Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung einer aliphatischen, komplexhildenden Diamino-N,N'-tetraessigsäure. Gegenstand vorliegenden Patentes ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer aliphatisehen komplexbildenden Diamino-N,N'-tetraessig- säure. Das Verfahren ist. dadurch gekennzeich net, dass man 1 Mol ss,ss'-Diamino-diäthylsulfid mit -1 Mol einer Halogenessigsäure umsetzt.
Die erhaltene neue Verbindung, die ss,ss'- Diarnino - diäthylsulfid - N,N' - tetraessigsäure, stellt ein weisses Pulver dar. Sie soll als Textil- hill'smittel Verwendung finden.
Beispiel: Zu einer Lösung von chloressigsaurem Na trium, hergestellt durch Neutralisation von 208 Teilen Chloressigsäure, gelöst. in 450 Tei len Wasser, mit 293 Teilen --\-atrortlauge 30o/nig bei rnax. 12 , werden 60 Teile ss,ss'-Diamino- diät.hylsulfid gegeben. Durch Erwärmen bringt man die Reaktionslösttn; auf eine Umsetzungs temperatur von 70-75 und hält durch wei teres Zutropfen von 293 Teilen Natronlauge 30o/oig stets deutlich alkalische Reaktion auf recht.
Nach Beendigung des Laugenzusatzes wird die Reaktionslösung noch 6 Stunden bei 90-95 gerührt und dann filtriert. Nach Fil- tration der Reaktionslösung versetzt man mit Salzsäure 30o/oig bis zur sehwach kongosauren Reaktion und verrührt alsdann bei mässiger Temperatur mit etwa 2500 Teilen Methanol. :Nach längerem Stehen scheidet sich die ge bildete Tetraessigsäure langsam ab.
Durch Umkristallisation aus Wasser wird die ss,ss'- Diamino-diät.hylsulfid-N,N'-tetraessigsäure als weisses Pulver in reiner Form erhalten.

The subject of the present patent is a process for the preparation of an aliphatic complex-forming diamino-N, N'-tetraacetic acid. The procedure is. characterized in that 1 mol of SS, SS'-diamino-diethyl sulfide is reacted with -1 mol of a haloacetic acid.
The new compound obtained, the ss, ss'-diarnino-diethyl sulfide-N, N'-tetraacetic acid, is a white powder. It is said to be used as a textile hill.
Example: To a solution of sodium chloroacetic acid, prepared by neutralizing 208 parts of chloroacetic acid, dissolved. in 450 parts of water, with 293 parts - atrortlauge 30o / nig at rnax. 12, 60 parts of ss, ss'-diamino diet.hyl sulfide are given. The reaction solutions are brought up by heating; to a reaction temperature of 70-75 and always maintains a clearly alkaline reaction by adding further 293 parts of 30% sodium hydroxide solution dropwise.
After the addition of alkali has ended, the reaction solution is stirred for a further 6 hours at 90-95 and then filtered. After the reaction solution has been filtered, 30% hydrochloric acid is added until the reaction is weakly Congo acidic, and the mixture is then stirred with about 2500 parts of methanol at a moderate temperature. : After standing for a long time, the tetraacetic acid formed slowly separates out.
Recrystallization from water gives the ss, ss'-diamino-diet.hylsulfide-N, N'-tetraacetic acid as a white powder in pure form.
