技术领域
本发明大体上涉及塑料容器的领域,明确地说,涉及具有改进型底座部分设计以适应热灌装条件的塑料容器。
背景技术
当今,大量塑料容器在高温下灌装液体和其它内容物。然而,随着容器内的产品冷却,产品所占据的容积减少,从而引起部分真空,部分真空向容器壁施加向内的力。既定通过“热灌装”过程来灌装的容器通常称为热灌装容器。热灌装容器的设计尤其受到解决预期内容物冷却/收缩和相关联的力的需求影响。
发明内容
一种用于塑料容器的底座包括:外部支撑部分;结构化构造环,其包括多个连续构造;内部内翻部分,其从所述结构化构造环径向向内安置;以及中心部分。在一实施例中,所述连续构造以大致环状配置安置,且至少所述内部内翻部分经配置以响应于与所述容器相关联的内部真空力而弯曲。

图1大体上说明塑料容器10,其具有垂直中心线CL且包括根据本发明的实施例的底座部分20。容器10且因此底座20可包含聚合物(例如(但不限于)聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯(PET)),且可为双轴定向的。图2中大体上展示底座部分20的平面图。然而,本发明不限于所示容器的类型或式样,且各种其它大小和配置(举例来说且并非限制,例如大体上在图7中所说明的配置)可属于本发明的范围和精神内。
所说明实施例的底座部分20包括:外部支撑部分(其可采取环形支撑环30的形式);第一内翻部分(例如,第一内翻环40);平坦部分(或台阶部分)50;结构化构造环60(也称为“拉锁环”);第二内翻部分70;以及中心部分80。如大体上所说明,中心部分80可包括圆顶或升高部分,包括结合各种常规容器所提供的部分。另外,如大体上所说明,底座部分20还可包括一个或一个以上结构增强构造90。
在实施例中,平坦部分(或台阶部分)50可提供于外部支撑环30与拉锁环之间,且可进一步提供于第一内翻部分40(其可为成角度的区段或部分)与拉锁环60之间。平坦部分(或台阶部分)50可为大致平坦的,且对于一些实施例来说,可大体上垂直于垂直中心线CL。然而,一些实施例还可提供平坦部分50的某种程度的倾斜(偏离垂直)。
外部支撑部分(其可包含环形支撑环30)可经配置以将容器10支撑在一个表面上。如图5和图6中可能更好地说明,第一内翻部分可包含成角度的区段,即相对于容器的垂直中心线CL成角度。
在本发明的实施例中,结构增强构造可包括多个径向延伸肋状物90——其大小和/或形状可变化。在所说明的实施例中,三个径向延伸肋状物90展示为围绕容器10的垂直中心线CL以120度的间隔安置。另外,可提供的结构增强构造可经配置以相对于容器底座部分20的邻近壁部分向内(例如,向内凹口或狭缝)和/或向外延伸。然而,请注意,本发明不限于所说明的结构增强构造,且可采用除了所描绘的构造之外的所属领域的技术人员已知的各种其它构造,或可采用所属领域的技术人员已知的各种其它构造来代替所描绘的构造。
图3大体上描绘根据本发明的实施例的容器底座部分20的一部分的正视截面图。图3中所说明的容器展示为处于未灌装条件下。图4中说明图3中所展示的类型的容器底座部分的正视部分透视图。如图4中大体上说明,结构构造环(或拉锁环)60可包含多个连续构造110(也称为“齿状物”)。在一实施例中,连续构造110可相对于底座的直接邻近部分向内延伸。对于其它实施例来说,连续构造110可相对于底座的直接邻近部分向外延伸。如所说明,邻近的齿状物110(其在图2中展示为略呈“钻石”形构造)可全部或大部分由提供于其间的中间表面部分100分开。尽管结合某些实施例说明“钻石”形齿状物110,但可改为提供可提供所要功能性的其它构形(例如(但不限于),包括多个齿状物“三角”形齿状物的构形),或者,对于一些实施例来说,可以图案(例如,交替)散布不同的齿状物配置。在一实施例中,中间表面部分100可包含大体上平面部分或区段。另外,对于一些实施例来说,拉锁环60的连续构造110可由一个或一个以上中断构造(例如,突出部或定向构造)中断。拉锁环60(其可包含包括多个交替齿状物110和中间表面部分100的环形区段)可经配置以充当铰链点,且可在支撑环30的周边周围大致均匀地分布应力集中力(由冷却的真空产生)。对于若干实施例来说,此类配置可减轻折皱可能性且准许支撑环30在真空下更均一地移位。此外,参看所说明的实施例,平坦部分50可包围拉锁环60,且可另外充当外部内翻环——其可结合拉锁环60起作用以准许底座部分20在处于真空压力下时的较大移位。
图5大体上说明根据本发明的实施例的容器底座部分20的侧视图轮廓,其展示为在热灌装之前。图6大体上说明在热灌装之后(即,在容器10的内容物已冷却且容器已经历相关联的真空力之后)的图5中所展示的底座部分20。如图5中大体上说明,在预热灌装条件下,拉锁环60可向下延伸到位于或大约位于支撑环30的水平。此外,对于一些实施例,与未灌装容器10相关联的拉锁环60可在支撑环30的水平下方延伸。
可使用各种运输技术来输送根据本发明的教示所提供的容器。举例来说(并非限制),可针对本发明的实施例(包括未灌装容器的拉锁环60在支撑环30的水平下方延伸的实施例)采用各种台面输送和/或颈部引导的携载选项(包括利用空中输送的选项)。
继续参看图5,大体上说明距离D。距离D表示平坦部分50与支撑环30的最低部分之间的高度差。对于一些实施例来说,距离D可为约0.065到0.010英寸(并非限制)。另外,对于容器底座部分20不包括外部内翻部分的一些其它实施例来说,距离D可为约0.065到0.000英寸(并非限制)。
以实例而非限制的方式且部分依据整体总封装重量,对于本发明的实施例来说——(a)拉锁环60的壁厚度可在0.008到0.030英寸的范围内;且(b)第一(外部)内翻环40的壁厚度可在0.006到0.035英寸的范围内。
容器10大体上适于热灌装温度介于140华氏度与210华氏度之间的液体。以实例而非限制的方式,对于本发明的实施例来说,容器10可在160华氏度与190华氏度之间进行灌装。
图7中大体上展示根据本发明的教示的底座部分20′的另一实施例的平面图。所说明实施例的底座部分20′包括:外部支撑部分(其可采取环形支撑环30′的形式);第一内翻部分(例如,第一内翻环40′);平坦部分(或台阶部分)50′;结构化构造环60′(也称为“拉锁环”);第二内翻部分70′;以及中心部分80′。如大体上所说明,中心部分80′可包括圆顶或升高部分,包括结合各种常规容器所提供的部分。另外,如大体上所说明,底座部分20′还可包括一个或一个以上结构增强构造90′。另外请注意,中心部分80′可以各种其它形式配置。举例来说,且并非限制,中心部分80′可改为如结合图2中所展示的中心部分80的实施例大体上所说明那样进行配置。

Claims (20)

内部内翻部分,其从所述结构化构造环径向向内安置;以及
中心部分;
其中至少所述内部内翻部分经配置以响应于与所述容器相关联的内部真空力而弯曲。
2.根据权利要求1所述的底座,其特征在于所述外部支撑部分包含环形支撑环。
3.根据权利要求1所述的底座,其包括提供于所述外部支撑部分与所述结构化构造环之间的平坦部分或台阶部分。
4.根据权利要求1所述的底座,其特征在于所述中心部分包括一个或一个以上结构增强构造。
5.根据权利要求1所述的底座,其特征在于所述中心部分包括多个径向延伸肋状物。
6.根据权利要求5所述的底座,其特征在于所述肋状物经配置以向内延伸。
7.根据权利要求1所述的底座,其特征在于所述多个连续构造包含多个齿状物。
8.根据权利要求7所述的底座,其特征在于在仰视平面图中,所述多个齿状物中的每一者具有钻石形配置。
9.根据权利要求1所述的底座,其特征在于中间表面部分至少部分提供于邻近的连续构造之间。
10.根据权利要求1所述的底座,其特征在于所述多个连续构造包含包括多个交替齿状物和中间表面部分的环形区段。

外部支撑部分;
结构化构造环,其包括多个连续构造,所述连续构造以大致环状配置安置;
外部内翻部分,其提供于所述外部支撑部分与所述结构化构造环之间;
平坦部分或台阶部分,其提供于所述外部内翻部分与所述结构化构造环之间;
内部内翻部分;以及
中心部分。
