Abstract
本发明提供一种阻燃性烯烃类树脂组合物,其中满足UL-94V-0阻燃标准的溴类阻燃剂、热膨胀性石墨以及无机阻燃助剂的总重量比率不超过30%。所述阻燃性烯烃类树脂组合物含有以下成份:(A)烯烃类树脂(B)热膨胀性石墨(C)选自下述(a)、(b)及(c)中的溴类阻燃剂中的一种或它们的混合物:(a)所示的化合物(Ⅰ)式中,R表示-CH3或-H,A表示-C(CH3)2-、-SO2-、-S-或-CH2-,(b)溴含量为40重量%以上的脂环化合物,(c)2,4,6-三(单、二或三溴苯氧基)三嗪;(D)无机阻燃助剂,所述成分的重量比率分别为(B)成分为1.5~4.5%,(C)成分为5.0~18.0%,(D)成分为1.0~5.0%,剩余组分为(A)。

技术领域
本发明涉及一种特别符合UL安全标准UL-94 V-0等级的高度阻燃性烯烃类树脂组合物。
背景技术
烯烃类树脂具有优良的耐水性、耐药品性、电绝缘性、机械强度,并且成形加工容易,因此被应用在机械、电气设备或汽车部件等广泛的用途中。为了应用于上述用途,必须对烷烃类树脂阻燃化,因此,目前用各种各样的方法进行阻燃化。其中,阻燃效果好,实际中最被广泛应用的方法是添加四溴双酚A、四溴双酚S、或它们的二溴丙醚等卤代类阻燃剂的方法。在烯烃类树脂中添加上述卤代阻燃剂时,虽然可付与一定程度的阻燃性,但是,很难防止燃烧时树脂热分解而生成的低分子量的液状碳化氢滴下的现象(drip)。
作为阻燃标准,例如有Underwriters Laboratiries Inc.的UL标准,可以举出UL-94。在遵照UL-94的试验中,要达到V-0等级的阻燃性,必须抑制滴下现象。
迄今为止,公开了下述内容:在相对于100重量份由30~80重量%聚丙烯、5~25重量%聚乙烯以及10~50重量%的选自粉末状滑石、高岭石、绢云母、二氧化硅、硅藻土中的一种无机填充剂构成的组合物中,配合3~35重量份的十溴二苯醚和/或十二氯十二氢二甲桥二苯环辛烯而形成阻燃性树脂,在该阻燃性树脂组成中,该聚乙烯的作用对燃烧时的熔融滴下是有效的。(特公昭55-30739号公报)。
但是,添加的无机填充材料的量多会损坏物性。另外,作为膨胀石墨的配合处方,例如,虽然有WO 03/046071,但因为必须添加5-13%热膨胀石墨,大大地降低了机械特性。
为了达到UL-94 V-0或V-1,该文献公开的烯烃类树脂组合物中按重量比率计分别含有热膨胀性石墨5~13.5%,卤代类阻燃剂4~22%,无机阻燃剂0~7.0%,共计24.3~40%,而剩余为烯烃类树脂。该组合物的特点在于,没有添加三氧化锑之类的无机阻燃剂,或即使添加了,与以往的技术相比,也能够减量。
为了达到UL-94 V-0的阻燃性等级标准,必须添加一定量的溴类阻燃剂以及防止熔融滴下所必需的添加剂。当然,由于上述添加成分根据添加量会对树脂本身的机械物性产生不好的影响,所以只要能达到阻燃性以及防止滴下,优选尽量少的添加量。
为达到上述要求,本发明人等通过将热膨胀性石墨、特定的溴类阻燃剂以及无机阻燃助剂进行组合,将其添加至烯烃类树脂中,发现能够大幅度降低添加成分的总添加量。
发明内容
本发明提供一种阻燃性烯烃类树脂组合物,该组合物含有以下成份:
(A)烯烃类树脂;
(B)热膨胀性石墨;
(C)选自下述(a)、(b)及(c)中的溴类阻燃剂中的一种或它们的混合物:
(a)下式表示的化合物
式中,R表示-CH3或-H,A表示-C(CH3)2-、-SO2-、-S-或-CH2-,
(b)溴含量为40重量%以上的脂环化合物,
(c)2,4,6-三(单、二或三溴苯氧基)三嗪;以及
(D)无机阻燃助剂,
上述组合物中各成分的重量比率分别为(B)成分1.5~4.5%,(C)成分5.0~18.0%,(D)成分1.0~5.0%,剩余成分为(A)。
上述组合物中的(B)、(C)以及(D)成分的总量没有超过组合物总量的30重量%,与WO03/046071公开的阻燃性烯烃类树脂组合物的(B)、(C)以及(D)成分的总量24.3~40%相比,含量大幅度降低。
具体实施方式
首先对本发明的阻燃性烯烃类树脂组合物的(A)、(B)、(C)以及(D)成分进行说明。
(A)烯烃类树脂
本发明对(A)烯烃类树脂没有特别限定,例如有乙烯、丙烯、丁烯、戊烯、异戊二烯、丁二烯等烯烃的均聚物或上述两种以上的共聚物以及上述两种以上的混合物。优选聚丙烯、聚乙烯以及丙烯-乙烯共聚物、乙烯-丙烯-二烯单体。
另外,(A)烯烃类树脂中,共聚比以重量比计为10/90~98/2,也含有烯烃与(甲基)丙烯酸(酯)类单体、烯烃与乙烯酯类单体或烯烃与芳香族单体的共聚物。对上述共聚物没有特别的限定,可使用任意物质,也可使用已市售的市售品。作为烯烃与(甲基)丙烯酸(酯)类单体的共聚物,例如有乙烯-丙烯酸、乙烯-丙烯酸乙酯、乙烯-丙烯酸丁酯、乙烯-丙烯酸-2-乙基己酯、乙烯-异丁烯酸、乙烯-异丁烯酸甲酯、乙烯-异丁烯酸丙酯、乙烯-异丁烯酸丁酯的共聚物等。烯烃与乙烯酯类单体的共聚物,例如有乙烯-醋酸乙烯酯、乙烯-丙酸乙烯酯、乙烯-三甲基醋酸乙烯酯的共聚物等。烯烃与芳香族单体的聚合体例如有乙烯-苯乙烯、乙烯-丙烯-苯乙烯、异戊二烯-苯乙烯、乙烯-异戊二烯-苯乙烯、乙烯-苯乙烯-甲基苯乙烯、加氢丁二烯-苯乙烯的共聚物等。
上述(A)烯烃类树脂可单独使用一种或混合使用两种以上。
有观点认为烯烃类树脂可以大致分为以聚乙烯以及聚丙烯为代表的热塑性塑料和以丁基橡胶、乙烯丙烯橡胶、丙烯酸橡胶为代表的烯烃类橡胶。乙烯丙烯橡胶(EPM)不含引入双键的第三种成分,但在EPM上引入如5-亚乙基-2-降冰片烯、1,4-己二烯之类的双键使硫化成为可能的橡胶被认为是EPDM。热塑性塑料含有比使用温度(常温)更高的Tg,橡胶具有比使用温度更低的Tg。
(B)热膨胀性石墨
B是将天然鳞片状石墨、热分解石墨、集结石墨等的粉末经过浓硫酸、硝酸、硒酸等的无机酸和浓硝酸、高氯酸、高氯酸盐、高锰酸盐、重铬酸盐、过氧化氢等强氧化剂处理,让其生成石墨层间化合物的成分,是保持碳的层状结构的结晶化合物。特别优选,经酸处理后,进一步用氨、低级脂肪胺、碱金属化合物、碱土类金属化合物中和之后的热膨胀性石墨。该热膨胀性石墨已有售,本发明中可以使用市售品。本发明的(B)在1000℃下的膨胀度在15~250cc/g以上,粒径为80~325目,另外,膨胀开始温度优选200~300℃。
(C)溴类阻燃剂
(a)如通式1所示的溴类阻燃剂
对如通式1所示的溴类阻燃剂的制造方法没有特别限定,例如,有将四溴双酚A用烯丙基氯醚化后进行溴化的方法。
如通式1所示的溴类化合物中,优选四溴双酚A-双(2,3-二溴丙醚)或四溴双酚-S-双(2,3-二溴丙醚)。上述溴类阻燃剂可单独使用一种也可混合使用两种以上。
(b)溴的含量为40wt%以上的脂环化合物
对(b)的溴类阻燃剂的制造方法没有特别限定,例如,可通过将环状的链烷多烯按照公知的方法溴化得到。优选六溴环十二烷,四溴环辛烷,氯五溴环己烷等。
(c)2,4,6-三(单,二或三溴苯氧基)三嗪
2,4,6-三(单,双或三溴苯氧基)三嗪的的制造方法没有特别的限定,例如有在二烷等的有机溶剂中,碱性条件下,将氰尿酰氯与单、双或三溴酚进行酯化等的方法。
(D)阻燃助剂
进一步加入阻燃助剂,可提高阻燃性能。作为阻燃助剂,可以举出三氧化锑、五氧化锑、氧化锡、氢氧化锡、锡酸锌、羟锡酸锌、氧化钼、钼酸铵、氧化锆、氢氧化锆、硼酸锌、偏硼酸锌、偏硼酸钡等,优选三氧化锑。
(E)任意的添加成分
除(C)所述的阻燃剂之外的阻燃剂也可在不降低树脂组合物性能的情况下并用。例如,也可与含卤有机化合物,含卤磷酸酯,磷酸酯、硅氧烷(silicone)化合物、水合金属化合物等并用。上述表示包括市售品在内的,作为阻燃剂使用的含卤有机物、含卤磷酸酯、磷酸酯、硅氧烷化合物、水和金属化合物等,没有特别限定。上述添加成分可单独使用一种,也可合用两种以上。
作为含卤有机化合物,可以举出双(五溴苯基)乙烷、双(2,4,6-三溴苯氧基)乙烷、乙撑双四溴邻苯二甲酰亚胺、六溴苯、五溴甲苯、聚二溴亚苯基醚、三(2,3-二溴丙基)三聚异氰酸酯、三溴酚、三溴苯基烯丙基醚、三溴新戊醇、四溴双酚A、四溴双酚S、四溴双酚A-碳酸酯低聚物、四溴双酚A-双(2-羟基二乙醚)、四溴双酚A-二烯丙基醚、八溴三甲基苯基茚满、聚(五溴苄基丙烯酸酯)、溴化聚苯乙烯、溴化聚乙烯、溴化聚碳酸酯、全氯环十五烷等。
作为含卤磷酸酯可以举出三(2,3-二溴丙基)磷酸酯、三(2,3-溴氯丙基)磷酸酯、三(三溴新戊基)磷酸酯、双(2,3-二溴丙基)-2,3-二氯丙基磷酸酯等。
作为磷酸酯可以举出磷酸三苯酯、磷酸三甲苯酯、磷酸(三)二甲苯酯、磷酸二苯基-甲苯酯、磷酸间苯二酚-双(二苯基)酯、磷酸双苯酚A-双(二苯基)酯、磷酸间苯二酚-双(二甲苯)酯、磷酸双苯酚A-双(二甲苯基)酯、磷酸间苯二酚-双(二-2,6-二甲苯基)酯等。
作为硅氧烷类化合物可以举出聚二甲基硅氧烷、聚二苯基硅氧烷等。
作为水合金属化合物可以举出氢氧化镁、氢氧化铝等。
也可与金属皂、脂肪酸甘油酯、山梨糖醇酐脂肪酸酯等的分散剂,受阻酚类、亚磷酸酯类等的抗氧化剂,双酚A二环氧甘油醚、三缩水甘油基三聚异氰酸酯等的环氧化合物,有机锡化合物、水滑石、沸石等的热稳定剂,苯并三唑类等的紫外吸收剂,苯甲酸酯类、受阻酚胺类等的紫外线稳定剂,玻璃纤维、碳纤维等的抗冲击改善剂,氧化钛、炭黑等的着色剂,滑石、aerosil等的填充剂,有机硅类树脂、氟类树脂等的润滑剂以及抗滴下剂,亚苄基卡必醇类、有机酸铝盐等的晶核剂,聚醚类、表面活性剂等的抗带电剂,偶氮二酰胺、碳酸钠等的发泡剂,相容化剂等的各种添加剂配合使用。
本发明的组合物可用周知的方法制造。例如,在制造成形品的时候,将树脂和溴类阻燃剂以及膨胀石墨用双螺杆挤出机、班伯里混合机、LABOPLASTO MILL、热锟进行混炼,并利用注塑成型机、热压机等,制造得到预期的成形体。另外,混合的方法可任意选择,例如,可将树脂和阻燃剂事先混合后,必要的话,再与其它的添加剂混合。
实施例和比较例
以下对实施例和比较例进行详细的说明,但本发明并不限定于此。
实施例和比较例中所使用的原料,如下所述:
(A)烯烃类树脂
A-1:EPDM;Plasmer 1075B(SK Corp.)
A-2:聚丙烯;德山ポリプロME 230(德山ポリプロ股份公司)
(B)热膨胀性石墨
B-1:热膨胀性石墨;80 LTE-110(Air Water Chemicals inc.粒径:80目≥、500℃膨胀度:≥110cc/g、水份:≤2.0%
B-2:热膨胀性石墨;80LTE-U(Air Water Chemicals inc.粒径:80目≥、200℃膨胀度:≥5.0cc/g、水份:≤4.0%
B-3:热膨胀性石墨;SYZR802(三洋贸易股份公司,粒径:180目≥、500℃膨胀度:≥180cc/g、膨胀开始温度:180℃。
(C)(a)如通式1所示的溴类阻燃剂
(a)-1:四溴双酚-A-双(2,3-二溴丙醚);ピロガ-ド SR-720(第一工业制药股份公司)
(a)-2:四溴双酚-S-双(2,3-二溴丙醚);ノンネンPR-2(丸菱油化)
(b)含有结合溴脂环基、溴的含量在40%以上的溴类阻燃剂六溴环十二烷;ピロガ-ド SR-103(第一工业制药股份公司)
(c)2,4,6-三(单,双或三溴苯氧基)三嗪
2,4,6-三(2,4,6-三溴苯氧基)三嗪;ピロガ-ドSR-245(第一工业制药股份公司)
(D)阻燃助剂;
D:三氧化锑;ピロガ-ドAN-800(T)(第一工业制药股份公司)
(E)其它添加成分
E-1:抗氧化剂;IRGANOX B225(Ciba Specialty Chemicals Inc.)
E-2:分散剂;リケマ-ルS-200(理研维生素股份公司)
将以上成分按照表1、表2所示的重量比率进行配合。
实施例和比较例的试验方法如下所示。
各种试验片制作方法:用热锟在180℃下混炼10分钟,用热压机在180℃下加压3分钟之后,用树脂切割机切成规定的试验片。
阻燃性试验:依照UL-94垂直燃烧试验法
试验片:长125mm、宽12.5mm、厚度0.8mm
氧指数法(LOI)燃烧试验依照JIS K 7201(旧法)进行。
试验片:长80mm、宽6.5mm、厚度3.2mm
表面硬度
(树脂A-1):按照ASTM D2240求得硬度。
(树脂A-2):按照JIS K7202求得硬度。
结果如表1和表2所示。

与纯树脂相比,硬度不足+3%的标记为◎,+3~不足6%的标记为○,
+6%以上的标记为×。
抗拉强度是按照ASTM D4 12求得。
与纯树脂相比,抗拉强度维持90%以上的标记为◎,80%以上~不足90%的标记为○,不足80%的标记为×。
结果表明,使用本发明的树脂组成物的成形体(实施例1~12),显示出优良的阻燃性。另外,实施例3、11、12中,通过加入分散剂,机械强度得到提高。比较例1、3、4、6的阻燃性差,比较例2、5的机械物性显著降低。
Claims (6)
2.如权利要求1所述的阻燃性烯烃类树脂组合物,其中,烯烃类树脂(A)为烯烃类橡胶。
3.如权利要求1所述的阻燃性烯烃类树脂组合物,其中,烯烃类树脂(A)为热塑性塑料。
4.如权利要求1到3中任意一项所述的阻燃性烯烃类树脂组合物,其中,无机阻燃助剂为三氧化锑。
5.如权利要求1到4中任意一项所述的阻燃性烯烃类树脂组合物,还含有重量比率不足1%的抗氧化剂。
6.如权利要求1到5中任意一项所述的阻燃性烯烃类树脂组合物,还含有重量比率不足1%的分散剂。
