Process for the preparation of a new derivative of 4,4'-diaminodiphenyl sulfone. It is known that 4,4'-diaminodiphenylsulfone has a good effectiveness against cocci infection, but is very toxic, whereby its use is taken. Various parties tried to avoid this disadvantage by introducing one or both amino groups of the 4,4'-diaminodiphenylsulfone radicals.
It has now been found that new derivatives of 4,4'-diaminodiphenylsulfone that are very effective and at the same time much less toxic can be obtained if 4,4'-diaminodiphenylsulfones, which contain at least one unsubstituted amino group, are used Acetaldehyde disulfonic acids respectively. implements their descendants.
Particularly valuable compounds are obtained if 4,4'-diamino diphenylsulfones are used as starting materials in which any amino group, eg. B. is substituted by an acid residue, for example acetic acid or CarbaminsäuTe.
Acetal dehyddisulfonic acids or their derivatives are used for the implementation. their salts, e.g. B. sodium a-cetaldehyde disulfonic acid, sodium bromoacetaldehyde disulfonic acid and the like. The implementation can follow in a known manner. There are z. B. the sulfones with the disodium salt of A @ cetaldehyddisulfonic acid in water at elevated temperature is converted and then isolated in the usual way, the sodium trium salts.
The subject of the present patent is a process for the preparation of a new derivative of 4,4'-diaminodiphenyl sulfone, which is characterized in that 4-amino-4'-acetylamino-diphenyl sulfone is mixed with the disodium salt of acetal-clehyddisulfonic acid implements.
The new compound of the formula thus obtained

is a white powder and is fairly easily soluble in water. It should find therapeutic use.
Example: 27 parts of the disodium salt of acetaldehyde disulphonic acid and 27 parts of 4-amino-4'-acetylainino-diphenylsulphone are in a mixture of 200 parts of water and 150 parts Alcohol heated to a gentle boil, gradually dissolving. The condensation product of the formula is obtained from the hot solution by precipitation with, 1 (100 parts of alcohol
