Description

  

  Verfahren     zur        Herstellunb    eines neuen     Benzimidazolderivates.       Es wurde gefunden, dass man zu einem  neuen     Benzimidazolderivat    gelangt, wenn  man     ,u    -     heptad@ecylbenzimidazolsulfon@sa..ures     Natrium in wässeriger Lösung mit     Chloramei-          sensäuremethylester    umsetzt.  



  Die Umsetzung wird zweckmässig in der  Wärme, z. B. bei     50-6,0',    vorteilhaft in  Gegenwart     eines    säurebindenden Mittels, wie       Natriumbicarbonat,    ausgeführt.  



  Das so erhältliche neue     Benzimidazol-          derivat    ist ein weisses Pulver, das von Was  ser zu einer klaren, gegen Ameisensäure be  ständigen Lösung aufgenommen wird. Es  kann als     Textilhilfsmittel,    z. B. als Wasch  mittel, Anwendung finden.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  46 Teile     ,u-heptadecylbenzimidazolsulfon-          saures    Natrium werden mit 8,5 Teilen Na  triumbicarbonat in 900 Teilen Wasser bei  54-57   gelöst und unter Rühren innerhalb    40 Minuten mit 9,5 Teilen Chlorameisen  säuremethylester versetzt. Darauf wird wäh  rend einer halben .Stunde bei der gleichen  Temperatur     weiter    gerührt. Die so erhaltene  Lösung reagiert ganz schwach alkalisch.  Nach dem Eindampfen im Vakuum bei 100    erhält man ein weisses Pulver, das sich in  Wasser klar löst. Die Säurebeständigkeit ist  gegenüber dem Ausgangsmaterial sehr stark  verbessert.

   Eine     wässerige    Lösung des     Um-          setzungsproJuktes        wird    beim Ansäuern mit  Ameisensäure viskos, bleibt jedoch     vollstän-          dig    klar. Das Ausgangsmaterial wird aus  einer neutralen     wässerigen    Lösung beim An  säuern     mit    Ameisensäure     quantitativ    ge  fällt.

  <I> Example: </I> 46 parts of u-heptadecylbenzimidazolesulphonic acid sodium are dissolved with 8.5 parts of sodium bicarbonate in 900 parts of water at 54-57 and, while stirring, 9.5 parts of methyl chloroformate are added over the course of 40 minutes. It is then stirred for half an hour at the same temperature. The solution obtained in this way has a very weak alkaline reaction.    An aqueous solution of the reaction product becomes viscous on acidification with formic acid, but remains completely clear. The starting material is quantitatively precipitated from a neutral aqueous solution when acidified with formic acid.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Benzimidazolderivates, dadurch gekennzeich net, dass man ,u-heptadecylbenzimidazolsul- fonsaures Natrium in wässeriger Lösung mit Chlorameisensäuremethylester umsetzt. Das so erhältliche neue Benzimidazol- derivat ist ein weisses Pulver, das von Was ser zu einer klaren, gegen Ameisensäure be ständigen Lösung aufgenommen wird. Es kann als Textilhilfsmittel, z. B. als Wasch- mittel, Anwendung finden.
