Enseigne lumineuse La présente invention a pour objet une enseigne lumineuse, qui est caractérisée en ce qu'elle comporte un support fixe destiné à être fixé à une paroi, perpendiculairement à celle- ci, un corps monté sur ce support, l'entourant et capable de tourner autour de lui, un mécanisme pour donner un mouvement de rotation à ce corps, des moyens d'éclairage disposés à l'intérieur de ce corps et portés par ledit support, et en ce que les parois de ce corps sont en matière laissant passer la lumière et sont pourvues de signes publicitaires en matière réfringente.
Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, deux formes d'exécution d'une enseigne lumineuse selon l'invention.
La fig. 1 est une vue en coupe longitudinale de la première forme d'exécution.
La fig. 2 est une vue analogue de la seconde forme d'exécution.
La fig. 3 est une vue en bout correspondant à la fig. 2.
L'enseigne lumineuse représentée sur la fig. 1 comporte un support fixe 1 ayant la forme d'une tige rectiligne, qui est destiné à être fixé à une paroi 2 telle qu'un mur, perpendiculairement à elle. Un corps 3, de forme prismatique, est monté sur ce support, coaxia- lement, de façon à l'entourer. Ce corps est ca- pable de tourner autour du support 1, en 4 et 5. Un mécanisme comprenant un moteur électrique 6, des roues d'engrenage 7 et 8 et un chemin de transmission 9, est prévu pour donner un mouvement de rotation continu au corps 3, par l'intermédiaire de la douille 5 qui en est solidaire et qui tourne sur le support 1.
Des moyens d'éclairage constitués dans l'exemple représenté par des tubes à décharge luminescente 10, sont disposés à l'intérieur du corps 3. Ces tubes sont supportés par des pièces 11, 12, fixées au support 1 et par conséquent immobiles ; ces tubes s'étendent parallèlement à l'axe du support 1.
Les parois du corps 3 sont en matière laissant passer la lumière et sont de préférence formées par des plaques de verre organique ; elles sont pourvues de signes publicitaires (lettres, textes et/ou dessins) que l'on voit en coupe en 13, qui sont en matière réfringente, par exemple aussi en verre organique.
On comprend que, lorsque le corps 3 est mis en rotation, les textes ou signes publicitaires qu'il porte apparaissent successivement sur chacun des côtés latéraux de l'enseigne lumineuse. On pourrait naturellement prévoir que le mouvement de rotation du corps 3 soit, non pas continu, mais soit intermittent, de façon que chaque texte publicitaire reste immobile pendant un certain temps puis tourne d'une

fraction de tour, reste immobile, et ainsi de suite.
Dans la forme d'exécution selon la fig. 2, on a une disposition tout à fait semblable à celle qui vient d'être décrite, la seule différence étant que le moteur 6 agit sur la douille 5 pour faire tourner le corps 3 par l'intermédiaire d'un mécanisme 14 grâce auquel le corps 3 effectue un mouvement intermittent d'un quart de tour dans un sens, puis dans le sens inverse. Le corps 3 étant de forme prismatique à base carrée, comme on le voit sur la fig. 3, il s'ensuit que si l'on a un texte a sur deux faces voisines et un texte b sur les deux autres faces, on a alternativement un texte a à gauche avec un texte b à droite, puis inversement un texte b à gauche avec un texte a à droite (par rapport à la fig. 3).
Dans le cas de la fig. 3, on a donc un mouvement alternatif continuel. On pourrait aussi prévoir un mécanisme tel qu'il s'agisse d'un mouvement alternatif intermittent.

Illuminated sign The present invention relates to an illuminated sign, which is characterized in that it comprises a fixed support intended to be fixed to a wall, perpendicularly thereto, a body mounted on this support, surrounding it and capable of to turn around it, a mechanism for giving a rotational movement to this body, lighting means arranged inside this body and carried by said support, and in that the walls of this body are made of material leaving pass the light and are provided with advertising signs in refractive material.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, two embodiments of an illuminated sign according to the invention.

Fig. 2 is a similar view of the second embodiment.
Fig. 3 is an end view corresponding to FIG. 2.
The illuminated sign shown in FIG. 1 comprises a fixed support 1 having the shape of a rectilinear rod, which is intended to be fixed to a wall 2 such as a wall, perpendicular to it. A body 3, of prismatic shape, is mounted on this support, coaxially, so as to surround it. This body is able to turn around the support 1, at 4 and 5. A mechanism comprising an electric motor 6, gear wheels 7 and 8 and a transmission path 9, is provided to give a continuous rotational movement. to the body 3, by means of the bush 5 which is integral with it and which rotates on the support 1.
Lighting means constituted in the example shown by luminescent discharge tubes 10, are arranged inside the body 3. These tubes are supported by parts 11, 12, fixed to the support 1 and therefore immobile; these tubes extend parallel to the axis of the support 1.
The walls of the body 3 are made of material allowing light to pass and are preferably formed by plates of organic glass; they are provided with advertising signs (letters, texts and / or drawings) which can be seen in section at 13, which are made of refractive material, for example also of organic glass.
It is understood that, when the body 3 is rotated, the texts or advertising signs that it carries appear successively on each of the lateral sides of the illuminated sign. One could naturally provide that the rotational movement of the body 3 is, not continuous, but is intermittent, so that each advertising text remains motionless for a certain time and then turns by

fraction of a turn, remains motionless, and so on.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, there is an arrangement quite similar to that which has just been described, the only difference being that the motor 6 acts on the sleeve 5 to rotate the body 3 by means of a mechanism 14 thanks to which the body 3 makes an intermittent movement of a quarter turn in one direction, then in the opposite direction. The body 3 being of prismatic shape with a square base, as seen in FIG. 3, it follows that if we have a text a on two neighboring faces and a text b on the other two faces, we have alternately a text a on the left with a text b on the right, then conversely a text b at left with a text a on the right (compared to fig. 3).
In the case of fig. 3, there is therefore a continuous reciprocating movement. We could also provide a mechanism such that it is an intermittent reciprocating movement.
