Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung steppdeckenartiger Gebilde Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung gesteppter Waren, insbesondere von Materialien für Polsterungen, dekorative Füllungen und andere Verwendungszwecke. Ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von gestepptem Polstermaterial, bei welchem die Steppnähte zwischen den einzelnen Ausbauchungen durch elektrisches Zusammenschweissen erzeugt werden, ist bereits bekannt. Die vorliegende Erfindung, welche dem gleichen Zweck dient, unterscheidet sich von den früheren Vorschlägen durch das für das Füllen und Formen der Ausbauchungen verwendete Verfahren. Gestepptes Material besteht aus drei Teilen: dem obern gemusterten oder gewellten Deckenteil, der Wattierung oder Füllung und dem Bodenteil. Die Erfindung sieht ein Verfahren vor zur Herstellung von steppdeckenartigen Gebilden aus thermisch verschweissbaren Stoffen, bestehend aus Bodenteil, Füllung und Deckenteil, bei welchem Bodenund Deckenteil durch die Füllung hindurch längs Nahtlinien miteinander verschweisst werden, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man den Deckenteil durch Anwendung von Vakuum in eine gewellte Form saugt, auf den so vorgeformten Deckenteil die Füllung aufbringt und diese mit dem Bodenteil deckt. Im erfindungsgemässen Verfahren kann die Decke entweder aus einem Blatt eines nicht verstärkten thermoplastischen Materials oder aus einem auf der einen oder auf beiden Seiten mit einem thermoplastischen Polymermaterial überzogenen Grundmaterial von lockerer oder offener Struktur bestehen. Wo ein überzogenes Grundmaterial verwendet wird, kann dieses von gewobener, verfilzter oder gestrickter Struktur sein und aus natürlichen oder synthetischen Fasern bestehen. Es kann sich um ein Textilgebilde oder um ein papierartiges Erzeugnis handeln. Es soll vorzugsweise eine lockere Struktur haben, wie zum Beispiel ein offenes Gewebe, wenn die Decke an die Aussenseite des fertigen Materials zu liegen kommt, da das thermoplastische Material beim Schmelzen unter der Einwirkung von Hitze dann in den Grundstoff eindringen kann, so dass das Zusammenschmelzen rascher erfolgt. Das Bodenmaterial kann ebenfalls aus einem nicht verstärkten thermoplastischen Blatt eines Polymermaterials oder aus einem überzogenen Grundmaterial bestehen, wie es für die Decke definiert wurde. Da der Boden üblicherweise nicht sichtbar ist, wenn das fertige Produkt im Gebrauch ist, und da er ziemlich stark sein soll, verwendet man am besten grobes Segeltuch, welches auf der Innenseite mit einem dünnen Belag von thermoplastischem Polymermaterial überzogen ist. Die Füllung besteht zweckmässig aus thermoplastischem Material, so dass sie beim Zusammenpressen von Boden und Decke unter gleichzeitigem Erhitzen schmilzt und zwischen Decke und Boden dadurch eine Naht gebildet- wird. Geeignete Füllmaterialien sind geschäumtes oder verblasenes Polyurethan oder faserige Matten von Celluloseacetat. Für das Schweissen kann irgend eines der üblichen Schweissverfahren zur Anwendung gelangen, doch eignet sich am besten das Hochfrequenz-Schweissverfahren im Kondensatorfeld. Zweckmässig werden deshalb im erfindungsgemässen Verfahren thermoplastische Materialien verwendet, welche auf diese Weise verschweissbar sind. Geeignete thermoplastische Materialien sind Vinylpolymere, insbesondere Polyvinylchlorid, und Vinylmischpolymerisate. Das Polymermaterial kann mit Weichmachern, Pigmenten und andern bekannten Stoffen vermischt werden. Im folgenden wird eine beispielsweise Ausführungsform einer zur Durchführung des Verfahrens geeigneten elektrischen Schweissvorrichtung beschrieben unter Bezugnahme auf die Zeichnung. In dieser stellen dar: Fig. 1 eine skizzenhafte Darstellung der zwei Elektroden, Fig. 2 einen Querschnitt durch die Elektroden mit Decke, Füllung und Boden, letzterer in schweissbereiter Stellung. Die obere Elektrode 1 besteht aus festem Material. Die untere Elektrode besteht aus einer Reihe von Metallrippen 3, welche auf einem hohlen Gehäuse 2 befestigt sind, das durch den Stutzen 4 evakuiert werden kann. Zwischen den Rippen 3 befinden sich nichtleitende Füllungen 5 mit der umgekehrten Form der zu bildenden Ausbauchungen. Diese sind am Gehäuse 2 befestigt und mit Öffnun- gen 6 versehen, welche mit dem Vakuumgehäuse 2 in Verbindung stehen. Bei der Durchführung des Verfahrens wird die Decke 7 auf die Rippen 3 und die Zwischenfüllungen 5 gelegt und Vakuum eingeschaltet, wodurch die Decke angesaugt, in die richtige Stellung gezogen und dann festgehalten wird. Nun wird die Füllung 8 auf der Decke ausgebreitet und darauf der Boden 9 gelegt. Dann wird die obere Elektrode auf das Material gepresst, wobei die Füllung 8 in die Vertiefungen der Zwischenfüllungen 5 gepresst und die Decke 7 mit dem Boden 9 dicht zusammengebracht wird. Wenn die Elektroden unter Strom gesetzt werden, wird im Decken- und Bodenmaterial am Kopf der Rippen 7 Hitze erzeugt. Hierdurch wird die Füllung entlang den Rippen geschmolzen, wobei die Verschweissung zwischen Decke und Boden vollzogen wird. Die Rippen können nach Wunsch angeordnet werden zur Bildung von geraden Rillen-oder einer rautenformig oder sonstwie gemusterten Steppdecke. Die Elektroden können für die Herstellung beliebiger Formen ausgestaltet sein, beispielsweise so, dass in einem einzigenArbeitsgang ein Stuhlkissen hergestellt werden kann, das nur noch an den Rändern überarbeitet werden muss. Das Verfahren kann für die stückweise Anfertigung verwendet werden, wie beispielsweise mit der beschriebenen Vorrichtung, oder es kann, wenn erwünscht, so durchgeführt werden, dass ein kontinuierliches Band von gestepptem Material entsteht, indem man als die eine Elektrode eine geeignet gerippte Walze verwendet.
Claims (1)
- PATENTANSPRÜCHE I. Verfahren zur Herstellung steppdeckenartiger Gebilde aus thermisch verschweissbaren Stoffen, bestehend aus Bodenteil, Füllung und Deckenteil, bei welchem Boden- und Deckenteil durch die Füllung hindurch längs Nahtlinien miteinander verschweisst werden, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man den Deckenteil durch Anwendung von Vakuum in eine gewellte Form saugt, auf den so vorgeformten Deckenteil die Füllung aufbringt und diese mit dem Bodenteil deckt.II. Vorrichtung zur Durchführung des Verfahrens nach Patentanspruch I, welche zwei Elektroden enthält, mit denen ein elektrisches Hochfrequenzfeld erzeugt werden kann, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die eine Elektrode als Gegenform ausgebildet und mit einer Vakuumvorrichtung zum Ansaugen des Deckenteils auf die geformte Oberfläche versehen ist.III. Nach dem Verfahren von Patentanspruch I hergestelltes steppdeckenartiges Gebilde.UNTERANSPRÜCHE 1. Verfahren nach Patentanspruch I, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein Deckenteil aus einem Grundmaterial verwendet wird, das mit einem thermoplastischen Überzug versehen ist.2. Verfahren nach Unteranspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein thermoplastischer Überzug aus Polyvinylchlorid verwendet wird.3. Verfahren nach Patentanspruch I, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein Deckenteil aus unverstärktem Polymermaterial verwendet wird.4. Verfahren nach Patentanspruch I, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein Bodenteil aus einem Grundmaterial verwendet wird, das mit einem thermoplastischen Überzug versehen ist.5. Verfahren nach Patentanspruch I, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein Bodenteil aus unverstärktem Polymermaterial verwendet wird.6. Verfahren nach Patentanspruch I, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass eine thermoplastische Füllung aus faserigem Celluloseacetat verwendet wird.
