EMI0001.0007
und eine Verbindung der Formel
EMI0001.0008
Process for the production of an aromatic asylsulphonamide. The present patent is a process for the preparation of an aromatic asylsulfonamide see. The procedure is (1 <idiireh characterized in that one 1) connection of the formula
EMI0001.0007
and a compound of the formula
EMI0001.0008
wherein X and Y are reactive radicals which split off in the reaction with the exception of an NH group contained in one of them, can act on one another.
The resulting new compound, the N - (p-Meithyl-benzoyl) - na-phthalene-2-sulfonamide, melts after recrystallization at 1.-38 to 161. It forms salts with inorganic or organic bases. She should. can be used as anti-infective agents.
Example 1: 20 parts of naphthalene-2-sulfonamide are refluxed for several hours in 200 parts of chlorobenzene with 13.6 parts of p-1-ethylbenzoesäu.re and 20 parts of phosphorus pentoxide and then the chlorine benzene is distilled off with steam. The residue is taken up in bicarbonate solution, treated with animal charcoal, filtered and precipitated with acetic acid. By recrystallization.
Alcohol, the N - (p, - methylbenzoyl) naphthalene-2-sulfonamide is obtained completely pure.
Example 2 3.5 parts of naphthalene-2-sulfona.mid are dissolved in 110 parts of absolute pyridine, 26 parts of pi @ lethylbenzoic acid chloride are added in portions and the batch is heated to 80 to 90 for 3 hours . After cooling, it is poured into dilute hydrochloric acid, where the N- (p-methyl-benzoyl) -naphthalene-2-sulfonamide crystallizes out.
For cleaning, the compound is taken up in bicarbonate solution, treated with animal charcoal, filtered and precipitated with acetic acid. Recrystallized from dilute alcohol, the product melts at 158 to 161. If the calculated amount of sodium alcoholate is added to the alcoholic solution, the sodium salt of N- (p-methyl-benzoyl) -naphthaIine-2 @ -sulfonamide is easily formed.
Example 3: 20.7 parts of naphthalene-2-sulfonamide who suspended in 100 parts of nitrobenzene, treated with 19 parts of aluminum chloride and 15.4 parts of p-methylbenzoic acid chloride and the mixture for a few hours to 501 he warms.
The nitrobenzene is then distilled off with steam and the residue is taken up in solo solution. The N- (p-methylbenzoyl) -naphthalene-2-sulfonamide is precipitated from the filtered solution with acetic acid and purified by recrystallization from alcohol.
Instead of aluminum chloride as a condensing agent, you can just as easily use copper powder as a catalyst.
Example 13.5 parts of p-methylbenzoic acid amide are dissolved in 200 parts of absolute xylene, 4 parts of sodium amide are added and the mixture is heated until the evolution of ammonia ceases.
After this. Cooling gives 22.6 parts of naphthalene-2-sulfochloride in 100 parts of xylene and refluxes the mixture for several hours. After the reaction has ended, the solvent is distilled off in vacuo, the residue is taken up in bicarbonate solution and filtered. By acidifying with hydrochloric acid, the N- (p-methyl-benzoyl)
-naphthalene-2-sulfonamide precipitated. By recrystallization. Alcohol allows the new compound to be presented completely pure.
