技术领域
本发明涉及用于管理记录介质的复制保护信息的方法,且更为具体的说,涉及用于改进复制保护信息的安全性的方法,该复制保护信息用于解密在比如CD(密纹唱片)、DVD(数字多用途光盘)或BD(蓝光光盘)的光盘的数据区中加密和记录的A/V数据。
背景技术
通常,例如CD或DVD的能够记录数字视频或音频数据的光盘已经被广泛使用和商业化,且作为比如BD的高密度光盘的标准已经快速进步,预期相关产品将在不久的将来得到商业化。
为防止非法和非授权的拷贝在这种光盘中记录的数字视频或音频数据的内容,已经提出其中将使用复制保护信息加密的A/V数据记录在光盘的数据区中且在光盘的特定区域,比如引入区中记录和管理复制保护信息的复制保护信息管理方法。将在下面详细描述该方法。

发明内容
因此,考虑上述问题做出本发明,且本发明的目的是提供用于管理记录介质的复制保护信息的方法和设备,其显著增强了复制保护信息的安全性。
本发明的另一目的是提供用于管理记录介质的复制保护信息的方法和设备,  由此非法拷贝的光盘驱动器不再能够执行正常的回放操作。
根据本发明,通过提供一种管理记录介质的复制保护信息的方法能够实现上述和其它目的,该方法包括:在记录介质的第一特定区域中记录复制保护信息,所述复制保护信息用于解密在记录介质的数据区中加密和记录的数据;在记录介质的第二特定区域中记录第一密钥,所述第一密钥用于解密该复制保护信息;和在第一特定区域中记录密钥更新信息,所述密钥更新信息指示解密复制保护信息需要的第二密钥是否有效,其中在用于播放记录介质的驱动器或应用设备中管理第二密钥。
根据本发明的又一方面,提供了一种记录介质,其包括:数据区,其中记录使用复制保护信息加密的数据;第一特定区域,其中记录复制保护信息和密钥更新信息,所述密钥更新信息指示解密复制保护信息需要的第二密钥是否有效;和第二特定区域,其中记录用于解密复制保护信息的第一密钥。

图2示出了应用于根据本发明的用于管理记录介质的复制保护信息的方法的光盘驱动器500的配置的框图。如图所示,光盘驱动器500可以包括解密块50和密钥计算块51。可以在光盘驱动器500中管理根据本发明新定义的驱动器密钥52。
复制保护信息,例如加密的光盘密钥被记录在被插入光盘驱动器500的光盘400中设置的密钥锁存器中。另外,具有用于读取光盘密钥的第一密钥值的隐藏代码被以预先记录形式记录在光盘400的特定区域中,例如,在光盘400的引入区的预记录(压纹)区域中。

如果由特定制造者制造的光盘驱动器500或应用设备600被无许可地非法拷贝,具体地说,如果必须符合复制保护信息的驱动器制造者已经制造了光盘驱动器而不具有许可证颁发者的许可证合同,在之后制造的新光盘上记录新的密钥更新信息,使得对应于没有许可地非法拷贝或制造的光盘驱动器或应用设备驱动器或应用设备密钥不再有效。
例如,假定由制造者“AAA”制造的光盘驱动器是非法拷贝的,同时驱动器密钥“0x0000”被记录在光盘驱动器中。之后,生产光盘的内容提供商在要被记录在新生产的光盘中的密钥更新信息中,复位对应于制造者“AAA”的驱动器密钥“0x0000”的有效标志,使得具有比特值“0”的有效标志指示制造者“AAA”的驱动器密钥“0x0000”无效,如图7所示。内容提供商在新生产的光盘中记录密钥更新信息,该密钥更新信息包括和制造商“AAA”和驱动器密钥“0x0000”的信息相关联记录的复位有效标志。
然后,内容制造者允许在新生产的光盘驱动器中管理的驱动器密钥的信息(例如,“0x0001”),和其比特被设置为“1”以指示驱动器密钥“0x0001”有效的相应有效标志的信息被包括在和制造者“AAA”的信息相关联的密钥更新信息中。
利用在光盘驱动器或应用设备中管理的驱动器或应用设备密钥以及从光盘驱动器400读取的隐藏代码的组合,新生产的光盘驱动器的密钥计算块51读取在光盘驱动器400的密钥锁存器中的密钥更新信息。
在密钥锁存器中记录的复制保护信息被参考制造者的信息、每个制造者的驱动器或应用设备密钥,以及在读取的密钥更新信息中包括的、指示驱动器或应用设备密钥是否有效的有效标志来读取和解密。
如果在光盘驱动器或应用设备中管理的驱动器或应用设备密钥是“0x0001”,包括在读取的密钥更新信息中的相应的标志比特是“1”,且因此确定在光盘驱动器或应用设备中管理的驱动器或应用设备密钥有效。因此,正常读取和解密复制保护信息,允许正常地再现在光盘的数据区中记录的音频和视频数据。
另一方面,如果光盘驱动器或应用设备中管理的驱动器或应用设备密钥是“0x0000”,在读取的密钥更新信息中包括的相应标志比特是“0”,且因此确定在光盘驱动器或应用设备中管理的驱动器或应用设备密钥无效。因此,不许可正常地读取和解密复制保护信息,防止了正常地再现在光盘的数据区中加密和记录的音频和视频数据。
在这种情况下,还通过组合隐藏代码和驱动器或应用设备密钥来解密复制保护信息。但是,如果基于在密钥更新信息中包括的标志比特确定在光盘驱动器或应用设备中管理的驱动器或应用设备密钥有效,可以获得复制保护信息而不需要解密。
从上述说明可以看出,本发明能够显著改进复制保护信息的安全性。
另外,本发明有效抑制了光盘驱动器的非法拷贝。
另外,本发明禁用了非法拷贝的光盘驱动器,且具体地说防止了无许可生产的驱动器播放光盘。
另外,本发明能够防止一次性拷贝所有制造者的光盘驱动器。
虽然为了示例性的目的公开了本发明的优选实施例,本领域普通技术人员认可在不脱离本发明如权利要求所公开的范围和精神的情况下,能够做出多种修改、添加和替换。

Claims (8)

1.一种管理记录介质的复制保护信息的方法,该方法包括:
在记录介质的第一特定区域中记录复制保护信息,所述复制保护信息用于解密在记录介质的数据区中加密和记录的数据;
在记录介质的第二特定区域中记录第一密钥,所述第一密钥用于解密复制保护信息;和
在第一特定区域中记录密钥更新信息,所述密钥更新信息指示解密复制保护信息需要的第二密钥是否有效,
其中在用于播放记录介质的驱动器或应用设备中管理第二密钥。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中,该第一密钥是以抖动预制凹坑的形式或以具有低频分量的抖动形式记录的隐藏代码;该第二密钥是由制造驱动器的制造者的唯一驱动器ID标识的唯一密钥;且复制保护信息是在加密之后记录的记录介质密钥。
3.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中,已经制造该驱动器的制造者的信息、每个制造者的第二密钥的信息和指示第二密钥是否有效的标志的信息被彼此相关联地包括在密钥更新信息中。
4.一种用于管理记录介质的复制保护信息的方法,该方法包括步骤:a)使用第一密钥和第二密钥读取在记录介质的第一特定区域中的密钥更新信息,所述第一密钥从记录介质的第二特定区域读取,所述第二密钥在用于播放记录介质的驱动器或应用设备中管理;
b)基于读取的密钥更新信息确定第二密钥是否有效;和
c)根据在所述步骤b)的确定结果,确定是否使用第一和第二密钥解密在第一特定区域中记录的复制保护信息。
5.如权利要求4所述的方法,其中,该第一密钥是以抖动预制凹坑的形式或以具有低频分量的抖动形式记录的隐藏代码;该第二密钥是驱动器密钥或应用设备密钥;且该密钥更新信息记录在密钥锁存器中。
6.如权利要求4所述的方法,其中,制造用于播放记录介质的驱动器或应用设备的制造者的信息、每个制造者的第二密钥的信息和指示第二密钥是否有效的标志的信息被彼此相关联地包括在密钥更新信息中。
7.如权利要求6所述的方法,其中,如果基于对应于在驱动器或应用设备中管理的第二密钥的标志确定第二密钥有效,则使用第一和第二密钥解密该记录在第一特定区域中的复制保护信息,所述标志包括在密钥更新信息中。
8.如权利要求6所述的方法,其中,如果基于对应于在驱动器或应用设备中管理的第二密钥的标志确定第二密钥无效,则不解密该记录在第一特定区域中的复制保护信息,所述标志包括在密钥更新信息中。
