umsetzt, worin.

Process for the production of a vat dye. According to the main patent, a valuable vat dye is obtained if m-toluidine is mixed with a pyrazinoanthraquinone of the structure

implements what. X denotes a residue which is split off during the reaction.
Possible residues X that can be split off are halogen atoms, hydroxyl, mercapto, amino, alkoxy and alkyl mercapto groups, and quaternary ammonium groups.
It has now been found. A valuable vat dye is also obtained if the pyrazinoanthraquinone described in the main patent is reacted with m-chlorauiline.
The reaction can be carried out by heating the above-described compound in excess m-chloroaniline or by heating the calculated amounts of the reaction participants in a suitable solvent, e.g.
B. in the presence of nitrobenzene. Under certain circumstances, the addition of a condensation agent such as carbonate, boric acid or an alkali metal bisulfate is advantageous.
The new dye dyes from yellow-brown vat cotton in strong and bright orange tones that have excellent fastness properties.
