  <B>Zusatzpatent</B> zum Hauptpatent Nr. 292051.    Verfahren zur Herstellung einer     aliphatischen,    komplexbildenden     Diamino-N,N'.tetraessigsäure.       Gegenstand vorliegenden Patentes ist ein  Verfahren zur Herstellung einer     aliphati-          sehen,        komplexbildenden        Diamino-N,N'-tetra-          essigsäure.    Das Verfahren ist dadurch     gekenn-          zeichnet,    dass man     ss,ss'-Diamino-diäthylsulfid-          N,N'-tetraacetonitril    verseift.  



  Die erhaltene neue Verbindung, die       niamino    -     diä,th    y     lsulfid    -     N,N'    -     tetraessigsäure,     stellt ein weisses Pulver dar. Sie soll als Tex  tilhilfsmittel     Verwendung    finden.

           Beispiel:            25,2    Teile     ss,ss'-Diamino-diäthylsiilfid-N,N'-          letraacetonitril,    erhältlich aus     ss,ss'-Diamino-          cliätliyisulfid,    Formaldehyd und Blausäure  nach an sich bekannter Methode, werden mit       120        Teilen        76,7%iger        Natronlauge        am        Rüek-          fluss    so lange auf 95 bis 105  erhitzt, bis kein  Ammoniak mehr entweicht. Die Lösung wird  hierauf etwas verdünnt und dann filtriert.

    Nach Filtration der Reaktionslösung versetzt         man        mit        Salzsäure        30        %        ig        bis        zur        schwach     kongosauren Reaktion und verrührt alsdann  bei mässiger Temperatur mit. etwa 2500 Tei  len Methanol. Nach     längerem    Stehen scheidet  sich die gebildete     Tetraessigsäure    langsam ab.

    Durch Umkristallisation aus Wasser wird die       Diamino    -     diäthylsulfid    -     N,N'-tetraessig-          säure    in reiner Form als weisses Pulver er  halten.

  The new compound obtained, niamino-diä, thylsulfid-N, N'-tetraacetic acid, is a white powder. It is said to be used as a textile auxiliary.

           Example: 25.2 parts of ss, ss'-diamino-diethylsilfide-N, N'-letraacetonitrile, obtainable from ss, ss'-diamino-cliätliyisulfid, formaldehyde and hydrocyanic acid according to a known method, with 120 parts of 76.7% Sodium hydroxide solution heated to 95 to 105 on the Rüek river until no more ammonia escapes. The solution is then slightly diluted and then filtered.

    After filtration of the reaction solution, 30% strength hydrochloric acid is added until the reaction is weakly Congo acidic, and the mixture is then stirred at a moderate temperature. about 2500 parts of methanol. After standing for a long time, the tetraacetic acid formed slowly separates out.

    By recrystallization from water, the diamino - diethyl sulfide - N, N'-tetraacetic acid is obtained in pure form as a white powder.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung einer aliphati- sehen, komplexbildenden Diamino-N,N'-tetra- essigsäure, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man ss,ss' - Diamino - diäthyl"Rilfid -N,N'- tetraaceto- nitril verseift. Die erhaltene neue Verbindung; die ss,ss'- Diamino - diäthylsulfid - N, N'- tetraessigsä.ire, stellt ein weisses Pulver dar. PATENT CLAIM: Process for the production of an aliphatic, complex-forming diamino-N, N'-tetraacetic acid, characterized in that ss, ss' - diamino - diethyl "Rilfid -N, N'-tetraacetonitrile is saponified new compound; the ss, ss'- diamino - diethyl sulfide - N, N'- tetraacetic acid, is a white powder.
