la fig. 1 représente schématiquement, vu de dessus, le dispositif de cette forme d'exécution, l'outil étant représenté dans sa position d'écartement maximum vers l'extérieur ;
la fig. 2 représente l'appareil de la fig. 1, l'outil étant alors dans sa position d'écartement minimum afin d'éviter un pied de culture ;
Agricultural device for working the soil between the stems of crop plants
The present invention relates to an agricultural device for working the soil between the feet of cultivation plants, particularly remarkable for its simplicity and efficiency.
We know, in particular, that in the case of aligned crops, such as, for example, vines, it is necessary, several times a year, to work the soil at the foot of the vines, in order to ensure a better yield for these crops.
However, it is well known that, most often, the devices made so far to work the soil, in particular, in the vines, did not allow the earth to be turned over, in an area between two consecutive aligned vines, by engaging the coulters mounted on the plow or the tractor in this interval: there was a risk, more often than not, of tearing one of the feet of these stocks if the driving of the plow or the tractor was not done with great precision.
In order to ensure the erasure of the tool likely to engage between two consecutive cultivation feet, we had tried, in particular in the case where the tool holder is of the parallelogram type, to bring a fixed arm on the one of the sides of the parallelogram, an arm capable of coming into contact with the cultivation foot and, consequently, capable in principle of ensuring the erasure of the tool when the latter arrives at the passage of an obstacle.
However, the achievements of this type have absolutely not given satisfaction, because such fixed arms required in order to be able to be folded down by the obstacle, the application of a significant force, which led, in the case of young vines, the tearing of vines by these arms. In addition, these fixed arms having to be placed very close to the ground, were sometimes liable to come up against a stone or a hard root ball, which caused the device to operate unexpectedly.
The aim of the present invention is to remedy this drawback, while implementing only simple means and, for this purpose, the device which is the subject of the invention is characterized by plowing tools attached to a articulated parallelogram, substantially horizontal, mounting laterally on a carrier vehicle, normally urged outwardly against a stop by elastic means for placing said tools outwardly of the carrier vehicle and by an articulated arm in a substantially horizontal plane around a fixed point of the device and comprising, at one of its ends means coming to bear on one of the articulated arms of the parallelogram, and at the other of its ends, a feeler arm, intended to come in contact with the crop,
all in such a way that a folding of the feeler member by a cultivation plant causes a folding of the parallelogram and thereby the removal of the tools from said plant.
The appended drawings show, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention.
On these drawings:
fig. 1 shows schematically, seen from above, the device of this embodiment, the tool being shown in its position of maximum separation towards the outside;
fig. 2 shows the apparatus of FIG. 1, the tool then being in its minimum spacing position in order to avoid a crop foot;
fig. 3 shows a side perspective of the device shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, and
fig. 4 shows a variant of the device of FIGS. 1 to 3.
In fig. 1 and 2, we can see a fixed cross member 1 of a carrier vehicle such as, for example, a tractor on which is mounted a base 2 provided with a jumper, said base supporting an articulated parallelogram 3 and a tool 4 (it In this case, it is about a plow cutter) mounted on a support 5 provided for this purpose on the parallelogram.
The tool 4 is, thanks to the spring 6, normally biased towards the left in order to be able to work the ground as far as possible towards the outside of the vehicle.
An arm carrying two branches 7 and 11 is capable of pivoting about an axis 9 mounted on a part integral with the base 2. The branch 8 of the arm is mounted in a yoke 10 provided on part 7 of said arm in the same way. which will be explained in more detail below.
The other branch 11, integral with part 7, is provided with a roller 12 which is in contact with the external face of one of the sides of the parallelogram 3. If we now refer to FIG. 3 which represents, in perspective, the same apparatus as in FIGS.
1 and 2, it can be noted that part 8 of the articulated arm is attached to part 7, thanks to a yoke 10, a spring 13 being provided between the two flanks of the yoke, in order to hold the end of 8, side interior, in contact with the lower side of the yoke.
In order to ensure an adjustable and non-rigid connection between the movement of the parts 7 and 8, an elongated flange is provided, mounted on a rod 14 which allows, on the one hand, a certain movement of the part 8 in a vertical plane. and, on the other hand, due to the fact that the end 15 of this rod 14 is threaded, to fix with precision the relative positions of 7 and 8 with the aid of a lock nut system.
The operation of the device described is extremely simple.
When no object comes into contact with the arm 8, the tool is normally placed in the position shown in FIG. 1. In this position the spring 6, due to the arrangement of its attachment points, energetically applies one of the sides of the parallelogram 3 against the roller 12, carried by the arm 11: this roller 12 therefore serves as a stop for the parallelogram.
When, on the other hand, during the progress of the plow or the tractor, the arm 8 comes into contact with a cultivation base such as 16, due to the advancement of the tractor, this arm 8 is folded backwards. , which also causes the roller 12 to move backwards and, consequently, causes the parallelogram to take the position shown in FIG. 2, position in which the tool has come close enough inwards to be able to avoid the cultivation base 16.
It can be noted that the feeler arm has made a rotation of about 900 under the action of a small force which is applied in the vicinity of the end of 8 and, consequently, with a maximum torque while l tool 4 has only carried out a lateral displacement of the order of a few centimeters but in force against the action of the spring 6, this thanks to the arrangement of the points of application of the forces (roller 12 and end of 8) relative to the fixed fulcrum 9.
On the other hand, when the arm 8 is at the rear end of its travel, it comes to rest on the side of the tool coulter and, in any case, allows the latter not to engage in the- beyond the obstacle constituted by the vine, which is an additional job security.
Finally, it will be noted that, in order to allow the arm element 8 to pass an obstacle of low height such as an isolated stone or a hard clod of earth without the erasing mechanism of the tool coming into action, it The element 8 is fitted in the yoke 10 using the return spring 13 and the elongated guide flange 14.
If we now refer to fig. 4, one can see a variant of the device described above.
According to this variant, the arm 7-11, of curved shape, is replaced by the arm 17, articulated at 18.
The arm 17 supports the feeler element 19 by virtue of a closed flange 20 on which are provided the usual locking means as well as the usual means provided for adjusting the length of the element 19.
