Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung einer aliphatischen, komplexbildenden Diamino-N,N'-tetraessigsäure. Gegenstand vorliegenden Patentes ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer aliphatischen, komplexbildenden Diamino-N,N'-tetraessig- #,äure. Das Verfahren ist. dadurch gekenn zeichnet, dass man ss,ss'-Diamiiro-diät.hyläther- N,N'-t.etraaeetonitril verseift.
Die erhaltene neue Verbindung, die ss"B'- Diamino - diäthylätIrer - N,N' - tetraessigsäure, stellt ein weisses Pulver dar. Sie soll als Textil- hilfsmittel Verwendung finden.
Beispiel: <B><U>'2</U></B>6 Teile ss,ss'-Diamino-diäthyläther-N,N'- tetraaeetonitril, erhältlich aus ss,ss'-Diamino- cliätliylätlier, Formaldehyd und Blausäure naeli an sieh bekannter Methode, werden mit 120 Teilen 16,7 o/oiger Natronlauge am Rüek- i'1u1@ so lange auf 95-105 erhitzt,- bis kein :linmoniak mehr entweicht.
Die Lösung wird hierauf etwas verdünnt.. Nach Filtration der Reaktionslösung versetzt man mit Salzsäure :30o/oig bis zur sehwach kongosauren Reaktion arid verrührt alsdann bei mässiger Temperatur mit etwa 2500 Teilen Methanol. Nach länge rein Stehen scheidet. sich die gebildete Tetra essigsäure langsam ab. Durch Umkristallisa tion aus wässrigem Alkohol kann die ss,ss'- Diainino-diäthyläther-N,Nj'-tetraessigsäLtre in reiner Form als weisses Kristallpulver erhal ten werden.
Die Verbindung besitzt eine grosse Kom- plexbildungskonstante für Erdalkaliionen und ist deshalb geeignet, die Härtebildner des Wassers in komplexer Bindung zu halten oder bereits gebildete Niederschläge, verursacht. durch Erdalkaliionen, wieder aufzulösen.
