Description
Process for the preparation of a black azo dye. It has been found that a black azo dye is obtained if the diazo compound of the p-aminoazo body of diazotized p-cresidin + a-naphthylamine is combined with 2-3-oxynaphthoic acid-ss-naplita-Iid.
When dried, the dye forms a blue-black, metallic powder that is insoluble in water, soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid with a green color, and from this solution through water in black flakes. is felled. It can also be produced on the fiber and then provides blue-black dyeings with excellent fastness properties.
<I> Example: </I> <B> 29.1 </B> parts of the p-aminoazo body from diazotized p-kresidiii <B> + </B> a-naplitylamine are in 40 parts hydrochloric acid 20 'B6 and Dissolved about 4500 parts of water and diazotized with 6.9 parts of sodium nitrite in the usual way. The diazo compound formed in this way is freed from minor impurities by filtration.
31.3 parts of 2-3-oxy-naplitoesäure-ss-naplitalid are dissolved in 20 parts of sodium hydroxide solution <B> 36 '</B> B6 and <B> 900 </B> parts of water with the addition of an aqueous solution of < B> 13 parts sodium acetate and 2 parts Turkish oil dissolved in the heat, cooled with ice to about <B> 10 '</B> and filtered. This solution is allowed to run into the diazo solution at <B> 10 </B> to <B> 15 '</B> while stirring.
After the coupling has ended, the dye formed is filtered off. It forms a metallic, shiny, bluish-black powder that dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a green color and is precipitated in black flakes by water.
