Description

  

      Verfahren        zur    Herstellung einer     5-Pyrazolon-4-sulfonsäure.       Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist  ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von 1-(4'       Sulfophenyl)-3-methyl-5-pyrazolon-4-sulfon-          säure.    Das Verfahren ist dadurch gekenn  zeichnet, dass man     1-Phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyr-          azolon    bei     Wasserbadtemperatur    mit rauchen  der Schwefelsäure behandelt und das     Sulfo-          nierungsgemisch    bei tiefer Temperatur auf  arbeitet.  



  Die neue Verbindung bildet ein Natrium  salz, welches ein grauweisses Pulver darstellt.  Sie ist ein wertvolles     Zwischenprodukt    für  die Herstellung von Farbstoffen.    <I>Beispiel:</I>  17,4 Gewichtsteile     1-Phenyl-3-methyl-5-          pyrazolon    werden in 70 Gewichtsteilen  Schwefelsäure von<B>30%</B>     Anhydridgehalt    un  ter Kühlung eingetragen. Die erhaltene Lö  sung     wird    2 Stunden auf 80-85  (Wasser  badtemperatur) erwärmt. Eine Probe     liefert     dann     sodaalkalisch    mit     Diazobenzollösung     keine     Farbstoffbildung    mehr.

   Das     Sulfonie-          rungsgemisch    wird in Dis eingetragen, Die    erhaltene schwefelsaure Lösung kann mit  Natronlauge unter guter Kühlung neutrali  siert und     eingedampft    werden, wobei sich das  sehr leicht lösliche     Natriumsalz    der 1-(4'       Sulfophenyl)-3-methyl-5-pyrazolon-4-sulfon-          säure    abscheidet, das in getrocknetem Zu  stand ein grauweisses Pulver darstellt.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung von 1-(4'-Sulfo- phenyl) - 3 - methyl-5-pyrazolon-4-sulfonsäure, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man 1-Phenyl- 3-methyl-5-pyrazolon bei Wasserbadtempera- tur mit rauchender Schwefelsäure behandelt und das Sulfonierungsgemisch bei tiefer Tem peratur aufarbeitet. Die neue Verbindung bildet ein Natrium salz, welches ein grauweisses Pulver darstellt. Sie ist ein wertvolles Zwischenprodukt für die Herstellung von Farbstoffen.
