背景技术
传统的用于汽车发动机(如汽车内燃机)的滤油器通常包括过滤介质和当过滤介质变脏和基本堵塞时启动的旁通阀。例如,在1991年11月19日授予Faria的美国专利5,066,391中公开了这样的装置。这类装置的一个缺点是,一旦旁通阀打开,通常会被过滤介质捕获的颗粒碎片会通过该阀并重新进入发动机,导致发动机磨损和最终损坏。但是,强迫油通过过滤介质的弊端是,一旦过滤介质被颗粒物堵塞,则可能没有足够的油通过过滤器以有效地冷却发动机,将导致发动机比允许污油循环还要快得多地损坏。这类装置的另一个缺点是,一旦旁通阀打开,一度在过滤介质的前向侧捕获的颗粒物可以从过滤器脱落以返回到发动机,因为在此时油流从穿过过滤介质变为越过过滤介质。
其他的这类过滤器公开在1998年1月27日授予Jones等人的US5,711,872、2000年5月20日授予Stone等人的US6,068,762、2003年4月1日授予Smith的US6,540,914和2008年8月19日授予Tidwell的US7,413,089。这些装置也具有许多与Faria装置相同的缺点。
因此,需要一个能够克服现有技术存在的缺陷的装置。这种所需的过滤装置在初级过滤器堵塞时将打开旁通阀,但是另外地通过二级多孔过滤器进行油的过滤。这种所需的过滤器易于清洗以恢复初级过滤器的效能,并使用潜在地比其安装的机器维持更长时间的耐用材料制造。这种装置将进一步用于在油通过时将其冷却。本发明实现了这些目的。
发明概述
本装置为一种用于具有油输出口和油输入口的机器(例如内燃机)的滤油组件。安装板与外壳固定(如通过第一组配合螺丝(cooperativethread)),并且适于固定到机器(如通过第二组配合螺丝)上。安装板还适用于引导油从机器的油输出口进入外壳的外围部分,然后将油从外壳的中央部分返回到机器的油输入口中。
初级过滤器具有第一孔隙度。油通过初级过滤器从外壳的外围部分移动到中央部分。一个压力驱动阀流体地(fluidly)固定在外壳的外围部分和中央部分之间。只有当外壳的外围部分和中央部分之间的油压差超过预定的压力阈值时,比如当初级过滤器50变脏时,油才能通过压力驱动阀。二级过滤器具有比第一孔隙度大的第二孔隙度,并且流体地固定在压力驱动阀和外壳的中央部分之间。
因此,当油从机器的油输出口穿过滤油组件到达机器的油输入口时,油必然或者通过初级过滤器,或者在达到预定的压力阈值P时,通过初级过滤器或二级过滤器。当初级过滤器变脏时,例如,在经过预定的机器运行小时数后,滤油组件可被拆解并且清洗各个部件,优选在标准的洗碟机(dishwasher)中或类似装置中进行。
本发明是一旦在初级过滤器堵塞时打开旁通的压力驱动阀的过滤器装置,而仍然通过更多孔的次级过滤器继续进行油过滤。该设备易于清洗,如在传统的家用洗碟机中,以恢复初级过滤器的性能,并由可潜在地比其安装的车辆或机器维持更长时间的耐用材料制成。本发明进一步在油通过时将其冷却。本发明的其他特点和优点将通过下面更详细的说明并结合附图变得更清楚,附图以举例的方式阐述了本发明的原理。

优选实施方式的详细说明

初级过滤器50具有第一孔隙度P1,优选小于15微米。在一个实施方式中,第一孔隙度P1约为5微米。油可以通过初级过滤器50从外壳40的外围部分48移动到中央部分45。在一个实施方式中,初级过滤器50夹置在两个半刚性的防护格栅80(各由耐用的、耐洗碟机的材料制成,如不锈钢网状材料等)之间(图8)。这种半刚性防护格栅80有助于维持初级过滤器50在外壳40中使用时的形状。
压力驱动阀70流体地固定在外壳40的外围部分48和中央部分45之间。只有当外壳40的外围部分48和中央部分45之间的油压差超过预定压力阈值Pt时,例如当初级过滤器50变脏或有碎片堵塞时(图9),油才能通过压力驱动阀70。在一个实施方式中,压力驱动阀70为包括通过弹簧120偏置在封闭位置130的球110的球阀。当阈值压力Pt被超过时,球110被推进到开放位置140中。优选球110和其他部件为耐用的和易于清洗的,如钛或钨。
二级过滤器60具有第二孔隙度P2(P2大于P1),并流体地固定在压力驱动阀70和外壳40的中央部分45之间(图1B和7)。优选P2大于约15微米,在一个实施方式中为约25微米。
在一个实施方式中,初级过滤器50基本为圆柱形,且包括具有螺纹孔165(用于将二级过滤组件170安装于其上)的端帽160(图8)。二级过滤组件170包括二级过滤器壳180,其至少部分地封闭二级过滤器60并通过球座和密封板190将二级过滤器60和压力驱动阀70固定到端帽160上。
因此,当油从机器20的油输出口21穿过滤油组件10到达机器20的油输入口22时,油必须或者通过初级过滤器50,或者在达到预定的压力阈值Pt时通过初级过滤器50或二级过滤器60。利用外壳40的散热片150,油在通过外壳40的外围部分48时被冷却。当初级过滤器50变脏时,例如,在经过预定的机器运行小时数后,滤油组件10可被拆解并且清洗各个部件,优选在标准的洗碟机或类似的装置中。因此,初级和二级过滤器50,60优选用耐洗碟机的、耐腐蚀的和耐用的材料制成,例如钛网、不锈钢金属网、混合陶瓷材料等。

Claims (14)
1.一种用于具有油输出口和油输入口的机器的滤油组件,该滤油组件包括:
与外壳固定在一起的安装板,该安装板适应于固定到该机器上,用于从该机器的油输出口将油引导到外壳的外围部分中,并用于将油从外壳的中央部分返回到机器的油输入口中;
具有第一孔隙度的初级过滤器,且油可以通过该初级过滤器从外壳的外围部分移动到中央部分;
压力驱动阀,流体地固定在外壳的外围和中央部分之间,只有当外壳的外围部分和中央部分之间的油压差超过预定的阈值时,油才能通过该压力驱动阀;
二级过滤器,具有比第一孔隙度更大的第二孔隙度,所述二级过滤器安置在所述初级过滤器内且流体地固定在压力驱动阀和外壳的中央部分之间;
从而穿过该滤油组件的油必须或者通过初级过滤器,或者在达到预定的压力阈值时,通过初级过滤器和二级过滤器。
2.权利要求1的滤油组件,其中所述初级过滤器和二级过滤器各由耐洗碟机的和耐腐蚀的材料制成。
3.权利要求2的滤油组件,其中所述初级过滤器和二级过滤器各由钛网制成。
4.权利要求1的滤油组件,其中所述初级过滤器具有小于15微米的孔隙。
5.权利要求1的滤油组件,其中所述二级过滤器具有大于15微米的孔隙。
6.权利要求1的滤油组件,其中所述初级过滤器夹置在两个半刚性的防护格栅之间。
7.权利要求1的滤油组件,其中所述安装板通过第一组配合螺丝固定到外壳上。
8.权利要求1的滤油组件,其中所述安装板通过第二组配合螺丝固定到机器上。
9.权利要求1的滤油组件,其中所述压力驱动阀包括通过弹簧偏压在封闭位置的球阀。
10.权利要求1的滤油组件,其中所述外壳还包括多个从该外壳径向地突起的散热片。
11.权利要求1的滤油组件,其中所述初级过滤器为圆柱形,且包括带有用于在其上安装二级过滤组件的螺纹孔的端帽,该二级过滤组件包括至少部分地封闭所述二级过滤器并利用球座和密封板将二级过滤器和压力驱动阀固定到该端帽上的二级过滤器外壳。
12.一种在机器中过滤油的方法,包括以下步骤:
a)从该机器接收油流;
b)通过具有第一孔隙度的初级过滤器过滤该油;
c)如果初级过滤器两侧达到预定的油压降,打开压力驱动阀以使得至少一部分油流过具有大于第一孔隙度的第二孔隙度的二级过滤器;和
d)将油返回到机器中。
13.权利要求12的方法,其中步骤a)替换为
a)从机器接收油流,并将油冷却。
14.权利要求12的方法,进一步包括以下步骤:
e)从步骤a)开始重复,直到初级过滤器变脏;
f)从与机器的液体连通移出初级过滤器;
g)清洗该初级过滤器;
h)重建初级过滤器与该机器的液体连通;
i)从步骤a)开始重复。
