Man erhält denselben Farbstoff in sehr guter Ausbeute.
Den Farbstoff erhält man auch, wenn man an Stelle des Pz-Oxyamino-1,2-pyr- azinoanthracbinons das Pz-Oxymethylamino- 1,2-pyrazinoanthrachinon verwendet (herstell- bar auf entsprechende Weise durch Verwen dung von Methylamin an Stelle, von Ammo niak;
gelbrote Nadeln, die in Schwefelsäure mit gelbroter Farbe löslich sind und ein gelbes Sulfat bilden), oder das Pz-Oxy- merkapto-1,2-pyrazinoanthrachinon (herstell- bar durch Umsetzen von Pz-Chloroxy-1,2- pyrazinoanthraehinon mit alkoholischem Na- triumsulfid und Überführung des so erhal tenen Natriummerkaptids in das freie Mer- kaptan durch Behandeln mit Salzsäure;
rot- braunes Pulver, das sich in Alkohol mit rot violetter Farbe löst) oder den daraus durch Methylieren mit Dimethylsulfat erhältlichen Thioäther oder das Pz-Oxyäthoxy-1,2-pyr- azinoanthrachinon (beispielsweise erhältlich durch Erhitzen von Pz - Chloroxy - 1.2 - pyr- azinoanthrachinon mit alkoholischer Kalium hydroxydlösung;

Process for producing a güpenfarbstoües. According to the main patent, a valuable high-quality dye is obtained if m-toluidine is reacted with a pyrazinoanthraquinone of the structure in which X is a radical which is split off during the reaction.
Possible residues X which can be split off are halogen atoms, hydroxyl, mercapto, amino, alkoxy and alkyl mercapto groups, and dual ammonium groups.
It has now been found that a valuable high-quality dye is also obtained if the pyrazinoanthraquinone described in the main patent is reacted with 6-chloro-3-toluidine.
The reaction can be carried out by heating the compound described above in excess 6-chloro-3-toluidine or by heating the calculated amounts of the reactants in a suitable solvent, for example in the presence of nitrobenzene. The addition of a condensation agent such as zinc chloride, boric acid or an alkali metal bisulphate may be advantageous here.
The new dye dyes cotton from a brown vat in strong scarlet shades, which have excellent fastness properties.
<I> Example 1: </I> 3.2 parts of Pz-chloroxy-1,2-pyrazinoanthraquinone (obtainable from Pz-dioxy-1,2-pyrazinoanthraquinone by heating with phosphorus oxychloride in nitrobenzene, yellow-brown needles of melting point <B> 2681 </B> C) are mixed with 1.42 parts of 6-chloro-3-toluidine in 40 parts

len nitrobenzene is boiled until the evolution of hydrochloric acid has ended.
When he cold the reaction mixture, the dye separates out in red needles; it will be kept pure by suction and steaming.
It dyes brown güpe cotton brightly scarlet red.
<I> Example 2: </I> 10 parts of Pz-dioxy-1,2-pyrazinoanthraquinone are heated to 180 to 190 ° C with 2 parts of zinc chloride in 50 parts of nitrobenzene, then slowly 10 Parts of 6-chloro-3-toluidine entered and continued to heat until no more dioxypyrazinoanthraquinone can be detected. Then you leave it cold. sucks off and works as described in Example 1 on. The same dye is obtained in very good yield.
<I> Example 3: </I> 10 parts of Pz-Oxyamiiio-1,2-pyra.zino-anthraquinone (obtainable by introducing ammonia into a solution of Pz - heated to <B> 150 '</B> C) Chlorine-oxy-1,2-pyrazino-anthraquinone in nitrobenzene; red-brown powder that dissolves in sulfuric acid with a brown color and forms a yellow sulfate), 10 parts of 6-chloro-3-toluidine and 30 parts of nitrobenzene are heated to simmer for about 1 hour.
After cooling, the dye that has separated out is sucked off, washed with alcohol and dried.
The dye is also obtained if the Pz-oxymethylamino-1,2-pyrazinoanthraquinone is used instead of the Pz-oxyamino-1,2-pyrazinoanthracbinone (can be prepared in a corresponding manner by using methylamine instead of Ammo niak;
yellow-red needles, which are soluble in sulfuric acid with a yellow-red color and form a yellow sulfate), or the Pz-oxymercapto-1,2-pyrazinoanthraquinone (can be produced by reacting Pz-chloroxy-1,2-pyrazinoanthraquinone with alcoholic Na trium sulphide and conversion of the sodium mercaptide thus obtained into the free mercaptan by treatment with hydrochloric acid;
red-brown powder that dissolves in alcohol with a red-violet color) or the thioether obtainable therefrom by methylation with dimethyl sulfate or Pz-oxyethoxy-1,2-pyrazinoanthraquinone (obtainable for example by heating Pz - chloroxy - 1.2 - pyr - azinoanthraquinone with alcoholic potassium hydroxide solution;
yellow needles from glacial acetic acid) or the pyridinium chloride of the probable composition, obtainable from Pz - chloroxy - 1,2 - pyrazino-anthraquinone by gentle heating with pyridine
