Abstract

The ring is designed to adjust the position of knurled screw knob (1) of a watch with respect to the watch casing, whilst retaining the sealing qualities of the watch. The knob can take up a disengaged screw position and an engaged screw position with respect to a knob support tube (2) fixed to the casing (3). The ring (10) is made from a shape memory Micro-Niti alloy. The ring is placed between the casing and tube supporting the knob. An Independent Claim is included for a shape memory alloy ring fitted into the knurled knob.
