Re; spiel:

lets condense.
In formulas I and II, R is the radicals of the acid halides used.
The condensation is expediently carried out in the presence of solubilizers such as nitrobenzene, trichlorobenzene, chloroform, petroleum ether, etc., at an elevated temperature. The test conditions largely depend on the reactivity of the acid halides and the nature of the solvent. Very reactive acid halides, such as B. acetyl chloride, react very well at moderately elevated temperature (40-60), while less reactive acid halides, such as.
B. 4-methyl-bc-nzol-l-sulfochloride require higher temperatures. The structure of the acid halide also has an influence. While z.
B. straight-chain aliphatic carboxylic acid halides, such as normal butyric acid chloride or aromatic carboxylic acid halides, such as benzoyl chloride, 4-nitrobenzoyl chloride, 4-chloro-3-nitrobenzoyl chloride, 4-methylbenzene-1-sulfochloride, in smooth reaction Naphthsultone 4-methyl ketone,
Naphthsultone-4-propylketone, naphthsultone-4-phenylketone, naphthsultone-4- (4'-nitrophenyl) -ketone, naphthsultone-4- (4'-cblor-3 @ -nitrophenyl) -ketone and naphthsultone-4- ( 4'-methylphenyl) sulfone result in other, predominantly branched aliphatic carboxylic acid halides, as well as resins in addition to the concretes to be expected.
The saponification of the new naphthsultone derivatives with alkalis produces 1-oxynaphthalene-8-sulfonic acid derivatives. Their disodium salts have a pronounced ability to crystallize; they are relatively sparingly soluble in cold water.
Because of this poor solubility, they can easily be prepared from the resulting crude sultone reaction mixtures by saponifying with sodium hydroxide solution and allowing crystallization in a suitable concentration and alkalinity in high purity; unchanged naphthsultone is converted into the leielit-soluble disodium salt of 1-oxynaphthylin-8-sulfonic acid and remains in the mother's liquor.
By boiling the new 1-oxynaphthalene-8-sulfonic acid derivatives with phosphorus oxychloride, the corresponding naphthosulfone derivatives are regenerated almost quantitatively.
The corresponding 1-oxynaphthalene-8-sulfamide derivatives are formed by the addition of ammonia when the naphthsultone derivatives are shaken according to the invention with l @ onz @ "-ntrated aqueous ammonia or by gentle heating with aqueous ammonium carbonate solution.
The new compounds are intended to serve as intermediates for the manufacture of dyes.
The subject of the present patent is a process for the production of naplithsultone-4-methylketone, which is characterized in that an acetyl halide is allowed to act on naphthsultone.
The new ketone is a crystallized body with a melting point of 171-1.72 and is used as an intermediate dye product. Re; game:
103 parts of niiplitlistilton are poured over 300 parts of dry benzene in a vessel provided with RtielLflttssl @ iihlei- and rülirer with exclusion of cuchtighcits, and 100 parts of -3i-luniiiiitnulilorid are added.
The whole thing heats up slightly and forms a viscous solution. Add: 47 parts of acetyleliloride (or corresponding amounts of leetvlhroirii. (1) and slowly heat to 60, with copious amounts of cholesterol escaping.
After the gas formation has subsided, the tempera ture is increased to 100 and stirred there for 2-4 hours until the reaction has ended. The reaction mixture is then decomposed with ice and a little concentrated hydrochloric acid and the trichlorobenzene is distilled off with steam. The crystalline naplithite-4-methyl ketone is filtered off with suction, thoroughly extracted with water, vasehen and dried. Yield of raw material 12.3 parts or 99-i; the theory.
After more nia.lit; em ltnicrystallization from chloroform and - \. Llzohol. the ketone has a melting point of 171-172.
The trilobenzene can also be converted by nitrobenzene, petroleum ether, chloroform. he put. If you work with the last two mentioned, the reaction time has to be extended due to the lower boiling points of the solvents.
