发送失败的报告。该报告载有失败的电话号码、作业号以及已经发送过的页数等信息,这些信息都是已被存储在存储器中的。此时,用户应进行复位并对该失败的电话号码执行发送。
如上所述,该广播发送过程是通过每次打印发送成功的电话号码、失败的电话号码以及每页页号而完成的。于是,用户必须鉴别报告,然后再执行安排广播发送或个别发送作业的过程。因此,如果要发送许多电话号码或页面,就有一个造成用户不方便的问题,因为这需要同样多的时间和劳动。此外,如果要有选择地发送全部页面中的某些页面,则将产生另一个问题,即不可能进行这样重新发送的作业。虽然如此,如果要发送全部页面,则将另外会产生要再次发送已经发送的页面的问题,从而使其用户浪费一笔通信费用。
因此,本发明的一个目的是要提供一种可按照用户的指令对某相应的电话号码进行自动重发的装置和方法,并且它还应把发送失败的电话号码存储起来,并把该已经存储的电话号码通知用户。
为达到上述目的,提供了一种传真系统中的广播发送装置,包括一个存储器;一个控制单元,该控制单元用于把在广播发送过程中失败的电话号码的发送和其它相关数据作为发送信息而存在某一存储区内;一个用于把所述传送失败通知用户的单元;以及一个用于响应于所按下的一个键的数据的重发信息而对一个对应的号码进行拨号和重新发送的单元。并且,本发明还提供了一种用于传真系统的广播发送方法,该传真系统具有:一个显示单元和一个存储于存储器中的挂起的作业表。该方法包括以下步骤:执行一次广播发送,其中对广播电话号码进行读出和顺序拨号,在线路接通时发送出报文,并在该相应的报文发送失败时把剩下的页面信息存入挂起的作业表的给定存储区中;如果该相应的报文发送失败,则将该发送失败的电话号码和其它相关数据作为重发信息存储在该挂起的作业表的给定区域中;周期性地检查该挂起的作业表并使挂起的作业表的重发信息显示在显示单元上;返回到执行广播发送的步骤以便响应于所述重发信息的所述显示根据用户指令将发送失败的电话号码进行重新发送。
参考以下联系附图所作的详细描述就可易于了解本发明的各种特点和优点了。在这些附图中:
图1是说明按照本发明的传真系统的结构框图;

下文将用各附图详述本发明的一个优选实施例。
必须注意,全部附图将用同样的代号来指明相同或相当的具有相同功能的零部件。此外,在以下描述中,提出了诸如组成电路的各具体部件的多数特定的细节以便更加彻底地了解本发明。不过,显而易见,对于本领域的技术人员来说,本发明是可以在没有这些专门细节的条件下就能实现的。在本发明中将避免作那些对于已知功能和结构的不必要地使本发明的主题难于理解的过于详细的描述。
图1是说明按照本发明的传真系统结构框图。控制单元111按照预定程序控制传真系统中的发送方式和接收方式以及复印方式的总的操作。该控制单元还配备有一程序存储器和一数据存储器以及一备用存储器,或被连接到外部单元119至121。作为程序存储器的只读存储器(ROM)119存有按照本发明的程序,而作为数据存储器的随机存取存储器(RAM)120则暂存在执行该程序期间所产生的数据。也就是说,该数据存储器具有按照本发明的广播作业表、广播信息表、挂起的作业区以及信息区的结构。还有一个作为备用存储器的静态随机存取存储器(Static RAM)121。操作面板(OPE)112包括一个键入单元和一个显示单元。操作面板112的键入单元用于为指定各种方式所按的键产生数据并执行该被指定方式的操作,从而通过控制单元111输出所产生的数据。OPE112的显示单元输入显示数据以显示传真系统的操作状态,并在每种方式被执行时,显示通过那里输入的显示数据。传感器113核对某一文件是否被输入和是否有打印纸。通过控制单元111输出传感器113感受到的状态信号。扫描器114在移动该输入文件时对该输入文件的图象进行扫描,从而输出通过那里的输入文件的图象。图象处理器105把从扫描器114输出的图象信号转换成数字数据,从而通过那里输出转换过的数字数据。在控制单元111的控制下在执行接收方式和复印方式时,打印机116在打印纸上打印出从图象处理器115输入的图象数据。在控制单元111控制下的发送方式时,调制解调器(MODEM)117把从图象处理器115输出的图象数据调制成为发送格式(即传真系统的标准速率)的图象数据。然后将该调制过的图象数据发送到网络控制单元(NCU)118。在接收方式时,MODEM 117将通过传输线输入的编码图象信号解调成原来的格式以使其能够在图象处理器115中进行处理。NCU118在控制单元111的控制下形成电话线(塞尖和塞套线)和MODEM 117的发送/接收通路。
图3A和3B是说明控制按照本发明传真系统中的广播发送的流程图。步骤100至109和步骤111以及步骤112均与图2的相同。本发明的主要要点是要在步骤109中在重发计数器超限的情况下记录步骤210中的挂起的作业表上的失败信息。
在重新发送的执行次数与图3A的步骤109中所预置的重发计数器的次数一样多时,如果发送仍然失败,则该失败的电话号码、作业号和发送出的页数都在步骤210中储存在静态随机存取存储器(S-RAM)121中。
另一方面,如果在图3B的步骤310中发出一个中断信号时,则在步骤320中通过检索挂起的作业表来核对是否有挂起的失败作业。如果有挂起的作业,则在步骤330中OPE 112的液晶显示(LCD)上就显示一个再拨号组,例如报文“入口号=×××”。然后,如果用户在步骤340中用某一选择键以确认该入口号需要再拨号,则图3B的程序就回到图3A的步骤101。
同时,当用户取消目前正挂起的挂起的失败作业时,则以与上面提及的相同的形式显示出例如“取消挂起的作业=×××”的报文(未在图上示出)以便由用户确认。然后,如果用户通过按动某一已知键来确认该报文,则在该挂起作业区中的“用过”消息就被改变为“未用过”消息。
图4是说明按照本发明的传真系统中的广播发送失败作业表的输出状态的形式。该广播发送失败作业表在用户希望确认有多少挂起的失败作业时被打印。该失败作业表包括挂起的作业号和发送失败的电话号码。此外,把各次发送失败的电话号码及其剩下的页号记录在失败的作业表上以使用户可确认剩下的页号。如果是后面的失败页面,则从该存储器的数据区中取消发送成功的页面,从而减少该存储器的容量。
图5是说明按照本发明的广播作业表的结构形式。该广播作业表是广播发送所使用的控制区。无论如何,有一个项表明是否安排广播发送作业。一个文件号表示存储在存储器中的数据的一个索引。一个群标识是该广播发送作业表的参考标识。页面总数表明存储于存储器中的数据的总页数。一个最终地点就是一个电话号码区,在该电话号码区中存有一个实际电话号码。
图6是说明按照本发明的广播信息表的形式。该广播信息表是为某一实际发送过程做准备而赋予每个电话号码的一个信息区。在这里,“入口号”表示实际电话号码的顺序号,而“最终地点的电话号码”表示实际发送的电话号码。“重发计数器”指示拨号次数,该次数与设置于系统数据库中的入口计数器相同。如果在发送过程中按总页数的次数完成,则显示出消息“OK”,否则就在“结果”区中示出“NG”消息。
图7A和7B是说明按照本发明的挂起的作业区和信息区的结果形式。当广播发送完成而显示图6所示的广播信息表时,就把该广播信息表复制成挂起的作业区。该挂起的作业区包括一个使用或不使用区、一个作业号区、一个文件号区以及一个信息区。只有在“结果”区显示的是该广播信息表中的“NG”时,该信息区才再被录制。
详述如上的本发明的优点在于:自动地把发送失败的电话号码存储起来,并使用户可形象地看到该被存储的电话号码,同时按照用户的指令可自动地对相应的电话号码进行重新发送,从而免去用户必须逐个重新发送电话号码。本发明还有另一个优点在于:使用户所需要的电话号码可以无差错地传送,从而使用户深信其成功的传送。
虽然已经说明和描述了被认为是本发明的最佳实施例;但很清楚,那些精通本技术的人们可以在不脱离本发明的实质范围下,做出各种改变和修改,并做出各种等效品来代替其中的各种部件。
Claims (5)
1、一种用于传真系统中的广播发送装置,包括:
一个存储器,具有给定区域,用于存储挂起的作业表;
一个控制单元,用于把广播发送失败的电话号码和其它相关数据作为重发送信息存储在所述存储器的所述给定区中,用于形成所述挂起的作业表,所述重发送信息包括所述失败发送的任何剩余页的数据;
一个用于在显示屏上显示所述重发送信息的显示单元;以及
一个用于响应用户的命令,基于所述重发送信息而对一个相应的电话号码进行拨号及重新发送所述失败发送的任何剩余页的单元。
2、如权利要求1中所要求的装置,其特征在于还进一步包括:
一个用于在打印纸上打印所述重新发送信息的设备。
3、如权利要求1中所要求的装置,其特征在于,其中所述控制单元根据某一段时间中发生的中断信号而访问所述存储器的特定区域并寻找所述重新发送信息。
4、一种用于传真系统的广播发送方法,该传真系统具有一个显示单元和一个存储于存储器中的挂起的作业表,包括以下各步骤:
执行一次广播发送,其中对广播电话号码进行读出和顺序拨号,在线路接通时发出报文,并在相应报文的发送失败时将剩下的页面信息存储于所述挂起的作业表的给定区中;
在所述相应报文传送失败时,将所述传送失败的电话号码和其它相关数据作为重发信息存储在所述挂起的作业表的所述给定区中;
周期性地检查所述挂起的作业表并在所述显示单元上显示所述挂起的作业表中的重发信息;
返回到所述广播发送步骤以便根据所述重发信息的所述显示按照用户指令将所述传送失败的电话号码重新发送出去。
5、如权利要求4中所要求的方法还包括:
重复执行所述广播发送直到检查到所述广播发送失败使预置的重发计数器超限时为止。
