Remontoir étanche. L'objet de la présente invention est un remontoir àtauche à couronne se vissant sur la boite et possédant à l'intérieur d'un tube axial un dispositif d'accouplement avec la tige de remontoir, disposé et conformé de façon que :ladite couronne puisse -accomplir, lorsqu'elle est dévissée, les fonctions de re montage et de mise à l'heure;
La fig. 1 est une coupe axiale d'une pre rnière forme d'exécution; la fig. 2 est une coupe suivant 'la :ligne II-II de la fig. -1; la fig. 3 est une coupe suivant la ligne III-III- de la fig. 1; les fig. 4 et 5 sont des coupes axiales de ,deux variantes d'exécution; la .fig. 6 est une coupe axiale d'une autre variante;
Waterproof winder. The object of the present invention is a left-hand winding crown screwed onto the case and having, inside an axial tube, a coupling device with the winding stem, arranged and shaped so that: said crown can -accomplish, when unscrewed, the functions of reassembly and setting the time;
this winder is characterized in that said axial tube is permanently attached to the crown and has, at its end opposite the crown, a part projecting inwardly -and constituting one of the elements -of the coupling , the other elements of the coupling being introduced into said tube before it is fixed to the crown.
The appended drawing represents, by way of examples, several embodiments of the waterproof winder forming the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an axial section of a first embodiment; fig. 2 is a section along the line II-II of FIG. -1; fig. 3 is a section taken along line III-III- of FIG. 1; figs. 4 and 5 are axial sections of two variant embodiments; the .fig. 6 is an axial section of another variant;
fig. 7 is a section along .la: line VII-VII of FIG. 6; fig. 8 is an axial section of another embodiment; fig. 9 is an axial section of another variant and FIG. 10 is a section taken along the line X-X of FIG. 9; figs. 11, 12 and 13 are axial sections of other embodiments, and FIGS. 14 and 15 show variant details.
In the example shown in FIG. 1, the middle part 1 of a watch case is pierced with a threaded hole in which is screwed a tube 2, a threaded flange 2 'of which protrudes on the outer surface of the middle part. 3 denotes the body of a ring with ta- audée hollow 4 screwing on the threaded flange 2 'of tube 2. 5 denotes a short hollow axial barrel of the crown which limits the recess 4. 6 is a tube in one hard metal, for example steel integral with the crown 3 and fitted in the tube 2 of the box. It is inside this tube 6 that the coupling device with the winding stem is placed, a device of which said tube 6 itself has one of the elements.
Its inner end, that is to say opposite to the crown, in fact has an annular bearing surface 7 in which are formed two notches 7 '(FIG. 2), diametrically opposed, constituting the female element of the device. 'coupling.
The winding stem 8 carries a sleeve 9 screwed onto its threaded outer end and fitted into the annular bearing surface 7. This sleeve 9 comprises two fins 10, diametrically opposed, forming the male element of the coupling and intended to cooperate with the notches 7 'of the scope 7 of the tube 6- to secure in rotation the winding stem and the crown when the latter is de-. screwed.
The outer end 9 'of the sleeve 9 forms a solid rod of reduced diameter on which is engaged a sleeve 11 provided, at its inner end, with an annular flange 11' with a diameter equal to that of the circle in which are inscribed 'the fins 10. The sleeve 11 is held in place by an edge 12 @ of the end of the rod 9'.
The flange 11 'serves as an axial stopper for the bearing surface 7 of the tube 6 @ when the fins 10 are engaged in the notches 7' of this bearing surface, thus making it possible to drive the winding stem 8 in position of setting the time of the hands, by pulling the crown outwards. A coil spring 13 is engaged on: the sleeve 1.1; its inner end rests on the flange 11 ', while its outer end rests on a steel washer 14 placed at the bottom of the axial hole of the barrel 5 - of the crown. The purpose of this washer is to prevent the coil res from damaging the bottom of the hole, which is made of soft metal.
The sleeve 11 with its flange 11 'could also be made in one piece with the sleeve 9 and its rod 9'. The tube 6, made of a hard metal, is fixed; permanently to the crown after the other elements of the coupling, namely the -douille 9 with its fins 10, the sleeve 11 and the coil spring 13, have been introduced into the interior of this tube. For this purpose, 1.e tube 6, the outer end of which is adjusted to hard friction in the barrel 5; has outer fins 15 intended to engage in slots 16 (fig. 3) made in the end of the barrel 5.
The fins 15 are arranged at the periphery of an annular bearing surface 17, the lower connection surface 17 'of which is oblique. By pushing the soft material of the barrel 5 against the oblique surface 17 ', the tube 6 is secured axially with the barrel 5, the angular fixing being carried out by the fins 15.
An annular package 18 is glued. on the edge of the flange 2 'of the tube 2 integral with the box. 19 designates a thin, press-fitted shell which covers all the visible surfaces of the crown.
Fig. 1 shows the winder in the rest position: the crown is screwed onto the flange 2 'of the tube 2. The crown and the stem 8 are uncoupled. To wind the movement, the crown 3 is unscrewed; as soon as the latter is released, it moves axially under the action of the spring 13 until the bearing surface 7 of the tube 6 abuts against the flange 11 'of the sleeve 11, the fins 10 being engaged in the notches 7 '. The crown and the winding stem are thus coupled and united in rotation, which makes it possible to wind the movement.
To set the hands, all you have to do is pull the crown outwards as usual; the. scope 7 of the tube 6 drives the rod 8 axially by the flange 11 '. The tube 6 permanently fixed to the crown being made of a hard metal, the female coupling member constituted by the bearing 7 with its notches 7 'can be fitted in one piece with it, which makes it possible to reduce the diameter of the winder and simplify construction.
Figs. 4 to 15 all relate to variants of the hard metal fixture for the tube 6 to the crown 3i.
In the example of FIG. 4, the crown 3 does not have a hollow barrel. The tube 6 has, at its outer end, a flange 20 with serrations 21 which rests against the bottom of the threaded hollow 4. A s.ertis @ te 22 axially secures the tube 6 and the ring 3i which are secured in rotation by the serrations 21.
This crimping 22 is obtained by upsetting, along the line 2.3 of the material of a shoulder 24 which comprises the wall of the recess of the blank of the crown before its tapping (in punch tiltered in Fig. 4). The steel washer 14, intended to protect the bottom of the ereusure of .the crown from wear by the boiled spring 13, is force-fitted into the outer opening of the tube 6 after the other elements -the coupling were introduced there, but, of course, before the fixing of said tube to the crown by the crimping 22.
In the example of FIG. 5, the tube 6, the outer end of which also has a flange 20 with serrations., 21, is further screwed onto a threaded axial tenon 25 of the crown. A crimp 212, penetrating between the teeth 21, prevents the tube from unscrewing.
In: the variant of f.ig. 6 and 7, the tube 6, the outer end 6 'of which is thicker, still has an annular flange 2'0 at the periphery of which protrude two diametrically opposed fins 27, intended to engage in corresponding notches 2.8 spared in:
the outer end of a ring 29, driven by force into the smooth-walled recess of the crown 3 @, and provided with the internal screw thread by means of which the crown is screwed onto the threaded part 2 'of the tube 2 @. The ring 29 is held in place by pushing the edge of the crown 3 back onto the bevelled edge 30 of a serration 30 'that it presents.
The ring 2.9 has, at its outer end, a circular countersink 31, intended to support the edge of the sealing washer 18. The ring 219 is preferably made of steel or glucinium bronze to prevent wear of the pitch. inner screw which, with ordinary nickel silver crowns, is too fast. The steel washer 14 is pressed between the flange 20 of the tube 6 and the bottom of the crown recess.
The machining and assembly of this embodiment are carried out as follows: the crown 3, provided with the shell 19 ', is hollowed out so that the ring 29 can be driven out after having placed the tube 6 containing the other elements of the coupling as well as the steel plate 14 and the sealing washer 18; we finish with the ser weaving 30 which serves to hold everything in place.
It is obvious that the screw thread ring 29 could have, instead of a 3'0 'toothing with bevelled edge, a flat toothing and, in this case, the material of the edge of the crown would simply be forced out from below. . The exterior of the ring 29 could also be grooved. One could also provide the ring 2; 9 with a fine external thread and screw it into a corresponding internal thread of the -cou ronne, instead of driving it there. Locking would then take place by deforming the last thread of the fine thread of the ring 29.
The screw thread ring 29 has other advantages than that of being made of a hard metal: the thread can be done more easily and more cleanly because the tap can pass through the ring; the thread being net to the bottom, the height of the crown can be reduced.
In the example of FIG. 8, the outer end of the tube 6 has not only an annular flange 20 but an extension 312, curved downwards, of this flange, provided with a. No internal screw and intended to replace the ring 29 of the previous one. execution form. The tube 6 is fixed to the crown 3 by peripheral fins 33, which the extension 3.2 of the tube comprises and which engage in corresponding notches on the edge of the crown.
A wise crimp 34 holds everything in place axially.
In the variant of FIGS. 9. And 10, the outer end of the tube 6 is provided, as in the example of FIGS. 6 and 7, a flange 20 having dia; rnally opposed peripheral fins 27, but these are intended to engage not only in the notches 28 of the ring 29, but also in 3'S grooves formed in the inner face of the crown wall 3.
In this way, both the ring 29 is angularly secured: the tube 6 and the crown 3. The threaded ring 29 has, at its lower end, an indentation M -in which the material of the edge of the crown is turned back to freeze everything in place. In the example of FIG. 11, the crown 3 has a short hollow threaded barrel 5, the edge 5 ′ -is chamfered. The tube 6 has its outer end threaded over a length greater than that of the barrel 5.
After having introduced into the tube 6 the elements of the coupling and put in place the steel washer 14, the tube is screwed into the barrel 5 and on the threaded part of the tube which - exceeds the barrel, one screws a - locknut 37 provided with a slot 37 '. To block it all out. .de die, one can, by means of an appropriate tool, push back the last thread of the thread of the tube 6 in the -direction of the arrow J \ ,,.
The example of FIG. 12 'is a variant of that of FIGS. 6 and 7. The tube 6 has a flange 20 with peripheral fins 39 and with, in addition, a cutout 40 and a chamfered part 41. The threaded ring 29 has a first countersink 31 to receive the sealing package 18 -and a second countersink to receive the flange 20 of the tube 61.
The fins 319- are engaged in slots 42 -of the ring 29. The flange 2-0 is immobilized with the ring 29 by the rejection of the part 29 'of the ring 29 over the cutout 40, and the edge chan braked 41. The assembly of the tube 6, the ring 29 and the package 1.8 is done first, then, after having introduced the coupling members in the tube 6 and posed the steel plate 14, the tube-ring assembly is driven with hard friction in the. hollow crown 3.
A push-back of the edge 43 .de the crown in the notch 44 and the indentation 45 presented by the lower end of the ring 2'9 makes it possible to fix everything permanently.
In the example of FIG. 13,: the tube 6 has a flange 20 with peripheral fins M . These engage in radial slots 46 formed in a flange 47 - which has the threaded ring 29 above an inner flange 48 ,. Thus 4th find angularly secured the tube 6 -and the ring 29. After introduction of the coupling members ment into the tube 6 beforehand. assembled to the ring 29, the assembly is driven out in the hollow crown 3. A displacement of the material of the crown at 49 and 5'0 makes it possible to fix the assembly permanently in the axial direction.
Figs. 14 and 15 show variants of the crimping ensuring the fixing of the threaded ring 29 to the crown. To prevent the wall of the crown 3, although circular, cannot open in the direction of the arrow F, the edge of the crown is curved in the first of these, variants around the edge of the ring 29 in 51 and, in the second,
the bottom 52 'of the teeth 5 @ 2 that has the bao-ue 29 at its lower -extreme is inclined so as to form an acute angle with the outer wall of the ring. The material of the edge of the crown 3 is forced into this set of teeth.
