技术领域
本发明涉及一种根据权利要求1的前序部分的膝部气囊。
膝部气囊在汽车工业中变得越来越普及,且其具有两个基本目标:一方面,在发生事故时,它们应当阻止车辆乘客的膝盖-胫骨-区域不与仪表板的下部区域直接接触。此外,膝部气囊应当阻止乘客的骨盆区域向前移动;这对于没有佩戴安全带的乘客尤为重要。
膝部气囊设置在仪表板下部区域的壳体内。通常期望把该壳体设置在尽可能远离搁脚空间的方向上,从而位于背离乘客的仪表板的前部区域内;或者位于仪表板和搁脚空间之间的过渡区域内。然而,由于仪表板以凸起形式呈半球形,该膝部气囊也必须遵循该半球形状,这样就显示了“香蕉形”截面。这可主要通过外部系带的连接实现,然而这往往是不理想的。
背景技术
普通专利申请DE 10 2007 005 304A1因此建议在气囊外皮的后部提供纵向褶皱(fold)以及设置在该纵向褶皱内的多个进一步褶皱。也就是说,在该部分朝向仪表板,从而通过接缝固定所述进一步褶皱。这些进一步褶皱缩短了第一褶皱的脊(ridge)。当后部处于拉应力下时,即当气囊被填充时,由于缩短呈现凹形,导致呈现期望的“香蕉形”。以这种方式制造的膝部气囊基本上功能良好。然而,缺点是需要提供一些相对于彼此精确定位的褶皱,这一方面使得自动化制造困难,另一方面通常需要精确的最终检查。
发明内容
以此为基础,本发明以更合理的方式制造膝部气囊,来解决改善通用型膝部气囊的问题。
通过具有权利要求1的特征的膝部气囊来完成该目的。
气囊外皮的后部具有用于气囊轮廓的连接线。气囊外皮沿着该连接线与自身相连,从而产生了褶皱。连接线基本上交叉于膝部气囊的纵向方向延伸,这里的纵向方向是指当气囊处于安装和膨胀状态时,气囊位于直立的纵向车辆平面。换句话说,当处于安装和膨胀状态时,连接线基本上垂直于车辆的纵向方向延伸。
通常,在膝部气囊固定点附近设置一条这种连接线就足够了。
在权利要求2的优选实施例中,气囊外皮的后部有一长方形开口,且该长方形开口通过连接线封闭。这具有两个优势:一方面,这防止了膨胀的气囊被褶皱材料推离内部结构,这将抵消期望的效果且在最坏情况下将对其部分补偿。另一方面,这种方法使得能够易于提供系带,该系带在连接线的位置处精确地连接膝部气囊的后部与前部(权利要求3)。
在多数申请中,优选将连接线形成为接缝,但是也可以焊缝或粘结连接的形式来实现连接线。

具体实施方式
图1显示了膝部气囊的预切割片,图2,图3和图4分别显示了系带30、34、38,它们与图1的预切割片10缝制在一起形成膝部气囊。在图1至图4中示出了接缝的位置,并且由附图标记40a、42a、44a、46a、48a、50a和52a指定。
预切割片10基本上相对于折叠线25镜像对称,在膝部气囊的制造过程中,预切割片10围绕该折叠线折叠。折叠线25将后部22与前部20分离并分隔。沿着预切割片10的边缘设置边缝;边缝的位置由附图标记40a指定。随着边缝的封闭,前部20和后部22沿着它们的边缘彼此直接接合,由此通过边缝40b和折叠线25形成边缘。当前部20和后部22通过边缝接合在一起时,由边缝包围的区域首先叠合地(除了孔12)并且平面地一个置于另一个之上。
前部20和后部22的镜像对称有如下偏差:后部22示出有侧耳23,当气囊缝合在一起时,该侧耳弯曲并与边缝40b缝合,从而它们在侧面保护边缝。此外,后部22在其最后端示出有点火连接器开口14,两个螺栓孔16、16’以及切口18。气体产生器可穿过该切口18插入,且通过穿过螺栓孔16、16’延伸的螺栓与车辆的内部结构相连接。点火电缆通过点火连接器开口14连接至气体产生器。
最后,后部22示出具有以长方形形状形成的开口12,且该开口的长轴与折叠线25平行,换句话说,与预切割片的纵向方向X垂直。缩短接缝的位置46a在开口12附近延伸。该缩短接缝同时是第三系带接缝。
由上述组件制造膝部气囊如下:第一步,将系带30、34、38沿着位置52a、48a和44a与预切割片10的前部30缝合。此后,将预切割片10沿着折叠线25折叠,且起初将第三系带38沿着位置50a缝制,并接着将第一系带30沿着位置42a与后部22缝合。在制造的该状态下,前部和后部20、22平面地并且叠合地一个位于另一个之上,从而可以很容易产生边缝40b。边缝40b形成之后,最终开口12通过缩短接缝和第三系带接缝46b闭合,从而第二系带46a的相应的端部区域保持在开口12的边缘之间。
第一和第三系带30、38是具有侧切口的双T型,气体可通过此处流动。面对第二系带34的后部22的侧面是凹形的,且遵循长方形开口12的曲率。
图5图示了完成缝合的膝部气囊。可看到边缝40b,以及第一系带接缝42b、缩短接缝和第三系带接缝46b和第五系带接缝50b。
图6是沿着穿过图5的剖面A-A得到的示意性截面图。在该视图中,可特别清晰地看出系带30、34、38是如何通过系带接缝42b、44b、46b、48b、50b、52b缝制于气囊外皮5的。特别地,可看出第二系带34的后端部是如何通过缩短接缝和第三系带接缝46b保持在开口12的边缘之间的。图6也图示了具有附加加固层62的气体引导组件60,该附加的加固层可另外提供。气体引导组件60和加固层62在其它附图中没有显示。
图7图示了当膝部气囊完全膨胀时的安装情况。膝部气囊基本上在方向X上从后端部R延伸至前端部F。从这里可以看出由缩短接缝46b引起的效果。由于该缩短接缝46,后部22与前部20相比在X方向被缩短,这使得充满气体的气囊在该位置弯曲,从而通过其支撑表面22a靠在仪表板的下部区域68上并遵循仪表板的该下部区域,从而得到香蕉形状的横截面,其中该支撑表面22a是后部22的一部分。冲击表面20a与支撑表面22a相对放置。
与图示的实施例不同,气囊外皮可由两个预切割片组合,从而一个预切割片形成前部,而另一个预切割片形成后部,从而提供了完全包围的边缝。

Claims (8)

1.一种用于机动车辆的膝部气囊,在安装状态时,其沿着纵向方向(X)从后端部向前端部延伸,所述膝部气囊具有气囊外皮(5),其中气囊外皮(5)具有前部(20)和后部(22),用于气囊轮廓的连接线位于后部(22)上,其特征在于:所述连接线主要交叉于纵向方向(X)延伸,并在纵向方向上缩短所述后部(22)。
2.根据权利要求1所述的膝部气囊,其特征在于:后部(22)具有长方形开口(12),所述开口(12)由所述连接线封闭。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的膝部气囊,其特征在于:设有系带(34),其后端部通过连接线与后部(22)相连,其前端部与前部(20)相连。
4.根据前述任一权利要求所述的膝部气囊,其特征在于:只提供一条连接线。
5.根据前述任一权利要求所述的膝部气囊,其特征在于:前部和后部(20,22)沿边缘区域彼此直接相连。
6.根据前述任一权利要求所述的膝部气囊,其特征在于:所述连接线为接缝(46b)。
7.根据前述任一权利要求所述的气囊,其特征在于:所述气囊外皮(5)由两个预切割片组成。
8.根据权利要求1至6中任一项所述的气囊,其特征在于:气囊外皮由一个预切割片(10)折叠。
