La fig. 1 est une coupe en vue partielle du rasoir; La fig. 2 est un plan à échelle réduite d'une lame triangulaire; Les fig. 3 et 4 sont des vues semblables des deux parties du porte-lame; La fig. 5 est une vue de côté de l'objet de la fig. 4 ; La fig. 6 est une vue agrandie d'un dé tail, et La fig. 7 une coupe partielle suivant À-B de la fig. 1, vue dans la direction de la flèche C; Les fi-,. 8 et 9 montrent des variantes de lames;
Cette tige<I>t a</I> son extrémité<I>t </I> en forme de tournevis.
Safety razor. The object of the present invention is a safety razor comprising a thin tris blade clamped between two parts of a blade holder, which are movable with respect to each other and provided with means making it possible to keep them pressed. one against the other by trapping said thin blade between them.
The special feature of this razor is that the blade has at least three sharp sides. It can be triangular, square, hexagonal, etc.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a sectional view of the razor; Fig. 2 is a reduced-scale plan of a triangular blade; Figs. 3 and 4 are similar views of the two parts of the blade holder; Fig. 5 is a side view of the object of FIG. 4; Fig. 6 is an enlarged view of a detail, and FIG. 7 a partial section along A-B of FIG. 1, viewed in the direction of arrow C; The fi- ,. 8 and 9 show variants of blades;
Fig. <B> 10 </B> shows a variant of the object of fig. 6 seen part cry cut, and La, fig. 11 shows it as a plan; Lai fig. 1 \ 2 shows a variant of the part shown at 5, sectional view; Fig. 13 is a view from below of the lower end of this part; Fig. 14 is a variant of FIG. 4. In the razor shown in fig. 1, a designates the wool placed between the support b and the compressor c of the blade holder.
The blade, holder and compressor are triangular in shape. The first (fig.2) comprises in each angle a radial slot a 'a = a' which separates the parts 1, 2 and 3 from one another with cutting edges of 'cd2 and ci'; '. In the center of the blade is a triangular hole e.
The support b (fig. 3 and <B> 7) </B> is slightly convex and has on its three sides a protective comb b1, b2 and b3 and also in the center. a triangular hole <B> 1 '. </B> The compressor c (fig. 4 and 5) is also convex and carries, in the center of its internal face, a fixing pin, the upper part of which g has cross section. triangular, tan say that the lower part h is of circular section and has a groove hi. The free end of this pin ends in a point i ..
The razor handle is hollow and consists of four tubular parts which are screwed one after the other. The first of these parts is a socket 7c having an axial opening f (fig. 3 and 7) of triangular section, corresponding to the part, g of the compressor pin c. This socket is riveted, on the one hand, to the inner surface of the support b (fig. 7) and, on the other hand, screwed onto the second part l of the handle. This contains a chamber h in which is housed a spring ttt (fig. 1).
This spring in the deployed state is formed of a plate such as shown in Fig.6 and in which is formed a circular hole o. The two ends a 'and ne-' of the spring are bent in an S-shape so that, when the spring is pressed into the chamber 1 ', their upper parts tend to move closer together in the chamber. the direction of the axis of the part Z. The spring ni is fixed in its housing by its base which is clamped between a small stop d '(fig. 7) of the part d and the head r21 of the tube y2 on which L is screwed.
The tube r2 contains the flanged spring r, which surrounds the rod t of a piston p and rests, on the one hand, against the head itl of the tube <I> ta </I> and, on the other hand , against the pïston <I> p </I> so as to exert in the direction of the arrow S a pressure on the piston p.
The rod of the latter has at some distance from the end coming out of the tube r, a rim <B> p '</B> which rests against a stop q' of the fourth part q of the handle, which is screwed onto the end iz = of the tube <I> ta. </I> The free end of the rod t of the piston p has a size <I> t '</I> (fig. 7) which corresponds to the tip i of the compressor fixing pin c.
To fix the blade cc on the blade holder, it is placed on the inside of the compressor c by inserting the pin g in the hole e of the blade, so that the parts numbered 1,? and 3 of the -lame come to be placed on the parts of the com presser c, bearing on its two faces also the numbers 1, \ 'and 3. The pin is then introduced into the opening f of the support b which is fixed permanently on the handle, and pressure is exerted on the latter, so as to introduce the fixing pin fully between the parts 7t2 'and m = of the spring in and to engage these parts in the groove hl of the pin.
The blade is thus firmly clamped between the two parts of the blade holder, the compressor c and the toothed support b; the shaver is ready to use.
To release the blade a, press on the end p3 of the piston -p which penetrates deeper into the handle and acts by the rod t on the pin h so as to release it from the spring in. Compressor c can then be removed with the blade.
A variant of the spring tta small be constituted by a part such as that shown in fig. <B> 10 </B> and 11. This part is a cylindrical part ii, comprising at its base a rim ic 'intended to be placed between the stop 12 of the part <I> l </I> and the rzl end of the tube <I> te. </I> Two diametral slots t41 and an outer circular groove zc allow the flanges u4 to move apart during the introduction of the pin and to resume their position when it is called up by exerting strong pressure on it.
Fig.l21 shows a variant of compressor c. The part h, instead of being integral with c, is screwed into the head g 'of this compressor, so as to obtain, as needed, for example to shave more closely, a less forceful clamping of the blade. To carry out this partial loosening, while the razor is being used, it suffices to impart a very slight rotation to the rod t, by means of a knurled knob not shown in the drawing. This <I> t </I> rod <I> t </I> has the shape of a screwdriver.
This screwdriver is placed in one of the grooves, h. = Of part h. and allows to unscrew fi and loosen t. So that this loosening is small enough, the rod h has at its end 1c 'a groove M in which is ellgagel. a rj2 pin which prevents the movement from taking too much amplitude.
Fig. 14 shows a variant of FIG. 3; the support b, instead of being provided on its three ceded with protective combs bl V <B><I>V</I></B> <I>, </I> is simply provided with elongated openings. parallel to the cutting edges of the blade, which gives the assembly, the support blade, a certain elasticity.
Instead of a hearth fixed to the blade holder by means of a spring, wool could be fixed by means of a screw. In this case, the circular section part of the compressor fixing pin would be cylindrical and unnecessary with a thread which would engage in the threaded part of the handle.
Instead of being triangular, the wool could have any other. shape having more than three angles, such as, for example, a square or hexagonal shape, as shown in FIG. 8 and ü. The hole intended for passage of the fixing pin and the upper part of the latter could also be square instead of triangular.
The razor described above has the following advantages over the known militia blade safety razors: a) The blade has more than two lines. songs, which are numbered, so (read the person who is used small to know which are the edges already used yes lion.
b) Thanks to the relatively sharp angles of the blade, the little cry easily shaves in delicate places, for example around the lips, near the nose and the ears without risking cutting itself. Unevenness of the skin, such as pimples, can be avoided more easily with this razor than with two-edged ones.
c) The installation, fixing and release of the blade is done more quickly with the model shown in fig. 1 than with ordinary razors, since a simple pressure tain is enough for the fixation than for the release of the wool.
