Phone device. The object of the present invention is a telephone apparatus, comprising a watch movement with the aim of indicating the time. This telephone apparatus may be provided with a rotating call disc ordinarily employed in automatic telephone sets and, in this case, the movement of the watch will preferably be carried by the call disc. A winding device for the mainspring of the movement can then be provided and which will come into action when the call disc is actuated, with a view to establishing a telephone call.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a partial view, in front elevation, of an automatic telephone apparatus with a watch movement carried by the call disc; La_ fie. 2 is a section along the line II-II of FIG. 1; Fig. 3 is a side and partial elevation of the apparatus.
In the embodiment shown, 1 denotes the box of the apparatus and 2 the usual fork holder for the receiver. The dis that appeal 1.3. Is mounted on a circular bowl 4, the bottom of which is screwed on the axis 5 which actuates the appeal mechanism in the box 1. An inner circle 6 is fixed, by pressure, in the bowl 4. The gods parts 4 and 6 form the watch box containing the movement 7. A bezel 8 is screwed onto the .display disc 3 and carries the .glace 9.
The watch com carries the dial 10 and an operating button 1.1 for setting the time.
To wind the watch, the following mechanism has been provided: a circular ratchet 12 is attached to the box 1 of the telephone device. A pinion 1.S can be rolled on this crankshaft, rotating on an axis 14, mounted between the wall of the bowl 4 and a bearing 15 screwed onto the bowl. This pinion 13 is meshed with a second pinion 16 which is fixed to the winding stem 17.
One therefore sees that, each time the call disc 3 is actuated to dial a telephone call number, the pin 13 unwinds on the rack 12 and transmits its rotation via the pinion 16 to the winding stem, which is connected, as usual, to the mainspring of the watch movement.
The winding device shall be arranged so that the re-assembly of the spring takes place during the rotation of the take-up disc, clockwise, when approaching, at the using the finger, one or the other of the holes of the disc towards the stop 18, while on the return (read the disc the winding stem 17 will turn empty.
Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment shown in the drawing. In particular, the watch could be put down in another way, and the winding could be done in a different way; one could even provide a watch with electric re-assembly for which the supply current could come from the telephone network ;.
In addition, since the call-call and axis 5 do not -have to execute an entire revolution, the movement of the watch, instead of being carried by the call-disc, could be carried out. + rt Dormed by the fixed box 1 and -le. disc 3 could rotate around the movement and would be made integral with the axle 5 by means of an arm fixed, on the one hand, to the axle, and, on the other hand, to the disc and passing through a circular slot in box 1, extending around the movement at an angle equal to the angle of the greatest movement & rotation performed by the take-up disc.
The rack could be carried by the take-up disc and be engaged with a pinion connected to the mainspring of the movement.
